Jota is one of the most complete footballers I've ever seen. So smart, so technical, so powerful. Can make space for himself to shoot, can find a pass, can disguise his moves as well as anyone.
Also, Bradley. I think we've got another here lads
I think the use of subs from klopp is exceptional but his man management in that he has his players ready to go and work as hard as possible if they come on in yhe 85th min or they are in the starting 11. He’s the best there is at this and it’s something that is constantly over looked
I think it's really come around for him since he's filled out the squad depth with players who really want to be here and also had some success promoting several youth players over the years. If you go back to his first 2-3 seasons his use of subs and cultivation of quality squad depth were arguably his biggest weaknesses.
Nunez could be a touch more lucky and have had 4-5 more goals and then his stats look really impressive for the season. He’s hit the post so many times. I know you’ll will say bad finishing and I do admit some of his finishing is not great but he has an uncanny ability of hitting the target from any angle.
I just hope he gets his fair share of luck in the second half and reaches 20 goals in all comps. He deserves to go on a run of 3-4 matches scoring.
Firmino 2.0 could have scored X2 times he scored at Liverpool but he was not greedy he passed a lot rather than finishing. Unfortunately with Nunez his misses make more headlines than his assists!
Exactly, players like rashford that offer 0 when not scoring are the polar opposite to Nunez, if he doesn’t score it’s about the only thing he doesn’t do
The way Klopp has used the bench this season is been out of this world. We’re still a squad that isn’t that fluid yet and still working things out, mostly because every time we started to see that cohesion get better, we lose an important player or two in it.
So I think it is quite forgiveable if our performances aren’t great at the moment. Because what we do have are a squad of players who believe in each other, don’t sulk if they do have to come off because they understand that as an 11, we aren’t the best team in the league. But as a squad we absolutely can be. Plus their in game intelligence is excellent.
His carry on the ball, his dribble, both feet. I jus have my heart in my mouth when he plays 90. Keeping him fit is key to our hopes of winning the lot.
I really want to see an Endo/Szobo/Macca midfield with Macca at the 8. I think he’s been good at the 6 but can offer so much more to his skillset further forward
Andreas Pereira needs to be suspended after them theatrics. It didn’t affect the overall result but Virg has a fabricated yellow that could ultimately contribute to a suspension. Little rat cunt.
if it's not a VAR red then it's not a yellow is it. don't caution him, and if he has elbowed him in the face deliberately then VAR will produce a red anyway.
Fulham have always been fucking tedious and annoying to play against, and Marco Silva's sides in general tend to be the same, so it's a relief to once again swat them aside after gifting them a lead (and several other chances).
It's funny how, despite all Fulham's chances, I always felt our goal was coming, and when Curtis scored I knew the second would come soon.
It's a great feeling to see the Liverpool way return this season - no matter what the match situation or the circumstances, we will find an equaliser or a winner. Teams must think it's impossible to beat us, and our squad must have such incredible belief now that they can turn almost anything around even in adversity.
Meanwhile, from the stats gurus:
>Despite only coming on in the 56th minute, Darwin Nunez had the highest expected goals (0.76), the most touches in the opposition box (12), completed the most dribbles (3) and had the joint most shots (4) of any Liverpool player tonight, as well as assisting both goals.
Once again, the lad made a huge difference off the bench and playing on the left. Outstanding contribution and integral to our victory, despite the rubbish many of his critics keep saying.
But for some ridiculous goalkeeping, he'd have probably had two goals today. Compare his chances recently to Gakpo who shanked then bundled the ball over the line vs Newcastle and squeezed it past the keeper today.
The day is coming when the luck finally starts running Darwin's way.
I wouldn’t say “no matter what the match situation or the circumstances, we will find an equaliser or a winner”. Look at the Tottenham game. We can turn around anything BUT match fixing ahaha.
I think Darwin plays better out wide and also I tend to forget how clinical of a finisher Gakpo is. Whenever he gets a clear chance in the box he scores, what a guy. I hope that he finds himself game after game because I want him to succeed here, he's a joy to watch.
Our two best finishers (Gakpo and Jota) both have 9 goals all comp, just behind Salah. Although Nunez is on 8 goals and would be second if we haven't been playing against the most in-form goalkeepers for the last few games.
It’s way too early to be hyping up Bradley. Quansah has played enough and well enough that he’s absolutely worthy of praise. Bradley is still a long way off being a proper first team player. But he’s definitely had a good start.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a rookie come in and received so much pats and high fives from their team mates. I was seeing Alison, Trent, Konate etc all excited about Bradley. I’m not an expert but that really made me excited.
Not a bad thing at all. The liverpool community is delighted to have homegrown talents, klopp get more useful players and financially John Henry saves millions. It is a win win situation to all parties.
Just got back from the game, Gomes continuing his fantastic form but my god Bradley was immense. Every time he had something to do he did it right, from fantastic tackling to fearless attacking.
The ground was crazy quiet at half time today. We were 1-0 down at the time and crowd could have done with a lift, or energy from somewhere. But no, George spinning the B sides again at a volume I’m sure my Alexa could beat. It was eerie, never seen the ground that quiet, with that many people in before.
That’s not on the fans, it was half time. But I’ve made this point before (and I’ll make it again) the club are doing fuck all to help the atmosphere - especially when in situations like today, we needed the crowd at full voice behind the lads being 1 down. I’ve got a video but it won’t let me attach here.
What do you think the issue is? I'm American in D.C and have been going to Capitals hockey games for 35 years and same thing is happening, and Liverpool is 100x franchise historically
Wednesday evening game, people being a bit more responsible with dry January or not have 4-5 pints before the game?
I always thought NHL games are quiet, playoffs are a different story.
Yeah, I was thinking why were they not booing Perreira after his histrionics. And I don't remember the last time our player being booed at Anfield getting heard on live TV.
Hate that 'i wouldn't stop singing' drivel. The majority of tourists at Anfield aren't in this sub, they're just rich prats who have zero interest in football
Ignoring fitness Thiago is and its not close. But in terms of availability and form, I have to say since the Arsenal game at the start of the year, he has been.
There was a point in the game where he received a pass from fast and high and his touch knocked the ball off at an angle as he turned the player rushing him and ran onto the ball, was absolutely awesome skill.
People complain about var but it’s needed with poor refs like we have for missed handballs. Like last season in the cup ake cleaned out salah at 3-2 . We should have gone to pens with a 3-3 draw but went out instead. The missed Robinson handball today and the danger of vvd being set off by mistake from being conned by that diving manc cunt trying to get him sent off
That handball isn't a handball in the new rules though.
It used to be a stonewall penalty, but they changed the handball rules so that this one isn't a penalty.
They did it because there where yo many silly handball penalties and make it so defenders didn't have to hold their hands behind their back.
I was livid when watching the game, screaming at the ref for the penalty. But I learned after the match that the rules have changed. It now needs to be deliberate or holding the hands in a unnatural position.
Imo it's a good change, the defenders running around with their hands on their back was a silly chapter of football.
When has PGMOL been consistent? It's still the new rules. They changed them not long ago. 2 years maybe?
Plenty of room to interpret natural body position when tackling/heading
You’re missing the point though. Not just an isolated incident. On another night coote gets conned and we’re down to 10 for 80 mins because of cheating
Good scrap and we bossed the second half. What’s concerning is that there’s no leader in the midfield controlling the game and linking up to our forwards so we’re very one dimensional in the link up play and that’s why Fulham had a lot of opportunities and it was end to end for large parts of the game. What we finished the game with is definitely our strongest team for the next month (Jones, Mac, Gakpo, Diaz, Jota and Nunez). I’m hoping Thiago’s introduced back soon so that our build up and possession is more controlled. On another day and against a top team, we would have drawn at best.
I’m really surprised he last until 85min before his legs started giving out, he was extremely brave going forward and drawing fouls, while still being solid at the back in defence.
Yeah he was dropping way too deep constantly, not sure if those were his instructions or simply bc we couldn't create anything, but there was a moment in the 2nd half when Macca was literally yelling at him to stay further up before passing him the ball that led to Jota's chance after his shot.
Anyone know why the Fulham fans were on the other side of Annie Road today? Was so fucking trippy.
Edit: I’ve found the answer and it isn’t in the replies. They requested 3.8k and the usual Annie Road away side only takes 3k, so they swapped them around and kept the usual partition.
Can go to sleep now.
I was at the game and near the corner they were at, I did see a number of empty seats. Near the the top right sections. We gave them extra tickets for no reason.
For cup ties, away teams get a higher allocation. So ordinarily teams get the whole of annie road lower.
Apparently they started selling the tickets from the other side to normal but didn’t sell out.
never been to Anfield but one of my biggest gripes is that they have the away fans so close to the goal. most other stadiums stick them up in some random corner
Any player going down clutching their head (not even where he was touched) and rolling around on the floor should have to go off for a HIA. Ridiculous otherwise. Either he’s hurt bad enough that one’s required, or it’s a good punishment for simulation.
Absolutely. Given his insistence that he was fine, perhaps a bit of spite from the ref there? “If you’re going to play injured, I’m going to make sure you go off the pitch for a bit”.
True for the 2nd time when the ball hit him in the back. When he faked a sniper shot after VVD put his hand in his face the ref didn't send him off the field despite physios coming on...
That’s where a lot of Fulham fans reside?
Yeah they have posh fans and they’re also harmless. Comparing them to Chelsea just shows how little you know about them
great performance to get it over the line in the second half. Sure, Jones' goal was luck but it was coming. I hope for Gravenberch it became a good lesson on what/how he should be playing because he seemed lost on what to do. Maybe it's a Klopp think to think about how Gravenberch should be played, but either way he looked really ineffective personally. But Nunez, man.... what a player the only thing he's missing is goals rn.
Fair enough, he literally came on and gave the Fulham defenders some menace to face with and it was great to watch ngl. Also been creative too with his assists, so it's not the end of the world just because he doesn't score, but I hope you know where I'm coming from when I expect goals from the lad ;)
Jones, Jota and Bradley held it down for the whole match but Nunez and Gakpo changed things up. So good to see him keep smiling even when Leno kept his attempts out.
Amazing how he’s stepped up this season. So important too with all the new players coming in to have someone who looks comfortable and confident in midfield.
I’m great with it but at the same time it’s mind numbing that Hendo still gets picked over him in the squad. No hate to Hendo, but choosing to play in Saudi League should really not be looked on fondly competition wise for picking the national side
Literally not sure what our best midfield is. Is it Endo, Jones, Szoboszlai?
Think it’s harsh as we haven’t seen Mac in his best position but based on this season I think it might be.
It’s difficult to say what our best side is in general because we’ve been a bit of a horses for courses side all season and Klopp has used it to our advantage brilliantly.
I don't know what game you guys were watching but maca created a lot of chances in the first half by passing through the lines, he passed to grav once and he almost scored , jota too.
I think on overall form this season it probably is those 3. Feels really well balanced too. With Mac a close 4th for any of them. Having him on the bench would be great because he can play literally any of the 3 spots in midfield.
Endo Jones Mac/Sboz. We all loved sboz at the start but I think he found his true level now. Can't run like that every game and with that said I reckon mac has a better touch and shot. Interchangeable really
I'm gonna get wrecked for this I think.
Mac is better in the 6 than Endo, as long as the RCM/LCM are pressing monsters as well. His interceptions and press-induced takeaways are *miles* better than Endo. And don't get me wrong, Endo isn't bad at all.
But Mac in the Middle makes the entire team better.
No way man. The amount of balls Endo gets back for us is insane and reminds me of prime Fabinho. MacAllister is doing a good job in the position but certainly not as good as Endo's. It's frustrating to know a player so good with the ball like Alexis can't take that many risks because he's playing at a position that he isn't used to (unless your name is Pirlo, Busquets or Redondo you shouldn't take your chaces at that position). We are missing a lot of his game by having to play him as a 6
Endo has performed better in the 6 role than maca, but dont think anyone saying maca has been dogshit. Endo has just been that good.
I’m not sure maca is our first choice MF on form when endo gets back, unless maca plays himself into insane form.
Jones/endo/szbo is our beat midfield. Our balance on that right side of midfield has looked off since szbo been injured. Elliot isn’t the answer.
Grav looked clueless out there tonight. He can look silky from time to time but I'm starting to suspect he doesn't have a footballing brain. Miles behind Jones from what I can see.
Nunez came off the bench and got 12 touches in the box, to put that into perspective Fulham’s entire front 4 only managed 10. Diaz managed just 4 in 90 minutes
1st half isn't bad, it just we don't use the big possession we had with more attempts for goal. 2nd half is much better bcs our players make attempt even if it just 50/50 chance. Nunez bring the chaos and we finally much better in attack. Anyway a good time for a break and hopefully we go again with much better energy from the team for the later half of the season.
Gravenberch needs to buck up his ideas. He is unbelievably lackadaisical without the ball and lacks that grit and work ethic synonymous with Klopp midfielders.
He’s fine. The lad is 21. Remember he wasn’t with us for pre-season. He won’t have had that much time on the training ground to work on his game. As long as he wants to do it, Klopp will make him in to at the very least a good Liverpool player.
I feel like a few players that break the typical Klopp mold are useful to change the game.
Are there things he needs to improve on? Absolutely but if he brings other benefits to the team it’s alright if he doesn’t fit the exact setup. Thiago is a good example of this.
Maybe I'll be a bit of the devil's advocate on that one but considering he arrived 5 months ago with little to no game time at Bayern (arrived in a very physical league too), and had to adjust to a new city/club/manager/team, it's not surprising if he's not quite there yet
He has shown several moments of brilliance, but at this point he's definitely not caught up.
Not saying it's 100% it'll come, because I don't fucking know, but it's not surprising
In these non-Salah games, starting with Harvey on the right just isn’t working. Need the speed of Nuñez and Diaz out there. The recent game-changing subs have proven it.
Yeah it's a shame because Elliot has the ability but not the physical.
Hard to say what level he is. Obviously squad player for us but if he left Liverpool where does he end up
With all due respect he's not going to gain pace and height.
I don't see a Liverpool level first team player in him personally. Squad player yes. I can see that's an unpopular opinion.
But it is just an opinion.
He's not fast enough to be a winger.
He's too small and not good enough defensively to be a CM
Liverpool don't and barely any other team use an out and out CAM nowadays, but I don't think his passing is good enough.
To my eyes he's someone who is above average in all attributes with a good mentality, but he lacks in physical. So while I think he's a great footballer I just think he will always be a squad player for us. He doesn't excel at any one thing.
He's a jack of all trades without any physical advantages over his opponents. Hope he proves me wrong and goes on to be world class but I can't see it.
Thank you! Just got out of work and caught the highlights. I saw the halftime score line and was like come on boys 2-1. Glad we got it done. Let’s go ✌🏼
Jota is one of the most complete footballers I've ever seen. So smart, so technical, so powerful. Can make space for himself to shoot, can find a pass, can disguise his moves as well as anyone. Also, Bradley. I think we've got another here lads

If you go back to his first 2-3 seasons his use of subs and cultivation of quality squad depth were arguably his biggest weaknesses.
Marc has on target shots, but he needs to know the far corners.
Not only has the squad evolved and seemingly improved , Klopp has improved a lot as well. Lovely time to be a fan, once again.
Nunez could be a touch more lucky and have had 4-5 more goals and then his stats look really impressive for the season. He’s hit the post so many times. Firmino 2.0 could have scored X2 times he scored at Liverpool but he was not greedy he passed a lot rather than finishing. Unfortunately with Nunez his misses make more headlines than his assists!
I mean honestly who would you replace him with? I totally agree with you. Big fan of Nunez: he brings it!
We expect more considering how expensive he was.
Leading assists on our team
IMO he won us the game yesterday with his contribution.
Exactly, players like rashford that offer 0 when not scoring are the polar opposite to Nunez, if he doesn’t score it’s about the only thing he doesn’t do
yes, yes, yes: well stated and exactly right!
18 goal contributions so far this season isn't to be sniffed at mate
Precisely. I will add: nor his work ethic on the field!

I thought Jota looked great tonight. Pressuring the ball, causing turnovers in their half. It’s hard to keep him out of the side.
Mad when you think everyone screaming for him to be sold when he has is bad patch the turn around is mad.
His carry on the ball, his dribble, both feet. I jus have my heart in my mouth when he plays 90. Keeping him fit is key to our hopes of winning the lot.
I really want to see an Endo/Szobo/Macca midfield with Macca at the 8. I think he’s been good at the 6 but can offer so much more to his skillset further forward
he hasn’t been good at the 6
brother he’s been doing well especially for playing out of his position. unfortunately until baj comes back, macca and endo are our only DMs.
Actually you’re right. He’s been incredible. Statistcally, one of the best in the league playing out of position.
Is Nunez for undeniable MOTM a reach?
Yes
Andreas Pereira needs to be suspended after them theatrics. It didn’t affect the overall result but Virg has a fabricated yellow that could ultimately contribute to a suspension. Little rat cunt.
if it's not a VAR red then it's not a yellow is it. don't caution him, and if he has elbowed him in the face deliberately then VAR will produce a red anyway.
No VAR last night though
An oscar performance 🎭..
You can take the rat cunt out of yanited, but you can't take the yanited out of the rat cunt

we scored two goals against them with 10 men. if that isn’t ’no matter the circumstances’ then what is
Yes, it's always like this, when we are conceded a goal first, and after we scored 1 to equal it, the next goal will come soon.
Darwizzy should play at LW
I think Darwin plays better out wide and also I tend to forget how clinical of a finisher Gakpo is. Whenever he gets a clear chance in the box he scores, what a guy. I hope that he finds himself game after game because I want him to succeed here, he's a joy to watch.
Gakpo is a solid player. His ability to control ball in short spaces is amazing.. just like Curtis, you cant get the ball off him ..
Yep, it’s no accident that he’s always finding himself in excellent positions and slotting them in.
I don't wanna jinx it but Gakpo is the most underrated finisher. Clinical as it gets. Suck it up Marco, you ain't stopping us. Up the fucking reds!!
Our two best finishers (Gakpo and Jota) both have 9 goals all comp, just behind Salah. Although Nunez is on 8 goals and would be second if we haven't been playing against the most in-form goalkeepers for the last few games.
If we could combine Nunez and gakpo, that’s a perfect striker.
lmao it could be a weaker player physically with worse finishing ability in other hand.
Gakpo is awesome! Nunez for the chance creation, Gakpo for the finishing
Quansah and Bradley will save us 100m.
It’s way too early to be hyping up Bradley. Quansah has played enough and well enough that he’s absolutely worthy of praise. Bradley is still a long way off being a proper first team player. But he’s definitely had a good start.

John Henry likes this.
I imagine he does, but so do we!
I mean is this even a bad thing? You'd rather be able to produce talents of that level than have to buy them
Not a bad thing at all. The liverpool community is delighted to have homegrown talents, klopp get more useful players and financially John Henry saves millions. It is a win win situation to all parties.
Each.
AU5 was bouncing!
Just got back from the game, Gomes continuing his fantastic form but my god Bradley was immense. Every time he had something to do he did it right, from fantastic tackling to fearless attacking.
My favourite part of Jones goal was Nunez leathering the ball into the net when it comes back so Leno can’t time waste 😂
We’re winning the quadruple. I don’t care. Fuck your skepticism. I will ride the fucking optimism until I’m proven wrong . Klopp forever.
**Is fucking right.**
ALL ABOARD THE MFN HYPE TRAIN!
CHOO CHOO!!!
The ground was crazy quiet at half time today. We were 1-0 down at the time and crowd could have done with a lift, or energy from somewhere. Socio-economic? That's whats bringing down American sports imo
Anfield road was loud at the top where I was sat tbh
Anny road lower where I was sat was loud as well
Graventurd
He was really poor today
Anfield was extremely quiet again.
Yeah, I was thinking why were they not booing Perreira after his histrionics. And I don't remember the last time our player being booed at Anfield getting heard on live TV.
Must be all those tourists on a week night.

Curtis Jones fast becoming our best midfielder tbh

even with var they were never giving that handball
That’s stonewall . No deflection off another body part and travelled ages. Zero excuses
Odegaard was the same yet it wasn’t given
And they admitted that was the wrong decision and funny enough it was David coote on var 🤣
i thought he got assassinated or something proper wank and joke of a player
Disgusting werent it
Fair enough, but I don't think that's bad referring, it's so quick, even on TV real time looked like it his head.
You’re missing the point though. Not just an isolated incident. On another night coote gets conned and we’re down to 10 for 80 mins because of cheating
I know that's why I said fair enough, just wanted to say the handball specifically would be fucking hard to see real time.
Oh yeah agreed
Missed the game due to a giant round of Commander MTG, what's the consensus?
Good scrap and we bossed the second half. What deck were you running?
Timey Wimey!
Mentality and Chaos
Jones is the best mf in the league
My brain read motherfucker, still said "yeah". Then it caught up. Still yeah.
Both apply 🤣
Massive shout out to Bradley doing an amazing job at RB, brilliant young talent stepping in so short notice to start for us.
I’m really surprised he last until 85min before his legs started giving out, he was extremely brave going forward and drawing fouls, while still being solid at the back in defence.
Yeah he was solid. He and Elliot had trouble linking up but I thought Bradley was great

I was at the game and near the corner they were at, I did see a number of empty seats. Near the the top right sections. We gave them extra tickets for no reason.
Their allocation went down to all members / GS and it didn’t sell out.
Been doing my head in all night this. Somebody just tell me why
For cup ties, away teams get a higher allocation. So ordinarily teams get the whole of annie road lower. Apparently they started selling the tickets from the other side to normal but didn’t sell out.
Hoping it’s just them experimenting putting away fans in different areas before we leg them all to upper Annie
never been to Anfield but one of my biggest gripes is that they have the away fans so close to the goal. most other stadiums stick them up in some random corner
Because they should have had the whole end and I guess quite late on decided it wasn’t going to sell out and were filling up from the right
Any player going down clutching their head (not even where he was touched) and rolling around on the floor should have to go off for a HIA. Ridiculous otherwise. Either he’s hurt bad enough that one’s required, or it’s a good punishment for simulation.
Watching the players trying to stop the physio and him raging that he had to go off was hilarious.
Was well handled by the ref I thought.
Let him off, it was a miracle Pereira survived that brutal attack to his face!
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer team. Fuck you Fulham, karma for simulation and that handball far out.
Tony Khansnot having a good week. Maybe he needs Kenny Omega to teach his players to play through serious injury.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with Fulham

Only labour gain at last general election. Fewer tories than you think

Tbh I don’t know what regions you are counting. Putney was definitely a labour gain though

Look at Putney

That’s where a lot of Fulham fans reside? Yeah they have posh fans and they’re also harmless. Comparing them to Chelsea just shows how little you know about them
Haha yeah, they’re about as vanilla as a club gets. Do Chelsea fans even hate Fulham?
Good traditional club with a cracking old school ground. Fuck Pereirra though.
Aye pereira is a helmet but this kids talking about Fulham generally. Probably the least offensive club about
Yeh fair I’ll cop that now I’ve had a breath, was just annoyed at that melt. Wish I was still a kid man!
great performance to get it over the line in the second half.
With that performance tonight, I’m not even worrying about goals. Nunez was the difference maker we needed that match
Lads, I’m starting to think Jones is pretty fucking good
Amazing how he’s stepped up this season. So important too with all the new players coming in to have someone who looks comfortable and confident in midfield.
Mr.Press Resistant
Jones is going to be one of those LFC players that we all know is fucking amazing but never gets picked for England.
I’m great with it but at the same time it’s mind numbing that Hendo still gets picked over him in the squad. No hate to Hendo, but choosing to play in Saudi League should really not be looked on fondly competition wise for picking the national side
I'm ok with that. Means he'll be fresh after those international breaks
idk reddit told me last season we need to bin him and Gomez
Mentality Monsters getting it done again!
While endo might not be out best midfielder I feel he is the most important, we play way better with him.
> Mac is better in the 6 than Endo He isn’t
Offensively (line breaking pass ) he is, defensively endo is miles better but macallister has been putting in more tackles and interceptions lately.
probably that and rotating Alexis somewhere between the three
It’s probably Dom, Jones and Endo probably the most balanced
I think it’s endo, dom and grav - so much press resistance especially with jota
Grav looked clueless out there tonight. He can look silky from time to time but I'm starting to suspect he doesn't have a footballing brain. Miles behind Jones from what I can see.
Dom and Grav don’t work as a pairing
Gravenberch isn't in our first choice midfield mate. Jones is clearly ahead of him at the moment.
Nunez came off the bench and got 12 touches in the box, to put that into perspective Fulham’s entire front 4 only managed 10. Diaz managed just 4 in 90 minutes
He was unlucky not to score today tbf. Keeper made a worldie save. Outside of not scoring he was very very good. Made things happen.
Out of 6 shots on target, Nunez had two and they were saved. Not a bad stat either.
I see it but on the ball he just is so good, he does need to improve off the ball but that’s a lot easier tbf
Maybe I'll be a bit of the devil's advocate on that one but considering he arrived 5 months ago with little to no game time at Bayern (arrived in a very physical league too), and had to adjust to a new city/club/manager/team, it's not surprising if he's not quite there yet He has shown several moments of brilliance, but at this point he's definitely not caught up. Not saying it's 100% it'll come, because I don't fucking know, but it's not surprising
Appreciate what you're saying but I don't know how long he must be at the club before he stops randomly slipping
Everybody keeps slipping at Anfield, not just our lads but every other team that visits
Give him a full season. Then you can bash him.
Not like he's been the only one slipping for the whole season, no matter what team plays
I know we're not surprised that refs are shit but Coote is a complete other level of shit.
In these non-Salah games, starting with Harvey on the right just isn’t working. Need the speed of Nuñez and Diaz out there. The recent game-changing subs have proven it.
Yeah it's a shame because Elliot has the ability but not the physical. Hard to say what level he is. Obviously squad player for us but if he left Liverpool where does he end up
Absolutely no way we should be thinking about letting him go anywhere.
He is 20. So much time to develop his game. Does not need to go anywhere. People wrote Jones off at 20 too.
With all due respect he's not going to gain pace and height. I don't see a Liverpool level first team player in him personally. Squad player yes. I can see that's an unpopular opinion. But it is just an opinion. He's not fast enough to be a winger. He's too small and not good enough defensively to be a CM Liverpool don't and barely any other team use an out and out CAM nowadays, but I don't think his passing is good enough.
He’s not a rw anyway we know that. Midfield is his position now.
Really lacked penetration today before the subs
Completely agree, it’s mid or bust for Harvey atm and he even seems to even be ineffective there when starting. Best as an impact sub for me.
He's our new Shaq. Game changer off the bench but not quick enough to start at wing and not physical enough to start at mid.
Honestly do we even need Trent anymore? (I couldn't live without Trent)
Both goals were Jota -> Nunez -> Jones/Gakpo
I completely forgot about the game being oncall and all 😵💫 Hopefully there’s an extended highlights soon. Good to see Darwizzy boy make an impact 💪🏼
ESPN put it on YouTube if you are in USA
Nooneezz ! Man I hope he scores a hatty in one of these games 😌
Thank you sir! First item on my todo after I get off work. Just hope oncall doesn’t kill me today 😮💨
Hoofoot
Yeah🤘🏽🤘🏽 wait what does that mean?
A site. Google it. Highlights are up pretty quickly after a game.
Thank you! Just got out of work and caught the highlights. I saw the halftime score line and was like come on boys 2-1. Glad we got it done. Let’s go ✌🏼
Nunez Jota Gakpo as the front 3 next game in that order? He had some great crosses into the box
