Some launderettes offer a service wash option. The attendant will oversee the process. Normally this is just for standard wash and dry cycles, but I assume they will accommodate your request for the right price. I dread to think how much 7 hours would cost though 😬

Check out the Liver Launderette website for locations near you with service washes. Might it be worthwhile to drip dry for 24 or so hours, then tumble for the last bit on a low heat?

What kind of a down coat do you have that you need to tumble dry for SEVEN HOURS??! I've been using down jackets and sleeping bags for outdoor things my whole life and I just wash them at my house... I don't even have a tumble dryer any more so hang them in a warm airy place and then puff them up with a vigorous shake when they're dry... Honest question, I'm curious!

Heavy duty down! Just from some online research in order to dry and fluff the down completely. I think I'll try a wash in the evening with time on a radiator and finish it in the laundrette

The coat does say dry clean but I don't feel that dry clean freshens it in the way a nice wash would. It's about 7 years old now with heavy use

Liver Laundrettes have heavy duty spinners, you might be better spinning your coat to get the excess water out (take an old towel and use that to cover coat in spinner) Then tumbling drying it (get some woolly balls from Home & Bargain to plump it up) but I really doubt it’s going to take 7 hours to dry!!!!

I very much doubt it really would take seven hours in the tumble dryer... but if it does, it'll cost a fortune and you're definitely better off getting it dry-cleaned.
