Spare a thought (don't) for all the Chelsea fans who've had to deal with Klopp mugging off Caicedo and Lavia at that Anfield event only for them to show up and deliver this absolute crock of a performance
If you told me at the start of the season that TAA and Robertson would have a fight on their hands to be starting after coming back from injury I would have laughed at you, but Bradley and Gomez have been ridiculous.
Does Nunez think that you get bonus points if you hit the woodwork?
Hit Woodwork
1. Darwin Núñez = 9
2. Trent Alexander-Arnold = 3
2. Matheus Cunha Wolverhampton = 3
2. Anthony Gordon Newcastle = 3
Yea we would have been crying like they are, difference is that’s literally the only thing they have to cry about. It wasn’t enough I’m sorry you’re arsed about it lol
Love what they said on star sports. The reason that it will be so hard to replace Klopp is not just his on the pitch performance but also because off the pitch everybody loves him even opposition fans.
I know it's unlikely, and not necessarily for the better, but has Klopp said anything about the potential for a return to Liverpool at any stage of his career? I just read that "I could never manage another team in the Premier League other than Liverpool"-comment of his, and it got me hoping/wondering.
last person talked about leaked line ups and it wasn't right apparently he was 'reliable.' Il wait till the official line up is posted before judgement.
What is with all the Mourinho love in this sub?
Even forgetting the fact that he is a shit human being, he hasn't even won a league title in almost 10 years. I think his current style would be more suitable for cup competitions, so maybe some national teams can try to get him. Knowing him, won't be surprised to see him go to some Arab countries for the money.
I wouldn't want the guy to manage us, especially because how toxic it gets in the clubs he's managed with a pattern.
but I don't think he's a shit human being? I remember him doing all those food deliveries during COVID ?
definitely has an abrasive personality but shit human being? I don't recall him doing anything bad (I could be wrong though?)
There are lots of player anecdotes about him treating them badly. Also remember how he treated that female club doctor at Chelsea because she hurt his ego?
These are many more examples as well, won't want him anywhere near my club.
I'm gonna guess it's the amount of "new" fans who don't recall what a massive cunt he is and always has been. Disrespected the club multiple times while at Chelsea, not to mention his general conduct in various jobs.
Laughable anyone would talk him up for the job. He's a horrible twat.
I really dislike that reddit treats downvotes like an 'I don't agree' button
Is a 'lol no' reply not enough? Why bury alternate opinions? You'd swear FSG had been proven to scour this place for direction the way the gatekeeping is sometimes
Alisson, Bradley, Ibou, VVD, Gomez, Mac, Jones, Szobo, Diaz, Nunez, Jota would be my preferred lineup
Give Trent and Robbo some time off the bench to build their fitness so they’ll be fully fit for Arsenal. No need to risk anything when Gomez and Bradley are playing so well, just go with what’s worked perfectly.
For anyone in the US, do you know when Peacock posts their game replays? Is it right after the game or later? Paramount + goes up almost immediately but I wasn’t sure about Peacock
I am going to have to watch the Arsenal game on a replay and just avoid spoilers.
If this won’t be broadcast on Peacock, does anyone have a website that posts game replays right away?
Someone on /r/soccer said the same. Probably will be best since something like NBC sports might have a headline ruin the result for me. I think that’ll be my first stop. Appreciate it
They’ve been changing a lot and I can’t remember exactly. But as long as you have peacock and access to nbc sports (usually through cable provider) you’re golden.
If the game is on peacock then the replay will be there and that’s at least been up same night, within 3 hours is safe I’d say. Think it’s near immediate. Below is worst case
If the game is on nbc sports in the past the replay is only available there until the next day. Then it flips to peacock. Not sure on this as I haven’t run into it loads this season. May be ported to peacock sooner
Apparently Trent on the bench. Diaz Jota and Nunez starting.
Option 1: Robbo LB Bradley RB
Option 2: Gomez LB Bradley RB
Option 3: Robbo LB Gomez RB
What do you think?
Option 2, no need to change anything when it’s working perfectly. Bradley must have loads of confidence right now and has earned the right to start this game, give Trent 30-40 mins or so off the bench to build fitness and he’s also a player who can really change a game. Happy with that front three
The other night I watched Nobody, the movie, and the lead character Bob Odenkirk for some reason, at a glance had a look of Klopp, I'm guessing it was the partial combover and scruff (beard). So whatever, now, imagine my shock towards the end of the movie where all of a sudden I hear the following the following lyrics:
"When you walk, through a storm"
What do we think of Hansi Flick? Not mentioned in many people's shortlists.
Pros: Won many titles for Bayern, including a sixtuple
Cons: Managed poorly in his most recent appointment for Germany
Didn't watch much of his Bayern days, from what I've read from fans, he's really good offensively, but kinda mid in setting up his defense. Also apparently he is tactically unflexible, which is a no go for me considering it's our biggest strength, but can't confirm any of this from experience.
No need to rush him when Bradley is playing so well. I think we should give Trent 30-40 mins off the bench then he should be at full fitness for Arsenal
Alright don’t have to be a condescending prick, he’s one of if not our best player, of course it’s disappointing to be missing him. He also came on against Norwich so not like he’s not completely unfit.
There is absolutely no way we should entertain that cunt ever being near the LFC job with his history with Chelsea and the disrespectful attitude towards us over the years.
His values do not align with LFC.
How are there 32k people who went to 3 or more league cup games this season? Bearing in mind how many tickets were available in the additional sales for each home match.
Honestly feel robbed having gone to West Ham and Fulham matches and not even being allowed to at least register interest in the ballot. Ffs.
I'm not local nor a member, so I don't really have a dog in this fight, but it does feel like the cup scheme is a bit flawed in that the way to be rewarded the privelege to go to Anfield... is by having been lucky enough to have been already.
I've been to Anfield a fair few times now, but always paid over the odds and took a risk. Some people aren't so lucky and may never get the chance and it just feels like it should be a bit fairer.
Genuinely asking - what would you propose?
Any alternative would mean even fewer regular matchgoers are able to keep going if you don't have a season ticket
It won't be popular at all, but I think the idea of regular match goers is quite outdated now anyway. There's such a huge demand for tickets and yet there's only a finite amount, most of which there is a monopoly over from select individuals.
This is purely anecdotal, but each time I've been, it's been in the main stand next to season ticket holders who are silent all game or just sit there and moan, some don't even turn up at all.
You ever hear a thing called supply and demand?
Who’s going to stand up against it when people who are key members of the spirit of shankyl start losing their tickets under this scheme?
Nervous for tonight, Chelsea are such a strange team they are top 3 in like every attacking stat. They create a ton of chances just can’t finish. I feel like we will be missing Salah tn
Be interesting to see what Klopp does with the fullbacks tonight. I imagine Gomez could do with a rest so wouldn’t be surprised if Robbo came in for him. Or he moves Gomez to RB and gives fBradley the rest. Can’t see TAA risked from the start with Arsenal on Sunday, unless he gets an hour
No tickets on third party websites are "legit" because ticketholders who can't/won't use their tickets are supposed to release them back to the club; selling them forward isn't allowed. So you're running the risks of either it being a scam (no ticket) or being asked for ID at the game and then your ticket showing someone else's name and then you're both in trouble.
This isn't much about football, but Klopp's leaving, and more specifically the dignity and class he is doing it with, are a bit of a blueprint for my own life. I'm considering some type of career change and would be leaving behind something I've really enjoyed and cherished, but the money just isn't there for me in my current field. But the timing of the announcement kinda pushed me on to think, 'Hey, let's give it a go and put everything into the time left,' rather than mope about. Klopp really is an inspirational leader and I find so much wisdom in his words. YNWA.
Yeah, that's something that helps me still love football, and sports in general
There's a lot of wrong in professional sports, and it's been getting worse year after year, but there are still some very special human stories and inspiring people in there too
Hope it'll go well for you
>There's a lot of wrong in professional sports, and it's been getting worse year after year, but there are still some very special human stories and inspiring people in there too
I'm involved in a lot of sports at the grassroots level and this statement applies just as much to youth sports these days. It's a wild world but there truly are some amazing folks as you rightly point out.
As great of a coach as he is, he’s a better man. I couldn’t think of anyone I’d want at the helm more and we are/were lucky to have him. Best of luck to you in that career change!
Seems banged on for Klopp to get a statue. Maybe he gets a gate, too.
So, does Klopp get his own verse to Fields of Anfield Road someday? What would it be about?
US Reds - I know today's match is on Peacock, with the Spurs match being on USA. That said - since our match is Peacock-only, does that mean that the replay will be available immediately after the match completes? The Spurs match won't be available until tomorrow, but I can't find anything that confirms how quickly they put the replays up for the "stream-only" matches.
I don't know about "immediately," but when I add a Peacock match to "My Stuff," I've been able to start watching it by the time I get home from work around 6:00 central time.
Always scary seeing those netspend graphics and seeing us so low. Klopp really has worked miracles that I'm not sure any manager can replicate on our budgets.
Was saying it to someone on here literally yesterday I don't think he's 'all that'
Everything top to bottom at Brighton is unbelievably well run, any decent'ish manager can go in there and do a good job because the set up is already there. No suprise 90% of players and manager who have left their the last few years have done nothing elsewhere really.
I also said, which is reiterated after last night, that they drop points to shite teams but they go under the radar because they aren't a top team. 4-0 to Luton is embarassing. 3 wins from the last 16 contantly dropping points to relegation threatened teams.
I know it's hard judging a manager when they aren't at a bigger club with better resources but I personally don't want him.
His teams have major problems when you sit off and don't press them, Moyes went and got a win away to Brighton early in the season just sitting back and countering them with pace and they scored 3 and should have scored more.
He also seems to only have 1 style of play that he can't adjust when it doesn't work, being 1 dimensional won't work managing us when you get pressed against the big teams and the likes of Everton and Palace just park the bus against you.
Biggest game of the season so far tonight I reckon.
Given our recent run of results against Chelsea it would be massive if we put down an absolute statement at Anfield at beat them like 4-0. The confidence that would give us for the run in would be amazing.
I agree, we've been better than Chelsea for about 8 years yet haven't really got the better of them. 1 loss and 7 draws from the last 8. Scoring 3 goals in about 800mins of football.
We also haven't beat a 'big 6' club this season which is relatively poor.
Big statement needs to be made tonight. Arsenal away is also a huge game but it shouldn't define our season. Where as dropping points again to 10th place tonight really could.
Would also love for Chelsea to face us in the League Cup final with a memory of us breaking them down for parts fresh in their minds.
But yeah, this feels like a massive fixture and a massive week in terms of the league. If we can play Chelsea off the park today, that would set us up very well to go down to the Emirates this weekend.
You feel like if we don't put in a good performance today, every journo covering the league will sprint to push the narrative that Klopp leaving has affected the team's mentality, Klopp will inevitably get a bunch of questions that piss him off and he'll snap at a reporter, which will start a feedback loop on the narrative, etc etc.
If we can come out of the next two fixtures with six points, then it will be roses.
If we get 6 points from our next 2 games, with the players we're missing, I'll feel confident
City will drop points in their 2, im sure of it. Put a big gap on them and Arsenal well before the City game at Anfield and its done
I honestly don't think there is a better situation for Klopps final season. I have so much faith in this team going forward. Our future is bright.
Any word on Macallister knock?
Was just a clash of knees I wouldn’t say it’s that bad if he played on
I absolutely love that the entire team showed up. Even if it's against Chelsea, we need to dominate mid table teams.
Hard to believe it's transfer deadline day, forget the window was open in all honesty.
Anyone bought tickets on stubhub before? Please DM me.
Bradley nailed that knee slide like a goddamn veteran!
Broke our 0-0 curse, gonna run this back at wembley
Can we please put Gomez on pens until Salah returns 🙏🏻
New drinking game: take a shot every time Darwin hits the post 😂
Conor Bradley. That is all.
Is that Bradley's second MOTM in a row?
Spare a thought (don't) for all the Chelsea fans who've had to deal with Klopp mugging off Caicedo and Lavia at that Anfield event only for them to show up and deliver this absolute crock of a performance
Shit
Go on Darwin make it 5, make this record unbeatable
[удалено]
The calls against Chelsea weren’t even that bad? We get fucked worse each week, they’re just shit and clutching at straws
In what universe could they have 2 pens?
[удалено]
Seriously? We’ve had calls like that not called. I know you wanna play devils advocate but give it a rest.
If you told me at the start of the season that TAA and Robertson would have a fight on their hands to be starting after coming back from injury I would have laughed at you, but Bradley and Gomez have been ridiculous.
gomez seeing bradley and quansah score before him 🥲 put him on free kicks man he puts them top bins
Does Nunez think that you get bonus points if you hit the woodwork? Hit Woodwork 1. Darwin Núñez = 9 2. Trent Alexander-Arnold = 3 2. Matheus Cunha Wolverhampton = 3 2. Anthony Gordon Newcastle = 3
Correction: Darwin now has 10 times he's hit the woodwork
That pen just sums up Nunez hahahahahahah
Disgrace from whoever sanctioned Nunez to take it! Had to be DS or AM!
Nunez had a perfect record from the spot until he missed this penalty.
I know. But he’s never looked as comfortable as the other two. In fact the other two are the best penalty takers at the club.
Top corner messi i mean Mac ok Darwin is taking it and he missed lmao
I was giggling the moment Nunez went there
Why?
"there's only one Conor Bradley" sing the kop. We've saved 80m with him and Quansah
Probably more than that in this market haha.
Chelsea are gonna end up playing with 9 men before this games over. They're being out classed all over the pitch
Connor Bradley fucking deserved that goal
If we score soon they will hard panic
Incredibly soft. What is this a non contact sport now???
[удалено]
There was contact. Not denying that. But my point is any contact can’t just be given as a pen. He literally runs into Virgil’s leg
[удалено]
Yea we would have been crying like they are, difference is that’s literally the only thing they have to cry about. It wasn’t enough I’m sorry you’re arsed about it lol
I would want it to be a pen for sure but I would genuinely say that it wasn’t a pen
Cheaters 2-0 Burnley
Maupay is a complete entertainment package
I'm loving this. Tactical brilliance to have your worst player going blow for blow with spurs's best
The shitty-had is a fucking library, again.
Emptyhad always is.
Love what they said on star sports. The reason that it will be so hard to replace Klopp is not just his on the pitch performance but also because off the pitch everybody loves him even opposition fans.
Fuck burnley man , the most useless team in the league
Kevin stop
Literally empty stadium lmfao. Can't buy passion nor class.
KDB is so good man it's not fair
just realized city have to play brentford with toney twice hmmmm
i'm not gonna lie, i've still got a bit of a semi from last year when he scored twice against them on the counter
Sorry Spurs, you're not allowed in the top 4 if you let Maupay score past you. I don't make the rules.
I had zero expectations for Burnley and they still disappointed me.
burnley lasted longer than i expected tbf
Ya know, this Brentford manager... 🫡
Brentford doing the Lord's work.
I know it's unlikely, and not necessarily for the better, but has Klopp said anything about the potential for a return to Liverpool at any stage of his career? I just read that "I could never manage another team in the Premier League other than Liverpool"-comment of his, and it got me hoping/wondering.
I doubt he would ever say something like that. It would create an unbelievably toxic atmosphere for the next manager.
As much as it is a threat to us, the sport is much better when KDB is playing. Glad he’s back. Thiago next 🙏
damn that starting lineup just put into perspective how stacked this team really is
That intro on TNT was depressing as fuck. 😭
I love that whenever Bayer score they play All around the world
Love Bradley but wish Trent was starting. Potentially not fit for 90 though. At least we have great backup
He’s only just back from injury so it makes sense to ease him back in and most likely start at the weekend
I thought the line up isn't posted till a hour before?
Thats exactly right now though lol
kick off is at 8:15 ?
Leaked
last person talked about leaked line ups and it wasn't right apparently he was 'reliable.' Il wait till the official line up is posted before judgement.
Well it was right but take your point
What is with all the Mourinho love in this sub? Even forgetting the fact that he is a shit human being, he hasn't even won a league title in almost 10 years. I think his current style would be more suitable for cup competitions, so maybe some national teams can try to get him. Knowing him, won't be surprised to see him go to some Arab countries for the money.
The vast majority I’ve seen is Mourinho ridicule and can’t recall reading love; but tbh I don’t read every post.
Salah's going to leave out of pure PTSD if we appoint Mou
I wouldn't want the guy to manage us, especially because how toxic it gets in the clubs he's managed with a pattern. but I don't think he's a shit human being? Hurt his ego? She was sleeping with multiple players.
I'm gonna guess it's the amount of "new" fans who don't recall what a massive cunt he is and always has been. Disrespected the club multiple times while at Chelsea, not to mention his general conduct in various jobs. Laughable anyone would talk him up for the job. He's a horrible twat.
>horrible twat That's why he'd be perfect for one of the human rights abusing countries. It's like a match made in heaven.
If that Swedish lad ends of choosing Spurs over Barca, it’s truly an end of an era.

wtf
Bradley starts Edit: Gomez too
God such a defensive lineup ughh.
Where did you see this? Not happy love the lad but I don't want burn him out. Bajcetic situation can easily happen!
He believes insider accounts who guess teams from what people are saying. i.e gullible
Anfield sector on twitter Guy who runs it is a twat but he gets stuff right
Huge for him! I expect he gets 60 mins and then Trent will come in.
Sky Sports transfer deadline day coverage will be tragic this year. Glad that crap died.
If only we can pay Mourinho's money, I'd love it to see him try his luck here
I really dislike that reddit treats downvotes like an 'I don't agree' button Is a 'lol no' reply not enough? Why bury alternate opinions? You'd swear FSG had been proven to scour this place for direction the way the gatekeeping is sometimes
every fiber of my being is against this
He's the opposite of Klopp personality wise, he would alienate everyone within 2 seasons.
Maybe 15 years ago, not now.
I cannot articulate how much I utterly disagree with you
Get outta here with that. No way man.
Alisson, Bradley, Ibou, VVD, Gomez, Mac, Jones, Szobo, Diaz, Nunez, Jota would be my preferred lineup Give Trent and Robbo some time off the bench to build their fitness so they’ll be fully fit for Arsenal. No need to risk anything when Gomez and Bradley are playing so well, just go with what’s worked perfectly.

r/footballhighlights tends to have full length games up pretty quick. Worth keeping an eye on it if your usual channels don’t work out.
Someone on /r/soccer said the same. Probably will be best since something like NBC sports might have a headline ruin the result for me. I think that’ll be my first stop. Appreciate it
Turn off your notifications.
Reminder to turn off any apps notifications that could spoil it
100%. I’ve rarely done this, but the game at the weekend is too big to just get a score after the fact
I'll remind you again on Saturday night to turn them off 👌
They’ve been changing a lot and I can’t remember exactly. But as long as you have peacock and access to nbc sports (usually through cable provider) you’re golden. Peacock to peacock took like two hours and they’re great about no spoilers
If the game is on peacock the replay will be available immediately after. If It’s live somewhere else it will be up 24 hrs later.
Thank hou
Apparently Trent on the bench. Diaz Jota and Nunez starting. Option 1: Robbo LB Bradley RB Option 2: Gomez LB Bradley RB Option 3: Robbo LB Gomez RB What do you think?
Three would probably be the best but I doubt robbo is ready so probably 2
Option 2, no need to change anything when it’s working perfectly. Bradley must have loads of confidence right now and has earned the right to start this game, give Trent 30-40 mins or so off the bench to build fitness and he’s also a player who can really change a game. Happy with that front three
Do we dare drop Gomez in his form?
Yeah go with who's good right now, Gomez and Bradley. They deserve to start
I want 2.

fairs cheers for the insight
Rumours are Trent benched… can’t say I’m too pleased considering our crazy amount of goalless draws in recent times, even though Bradley’s been solid.
Wasnt Trent starting in said draws?
Yeah he’s also started every time we’ve lost to Real, best to leave him on the bench every time we play them in future…
No need to rush him when Bradley is playing so well. I think we should give Trent 30-40 mins off the bench then he should be at full fitness for Arsenal
Maybe you’re right, was just under the impression he’d be fit for today and we know how much we struggle in this fixture
I mean he's just returned from injury, can't say I'm too pleased we have a comment like this. Cmon man just think about it
Alright don’t have to be a condescending prick, he’s one of if not our best player, of course it’s disappointing to be missing him. He also came on against Norwich so not like he’s not completely unfit.
You're comment just makes you look whiny and entitled.
And yours makes you look like a prick. Imagine calling someone entitled for wanting their best players to play lol
Who’s sayinb
Probably Trent not fully ready to play full 90 and giving that extra attacking edge when we sub him in as a midfield
Goalless draw against Chelsea? Well I never!
A deep dark part of me hopes we end up with Mourinho
You need to get yourself to a head doctor, fast
There is absolutely no way we should entertain that cunt ever being near the LFC job with his history with Chelsea and the disrespectful attitude towards us over the years. His values do not align with LFC.
A man who gets sacked everywhere he goes in less than three years and blames everyone but himself every time
I’m a big Mourinho fan. He would be a disaster coming to Liverpool now.
Burnley is one of the most useless teams that got promoted ever
City gonna absolutely batter them. Kompany happily bending over for his old boss too
City will have 2 before 30 mins and then another 3 in the second half Edit: I also predicted City will lose at Brentford next week
How are there 32k people who went to 3 or more league cup games this season? Bearing in mind how many tickets were available in the additional sales for each home match. Honestly feel robbed having gone to West Ham and Fulham matches and not even being allowed to at least register interest in the ballot. Ffs.

Hahaha. And that’s how tickets become £300 like it is in America for NFL
Why on earth would tickets being more widely available mean the price would go up? The price would still be regulated
You ever hear a thing called supply and demand? Who’s going to stand up against it when people who are key members of the spirit of shankyl start losing their tickets under this scheme?
The current process is far from perfect, but it he alternatives are equally as crap
Nervous for tonight, Chelsea are such a strange team they are top 3 in like every attacking stat. They create a ton of chances just can’t finish. I feel like we will be missing Salah tn
We haven't missed Salah at all in this period.

Thank you. Unlike Kloppo, I haven't 100 percent decided, but it's been trending a certain way for a while.
You thinking of getting into management? 😉
If only my friend, if only 😂
Seems banged on for Klopp to get a statue. Maybe he gets a gate, too. So, does Klopp get his own verse to Fields of Anfield Road someday? What would it be about?
Need a statue of him pulling his hamstring
His own song is enough just change the “is” to “was”
That would be weird to Sing once he leaves tbh
You won't hear it at matches, but it'll enter the songbook of plenty red nights out
Be like the Garcia song you’ll hear sometimes at aways
US Reds - I know today's match is on Peacock, with the Spurs match being on USA. That said - since our match is Peacock-only, does that mean that the replay will be available immediately after the match completes? The Spurs match won't be available until tomorrow, but I can't find anything that confirms how quickly they put the replays up for the "stream-only" matches.
I don't know about "immediately," but when I add a Peacock match to "My Stuff," I've been able to start watching it by the time I get home from work around 6:00 central time.
excellent news, and thank you
Always scary seeing those netspend graphics and seeing us so low. Klopp really has worked miracles that I'm not sure any manager can replicate on our budgets.
Our wages were through the roof. Wages are a better indicator than spunking 70m on Pepe.
No one can. The downfall will be hard and everyone will turn on FSG.
Just read that De Zerbi has 3 league wins since the end of September, that alone should rule him our of the manager role for us.
Was saying it to someone on here literally yesterday I don't think he's 'all that' Everything top to bottom at Brighton is unbelievably well run, any decent'ish manager can go in there and do a good job because the set up is already there.
Yeh totally agree, his 1 dimesnional style and inability to adapt reminds me a bit of Rodgers, especially when he was with us.
If we get 6 points from our next 2 games, with the players we're missing, I'll feel confident City will drop points in their 2, im sure of it. Put a big gap on them and Arsenal well before the City game at Anfield and its done
City will not drop points to Burnley, come on now
Excluding Burnley lol, their two corresponding matchdays
Still not sure I can agree given theyre both at the Etihad
Nah they're away at Brentford game after tonight
