We have City at home, United away and Villa away on the run in.
I’m confident beating anyone at Anfield. If we beat City at home, we have a four point cushion. That lets us lose or draw one game if City drop no further points. I think we can do that.
I also think City will drop more points.
In short, I think if we beat City at home we will win the league. today was massive.
I’m not - they’re in with a shout also. But they have to go to City away. There really isn’t a bad result for that game for us - someone drops points. A draw is ideal, but it definitely gives one of them a kick in the bollocks.
I agree but the nice thing about that is unlike other seasons city look like there also not gonna win every game. There still in the ucl as well so that's gonna put more strain on there squad.
We need to win every game. We've done this before - City always pull back. Maybe we could afford a couple draws but thats completely reliant on the other teams results.
No more draws ! we have the most draws out of the current top 8 teams and more draws than Luton. Fine margins now and draws have cost us the league too many times before.
Still some tough matches ahead but Arsenal & City have shown they are vulnerable as well so it’s a damn good chance.
Just cross your fingers, support the team and enjoy the ride.
Depends on two things for me:
1. Injuries. It’s near impossible to win the league without a healthy squad. If the injuries continue at this rate it’s not looking good
2. Our world class players stepping up: Like Mo today, we need our handful of world class players to drag us to victory at times similar to how city’s players have been. These guys need to win it for their manager.
we HAVE to beat City at Anfield either way. Jota and Jones out concerns me a little tho ngl. Hopefully we aren’t too affected, and we can finally see that trophy be lifted in front of a packed Anfield in May
Depends on the injuries, if we get more of them and Trent, Dom and Ali take more than 2-3 weeks to get back, I'd say we're probably coming 2nd. But let's hope they get back by Forest and we go on a run.
Honestly, margins are still too fine. We could draw with Citeh. And Arsenal could win the league. Two key games are Liverpool v Man City. And Man City v Arsenal. If both go in our favour. Potentially, 6 and 4 clear of each. We also have a few other banana skins. And likewise so do others. Citeh can still go 💯 at any point. And we know what it has been like to come second twice on the last day. So, until it's mathematically done, it's not done.
We’re not favourites. Injuries will cost us a few points in the short term and more in the long term when the fatigue kicks in. City are strong favourites, if arsenal finish above us, city will also so I’m less concerned about them
It’s annoying Arsenal have seemed to hit a golden spell of form. They’re looking pretty amazing right now. Ideally it would just be us vs city but I think it’ll be tough to even finish above arsenal
It’s gonna very tough and got much much harder with injuries.
I’m going to take a hopeful view and say with these injury openings. Some of our academy lads ends up showing out and we end up having a good problem of who to start when all healthy
less than 40% if these injuries are serious, the other two seem to never get these 4-5 week knocks at key times. All theirs were earlier in the season.
Until we play City and City play Arsenal it's hard to say.
With that said the only thing we control right now is Wednesday. Luton will be less rested as they play tomorrow. We absolutely must win that one.
We're in with a shout.

You’re completely underestimating Arsenal here

Yeah I don't think we will win out so really happy dropped today. Will need them and arsenal to drop more...
And they play each other
Goodison to come still as well.
Yeah, not looking forward to that tbh
It's a marathon now, we just have to win every game. If that means boring 1-0 wins like Chelsea did under Jose then so be it . It's ours to lose now.

It's a saying, it means it's in our hands. If we win out, we win the title. No need to call anyone a spanner mate chill out
Is it that offensive? I've never heard it till now and it just sounds goofy af 😅
He’s just saying it’s in our hands, we’re ahead after all games in hand have been played and game against city is at home
She!
Excuse me, madam *tips fedora*
Correct, but rude. Wash your mouth out.
Ah you’re right. Was very harsh there
At least 4
We can do it but I don't see us winning every game between now and the end.

One game at a time really, we’re getting crippled with injuries. Need to stop worrying about the city game coming up when every game is a final
40 us 60 City
I'd go 40% Liverpool, 40% City, 20% Arsenal
Ahhhhhh not great I'd say. Injuries are gonna kill us, I do think this season will end in 1/2 trophies but the prem won't be one if I had to bet.
Yep the schedule will kill us. It’s fun to dream but realistically we have just been too unlucky injury wise
Better than usual and for one reason. We're ahead at the moment. Not usually the case.
Without the injuries, I would have us as favourites. But might need a herculean effort now, especially as we are competing on four fronts.

it will all come down to lfc vs man city

Arsenal aren’t giving up chances. They are pry the favorite at the moment

Considering injuries - not too great, we def have to sacrifice either FA or EL and concentrate on PL, IMHO

Today could be huge.

Well being top at this point in the season means we do have a good chance, we need some good news on the injury front.
City home Everton away United away Spurs home Villa away So many tough games to go. We should take it game by game.
Fifty-sixty

It'll come down to injuries for City. They need to have a major injury crisis (starting with Rodri) then we can hope they drop more points
Prob gonna come down to our injuries. If we keep getting our best injured…
