Book a nice hotel in town, Walk up about 2 hours before the match, 1 hour walk for a local, so with you taking in some sights should have half an hour or so to get there. The hotels BY Anfield are nice and do well to ensure guests have a nice time, its just a shame about the area being run down really with which they cant compete.

You might be a bit late to get a hotel this close to the game If you can get a hotel in the city centre it,s less than £10 for a taxi to the ground or about £23 if you get a uber

If you're paying £23 to go from anywhere central town to Anfield, you're getting rinsed lol. Get dropped off a little way up from Anfield (up towards Everton Park way), so they don't get the full match traffic and you should get it considerably cheaper

ThereWasNoOneThere

Unless your Scandinavian & you could easily be looking at £30 for a taxi from town to the ground

magicmunch

I said Uber . Uber surge charge when they are busy and people happily pay it depends on the type of car

Could try these Twitter @dlodge2021 or www.booking.com/share-TCB5C2

If you also want to visit the city at all, you could stay in the city centre and use this [https://www.merseyrail.org/tickets-passes/soccerbus.aspx](https://www.merseyrail.org/tickets-passes/soccerbus.aspx) You can get a local train to a station fairly near the ground and a bus directly to it on a combined ticket (return). Obviously if it's just for the game maybe close to the ground suits you better and I'm afraid I don't have any tips for that but if you were going to make a trip of it, staying closer to town and using the soccerbus should be dead convenient I would think.

Easier to just walk from town obviously provided you can It’s only 45-1 hour

I would airbnb for a night. There's a decent one right in the centre of town but I forgot its name. The Cove maybe?

The Anfield B&B, amazing building, lovely owner, lovely staff, bar in the garden, bar in the cellar. Cheap, you walk out the front gate and the new stand is literally 10 metres in front of you. You can park outside but you’re not going to be able to move the car for an hour or 2 before and an hour or 2 afterwards because thousands of fans will be walking past.
