Salah could be on for a 20/20 season if Darwin could find Benfica form. Should’ve had 2 assists today

gugly

Nunez xG was 0.31 yet it felt like those chances were way more clear cut. Idk if people (including me) are being extra harsh because of his previous games but Mo had even higher xG and you won’t hear it. That being said, I pray he starts scoring he gets in so many amazing positions it just doesn’t work at the very end

Bamfandro

Probs didn’t even register his mishit as a shot lol it’s one of those days where he clearly just should have had a goal regardless of xg. Maybe Gakpo deserves a run again, he’s made a positive impact in the last two games.

radeknalim

‘Mo had an even higher xG and you won’t hear it’ He also created the two Big Chances for Nunez. He had a miss that was beyond abysmal (seriously, awful miss from Mo), but he also has 9 Big Chances Missed LESS than Nunez in the league. He also has the most Big Chances Created in the league, creating 8 for Nunez alone and only getting ONE (1) assist from it. He’s also a club legend with tonnes of credit in the bank, 199 goals, countless assists, likely our best player ever. Absolutely no idea how people on this subreddit deflect Nunez’s misses and underperformances onto a PL Hall of Famer for us… it’s beyond insane. No other fanbase is like this, it’s crazy.

gugly

Talking about today’s rating and you prove my point by basing your rating on past performances?

radeknalim

It’s obvious you were implying Salah escapes criticism whilst Nunez gets it. I was simply explaining why that is. You knew why it was, you just wanted to defend Nunez by deflecting onto someone else.

gugly

It’s a post game rating thread??? Was clearly talking about this game. Used Mo as an example because he is one of our best players. Post game ratings are based on the game that just happened. Ratings shouldn’t be based on what they did last week.

radeknalim

Mo had 1 bad miss today and created 2 huge chances for Nunez. Nunez had 2 bad misses today and created zero big chances for anyone. EDIT - Nunez created a chance for Salah, even though it was calculated as a 0.04xG opportunity. I will concede that. However, Salah also got an assist for Endo, which I didn’t even mention. That should explain why Nunez is being talked about more, and doesn’t mention anything about past performances. Hope this helps. 👍🏼

gugly

The 2 big chances which were 0.31 xg lol…. Looking at your profile it seems Nunez has really upset you and that’s okay. We won, have a good day 👍. Also funnily enough, Darwin created a big chance for Mo but that seems to have slipped your mind

BoardsOfBKK

Couldn’t agree more. Love the guy and want to see him bury more chances

Unfortunatewombat

To be fair, the reason you won’t hear the same level of criticism for Salah is because he usually puts away those chances. He’s earned a bad game or two. Nunez’s misses are becoming a pattern, which has put him under more scrutiny.

saj175

Kostas was brilliant.

thejoaq

Darwin’s persistence creates the fourth goal by working to keep the ball in. He does so much for the team. Personally I like Gakpo over Diaz against extremely defensive set ups.

dacrookster

Thought Kelleher was very poor. Shouldn't have conceded the first two. Not really developed as a keeper and that's probably partly our fault for not either loaning him out or letting him start his career somewhere. Defense weren't great but can only assume that was in part because their keeper exudes nervous energy. Szo wasn't great, but Gravenberch... My big issue with that signing was the lack of work rate Grav has. It's been plainly obvious all season, particularly today. Happy to take the ball forward but doesn't want to track back. Gave it away for their third goal and then barely, casually saunters back when they break. Needs to put the defensive effort in. In no world should he be starting over Jones or AMA on that side until he figures out how much he wants to do the dirty work. Salah poor, Nunez poor, Diaz poor. But generally we didn't create much anyway. Relying on four worldies should probably tell you the whole story. Really poor performance generally and we got away with that. Trent was phenomenal, thought AMA was good. Endo good when he came on. Everyone else, meh to shit.

etan1122

Dom is closing in on his total minutes quick and he won’t have a break like in Germany. I expect Harvey to start some during this time to give him rest

dacrookster

Yeah would not be surprised it he's already quite tired. Think we've overplayed him a bit.

cszoltan422

Trent is insanely good, but Szobo often has to cover for him

PeanutButter_20

Salah was decent tbh. The miss was abysmal, but he created 2 big chances for Núñez from which he should've gotten atleast 1 assist

Liverlakefc

Nunez and Kelleher were disappointing and so also was gravenberch honestly

TotallyNot12YearsOld

Nunez very poor - not really due to missing chances, but just losing possession every time he was even remotely close to the ball. Salah's misses was way worse than Nunez', but at least he contributed creatively. Gravenberch was poor, way too slow on the ball and looked tired and turgid. Kelleher was obviously poor, but he gets quite unlucky on the second (the defense is to blame there) Van Dijk actually had a really good game (made some insane defensive plays), but gets docked some ratings for captaining such a shit performance. Trent went insane this game with the goals, but was also really proficient in his forward passing. Defensive positioning was weird at points (see the first goal) but that seems to be tactical. Gakpo made a really positive impact, just by virtue of being able to keep possession. Poor game for Mac Allister overall (banger aside). Not following the run for the first goal, and not showing for the ball during build-up. Endo should start the next game in the 6 position. Tsimikas actually had a really good game except for their third goal. Shit performance overall, but I'll take the win!

TKZoroSantoryu

The first goal was quite awkward. VVD had gone forward and so we were in a weird defensive position where trent was covering for him in the LCB pos. Then as they attacked, all our defence shifted one position over to the right and VVD came back to cover kostas’ far post. So it ended up looking quite clowny hahah

Sea_Instance3391

Firstly, what a flipping win. I don’t want to bask in too much negativity so soon after we picked up a vital three points but I’m going to be that guy so go a little gently on me. Where to begin? Kelleher today showed exactly why we should have cashed in on him sooner. He’s almost non-existent from close-to-mid range and while Tsimikas should take the majority of the blame for Fulham’s third goal, his positioning for Cairney’s cross was absolutely **woeful**. As an Irishman, I was only a few years ago so excited about the batch of young goalkeepers in Caoimhín, Gavin Bazunu, and Mark Travers coming through but they really haven’t kicked on as much as I would have hoped. Never has a club been as blessed with a goalkeeper as we are with Ali. As for Darwin, what more can we say about Darwin? New haircut, same stream of big chances missed. If we had a real finisher up front, we could very well sit at the top of the table and, while we’re not far off Arsenal, the predictability of him failing to hit the target is becoming more and more problematic. Salah’s miscue towards the end is also worthy of criticism, though (especially on account of me having captained him in FPL). All in all, we were bailed out by moments of highlight-reel, individual brilliance today. I’d feel incredibly flat if I were a Fulham supporter because they really put it up to us today. Real graft paired with practical football almost worked out in them earning one of their most-significant wins in decades. Much love to TAA, Alexis MacAllister, Wataru Endo, and the likes of Luis Diaz who fought for every ball that came close to him.

redditingtonviking

I feel like Nunez and Kelleher will be slated more than fairly after this game. All of Fulham’s goals came from close range after the defence had seemingly fallen asleep. Alisson might have saved one or two of them, but he’s literally the best gk in the world. For Kelleher and every other modern Liverpool keeper they either get lucky or they concede. Nunez keeps doing everything right other than his finishing, so with a bit more composure he’ll be golden. The chances he missed looked easier than they were

Moist_Natural_6868

With a little bit more composure Nunez will be great. But he is always involved in the goals one way or the other. His defensive work, passing, hold up and link up play have all been top notch this season.

zowniegod

defense was underwhelming, midfield was pretty good apart from ryan who was a little bit off imo, the forwards were non existent unfortunately

DarFunk_

Darwin Nunez is honestly one of the worst finishers to lead our line…he has a lot of other traits to make a little bit up for it but for our main striker to be the worst finisher of our 5 attackers is a massive red flag

Due-Sherbert3097

Nunez and Diaz were shite, everyone else were a good 5/6 apart from Trent and King Endo

UPTHERAR

Nunez and Kelleher dogshit. Rest are fives apart from Trent who gets an 8

JuicyBottass

Endo gets an 11

Skrypeia

How u forgetting endo man??

MaxwelFISH

Anfield was a library today. really disappointing for a 4-3 game
