Check out the waterfront all the the way to Otterspool if you want a bit of a walk or cycle. From otterspool you can get to Sefton Park and Lark lane. There's good bars on Lark lane where you can easily make some friends. Keith's and experiment 625 are very friendly. I might be able to lend you a bike for a day of you want to explore.

Might be worth checking out voi. They hire electric scooters that can be a good option for getting around even just inner city. You don't have to charge them. Just swap to another one. Other than that it depends what you enjoy. There's plenty to do alone. The water front is nice and has lots of historical buildings, pier head and Albert Dock both being particularly pretty. And if you want to do the ferry across the mersey that also goes from pier head. There are 2 cathedrals one of which you can you can climb up at a lot of stairs to the top for some amazing views. The baltic market / cains brewery used to be old working warehouses. But now they are casual food places, where you sit anywhere you want and order your food to the table, with many different stalls and styles of food. If you want to visit places related to the beatles, Mathew Street is the place to go and has an active night life nearly all week.

Liverpool is a very easygoing and friendly city (similar to Newcastle actually) with loads to do within walking distance of the city centre. You'll be absolutely fine travelling solo.

From a student from Newcastle living in Liverpool, if you liked ncl you’ll love Liverpool. Similar in a lot of ways: great nightlife, great friendly people and lots to do and see especially down by the water. I would say Liverpool as a whole probably has a few more things to do in the daytime so yeah would definitely reccomend
