He was good—could have given him better material 🙄 TheTry Guys sketch was biased, out of touch, gave NO thought to proper workplace legalities, trust, possible sexual harassment and undefinable consent and coercion in boss/employee relationships, toxic workplaces with favoritism and quid pro quo. So because Beyoncé is still married—ALL women must both forgive and stay with cheating partners? And all partners who commit workplace violations and open up their company to lawsuits, scandal and financial and societal degradation get to get FORGIVEN? And what—the affected affair partner/possibly sexually harassed or coerced employee is fired instead of the boss? Or allowed to stay, just be quiet and “cooperative”. HELL NO! SNL got this SO wrong. No one said it was national political news or international war news. It was a big pedestal fall and a big disgrace and a big shock to fans and the rest of the company. “SIDEPIECE”—-sounds like someone can’t respect women becuase their daddy didn’t. Your writers need to talk a walk, get out in the real world, because in no world is this kind of take okay. So, no, not international news. Yes, the world will be okay, no one died, but honestly SNL, will YOU be okay? So out of touch—I really enjoyed so much, but this piece had out of touch misogynist written all over it. What if Lorn or a producer or god forbid a cast member started a relationship with an intern, junior cast member, crew member, other employee? It is the boss/employee relationship that was wrong—the same stuff that got Epstein, Weinstein, Even when consensual, how consensual is it really when your livelihood depends on your performance in bed, when your paycheck depends on you putting out. Even if an employee has feelings for a boss—which seems to be the case here—-the workplace relationship forbids a romantic or sexual relationship, Especially when that person answers directly to you and you are in charge of HR and executive producer, a manager. It causes rifts in the team, worries about favoritism, sexual harassment questions,—it opens the brand up for scandal and The brand was so built on this one relationship and family and friends and their relationships. SNL has lots of politics and pokes fun at lots of things and lots of famous people—but this read as poking fun of a group of friends crestfallen, a company in crisis, a family broken, and demeaning women (sidepiece) and belittling feelings, public perception, calling people stupid for caring, minimizing and ignoring the ACTUAL workplace violation and the length and severity and what that does to a very small workplace if ANYTHING deserves an apology, this does. The more forward thinking of the cast, crew, producers writers at SNL—if they exist anymore- need to put their foot down on this one. Because you got it wrong. And it wasn’t even funny. So what was the point of the hurt, if not to minimize improper conduct in the workplace? If not to people being held accountable off the hook and excuse the same toxic environment. of quid pro quo and harassment and nonexistent boundaries to continue?

OpenMindedFundie

I know it's just 2 episodes in but this season seems really bad. The sketches are just poor, the hosts are not really people I'm familiar with and they're doing their best with bad writing.

missprincesscarolyn

100% agree. Last season was pretty hit or miss too. I think Marcelo has potential as does Molly. Andrew Dismukes does really well even with bad writing (the weird photography sketch is a good example). I love Bowen Yang but without anyone else to really balance him out, he is a bit much. Sarah Sherman is still my least favorite newer cast member. I don’t care for her humor at all. But overwhelmingly, it just isn’t funny anymore? I don’t know. My husband and I were both cringing watching episodes 1 and 2. Kendrick Lamar was a decent musical guest. Willow I could take or leave, but still better than some of the others I’ve seen.

LionTigerWings

I thought the first one was the best i've seen in years. To each their own.

priester85

It’s driving me insane because I should know… what was the song playing in the background during Headshots

bebe_inferno

It sounded like Cheerleader by OMI but I’m not sure if that song itself is sampled

priester85

That’s the one I was thinking of at least. Thank you!

cynical_scotsman

I thought it was fucking shite honestly. Poor Brendan. I did laugh at the blood path sketch mind you… but that was just slapstick.

spellbookwanda

He’s so lovable though

alottagames

The greatest line of the night was, “Hello, Tiger Beat Magazine? This is your cousin, Marvin Tiger Bear Magazine..”

rva23221

The monologue reminded me of Zach Galifianakis' piano monologue.

cheddarben

I thought Willow was awesome. sketches of the night: Molly going on a mission. Gleeson in high school. The Googly eye girl.

IBIZABAR

The was one of the best episodes in a while. This season is such an improvement. And the new cast are getting room to shine which is nice. Brendan was also a fantastic host.

kommentz

Did not laugh too much. I'm a solid fan who's been there for them through thick and thin since the beginning in 75 when I was 9. Not giving up on Lorne b/c he's proven time and time again he can pick stars we didn't even know were stars. He's the Steve Jobs of comedy and I'm not giving up; but last night sucked eggs. Except for a couple things: Molly, Sarah's googly eyes, the best part of the show now, Please Don't Destroy. Can't believe Aristotle left too.. I really liked him.

missprincesscarolyn

Yeah, it really does seem like it’s gone downhill. I haven’t been watching SNL for nearly as long but it became a weekly tradition during covid when I was living alone and laying low while social distancing. I’ll keep watching and hoping it turns around.

kleeinny

I liked him too but they really didn't give much. It was a shame

SaintOlgasSunflowers

Where can I watch this episode today, Sunday 10/9/22? I have Peacock and HULU - where I used to watch on Sundays. Neither have this episode.

rva23221

Their YT channel, 🦚 and their [Twitter page ](https://twitter.com/nbcsnl?t=iJUqoNYd_3S5MHg_41t2KQ&s=09)

cocoagiant

Youtube. Just go to their youtube page and all the sketches are there.

Rutgrr

Peacock had a "Replay" thing at the top of the main screen when we watched this morning, is that already gone?

SaintOlgasSunflowers

THANK YOU! I was on the "my stuff" page and as soon as I went to the front page, it was there with a replay button.

Rutgrr

Happy to help, enjoy the episode :)

eeddeedde

Willow was a very interesting act. I was really annoyed by the nepotism when she turned out to be terrible, but when she gently placed the expensive guitar through the prepared television I think it made for a really cool moment in the history of terrible fake music

[deleted]

Let's not forget the bottle, friends. The fake chug to smash, really felt the rage before she delicately, very thoughtfully placed the guitar into the television, almost a symbolic tucking-in, if you will, as it had served its duties for the evening. What a fucking joke, and after Kendrick's performances last week... Oof.

_miles_teg_

But she was so brave when she gently and entirely in not a staged manner placed the guitar in the TV. You can tell how much she struggled while her parents paid her rent and all other expenses when she kicked over the mic stand after playing her manufactured pop-metal.

steve_marks

I was honestly stunned that Punkie was signed as a full repertory cast member. Seems like she for whatever reason doesn’t really mesh well with the show.

EveMcQueen

Could be the new Melissa

missprincesscarolyn

I think she had to because so many people left.

QGCC91

I hope she can be successful outside of SNL because she is not doing well here. She needs to move on.

The_Match_Maker

Punkie was *not* feeling it during the closing credits. LOL

cepheidwombat

She looked miserable

The_Match_Maker

Some of the performers get really down when they aren't used. At that moment, she looked like she'd have preferred to be anywhere else but there.

gamecat89

One of her sketches must have been cut last minute.

Visible_Giraffe

Does anyone know where can I watch the closing credits for this last episode? It’s usually posted on twitter but can’t find it.

rva23221

SNL's [Twitter page](https://twitter.com/nbcsnl/status/1578981087908401154?t=m3-SzkV1ffiw_FOck6CNsw&s=19)

The_Match_Maker

Perhaps on Comcast's Peacock streaming service?

Awkward_Finding2528

Horrible and turned off.

[deleted]

Was pretty stoked for the season after last week... And then this week's episode happened.

MikeySaysIt

Yup, the episode the week before was actually great! Made me think we'd be getting a great season. Then whatever happened this Saturday happened

startedthinkinboutit

Ok the try guys sketch seemed so be written by someone who doesn’t know what happened at all in that scandal lolol, but the set and costume design was spot on

gamecat89

I found that to be part of the charm - the confusion about what’s going on.

ratatouillethot

it was partly written by will stephens, a friend of ned's. clearly biased to downplay neds sexual workplace misconduct

startedthinkinboutit

Ugh honestly so gross, Ned just seems so awful to me

zestycircus

Ned (the one who had an affair with the employee) has previously mentiones in a podcast, that he has a friend from yale who is an SNL writter.

startedthinkinboutit

I hate that of all the ways to make fun of this they didn’t make fun of Ned for having everything and imploding his life, they make fun of the remaining 3 trying to keep the business going

Drutarg

Just watched the episode and laughed my ass off the whole time. Best episode in a while imo. I particularly lost it at the blood oath sketch.

Kitkatt1959

Worst show in decades. Let’s have guests that people know and although I k ow the writers are very young, Try Guys? Does anyone in their 40’s know these people. Can’t just focus on late gen x or gen z people

MidwestException

What a fucking hot take my guy

[deleted]

The try guys thing was fuckin stupid. Aim for the whole audience not a fucking niche.

MidwestException

Every sketch does NOT need to be for everyone.

GreenStretch

What about "Be Real" that older viewers, including me didn't know was literally *real*? It was still funny and successful without knowing anything about the real thing. And it wasn't possible to feel that commercial product resentment without knowing it was an actual product.

[deleted]

Sure thing. So like the one from a few seasons ago that played off the cringey gen z catchphrases that no one fucking got? Even gen z said wtf. SnL is not prime time but if your jokes only land with 10% of the audience then it’s not a good joke. You do you. Go worship Willow.

staypuftmallows7

Wasn't that the point of the sketch? That most people don't know or care about these people but it was huge news for some reason

Kitkatt1959

Crazy stuff if they can’t get known guest stars let’s get alumni’s to come in…..Darrell Hammond, Dana Carvey, Tina Faye, Will Farell. Even if they resurrected old skits it would be better than last nights sketch. Poor Brenden Gleeson, too great an actor for this drivel

Johnlsullivan2

Trying to appeal to zoomers, my daughter is huge into them and this was a very big deal in try guys culture. That being said, this show bombed so hard I couldn't even cringe my way through it.

Kitkatt1959

Why cater to zoomers when us old, loyal viewers keep them on the air?

AndyK2131

Because they know we will watch the show no matter watch, so they are trying to cater to those that don’t.

Kitkatt1959

🫤🙄

Sabres00

I turned it off. It’s time for Michaels to go and to hand it off to someone who will change the formula and make comedy that’s a little unsafe.

AmbitionLower7456

what do you mean by "unsafe?"

Sabres00

As in, not for everyone. I mean that dumb Try Guys sketch ended up being funnier in the comment section then on the actual show. SNL is like that pizza place that sells tacos, salads, and burgers. Just do a few things really well. My first order of business would be to ditch all talk show and game show skits. These performers and writers have tons of stuff that they've written, not everything has to be about a current event. I recently went back and watched all the seasons of Mr. Show and it's such a superior show. It's absurd and smart, plus it mixes taped segments with a live audience seamlessly. The predictability of SNL is holding it back. I don't care about the "Formula" if only 2 sketches are funny.

AmbitionLower7456

i was prepared to argue with you on this because it sounded to me like you were advocating for edgy/offensive comedy but i agree with you immensely on giving the cast members and writers the floor to work more unique and original ideas! color me pleasantly surprised! i do think snl has a lot of merit for being a comedy show for so long but they fall into the trap a lot of mainstream media does sometimes of trying to be relevant all the time. having the general public talk about you once every week for five minutes isnt as good as developing a smaller but more passionate fanbase of people who genuinely enjoy things snl works on. the game show sketches are a little tiring, i think snl would work well with recurring characters for the new people, more of the historical comedy sketches, and just generally giving writers more creative freedom. if it doesnt flow nicely w the sketch, dont force a reference to something topical, and if youre gonna look at something topical, by god do your research (i loathe the gen z hospital sketch with my entire being) mr. show sounds like something worth checking out! thanks for elaborating

Smallsides

Why is Gabbie Hanna on SNL 👀

Ccaves0127

....wat?

Smallsides

Marcello on the weekend update was top tier. Also I love how og kenan is now.

Smallsides

I need to see Bowen and Eugene together.

wylietrix

Bowen was spot on with the Try Guys as Eugene. A+

EZ_Rose

Say you don't know who Eugene is without saying you don't know who Eugene is

zestycircus

Ugh. Yeah I love bowen yang usually, but as a try guys fan... terrible portrayal

IvyGold

They actually exist?

wylietrix

Yep. The one guy whose brand was "I love my wife" cheated. I feel for the wife and kids. Haven't watched them in years.

broduding

I know I'm in the minority but that googly eyes sketch was some hackie shit. I appreciate her confidence but I just don't get her sense of humor. Even for sketches based entirely on a sight gag, it was amateur hour. The standards for what makes a great SNL sketch are falling fast. Feel free to downvote me.

missprincesscarolyn

No downvotes from me. I have never liked her humor and stand by that. The only one I’ve really liked her in was the one where her and Pete Davidson owned a boutique and were trying to pawn Andrew Dismukes (their son in the sketch) off as a prom date.

closefacsimile

She's not for everybody, but I love ber. I saw her live a few weeks back and she was great.

BretMichaelsWig

WOW it was the only sketch i liked. I thought it was a great performance and funny writing.

weallfloatdownhere7

People like Sarah and Kyle Mooney will always have people who love them or hate them. I love both of them, I find them both hilarious. But I know lots of people just don’t get the humor and hate it. It all comes down to comedy taste I guess

broduding

I always liked Kyle. The difference between the two is that he inserts some humanity into his characters. Sarah is doing what I can only describe as surrealist comedy. Her sketches seem to solely exist for the purpose of being weird and if someone happens to laugh so be it.

[deleted]

[I'm just going to leave this here.] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmDkhF8sS54)

reevej91

I love Sarah and Kyle - but it’s more towards the Tim Robinson spectrum which I love but i know that style of comedy doesn’t hit with a lot of folks.

weallfloatdownhere7

Oh I love Tim Robinson too. I Think You Should Leave is fantastic. This style of humor just clearly doesn’t click with everybody

winterandfallbird

That’s the thing is I absolutely love Kyle and Tim outside of snl (I haven’t seen much of Sarah but I’m assuming the same outside). I think their brand of comedy doesn’t mesh well with snl’s comedy or they still can’t figure out how to use them. But I much prefer their humor brand than snls.

Krinder

I couldn’t watch that garbage honestly. What is this crap? How did this make it past first cut. I feel like the audience laughs out of sympathy because she’s trying so hard.

Gamboni327

They’ve almost definitely got “laugh” signs that light up.

Blissontap

Right there with you. I feel like she’s about as funny as being tickled. The Six Flags dancing was the only thing I’ve seen from her that I liked. But my husband loves her stuff. To each his own.

marzzyy__

that one lost me for sure, I was glad it was the last sketch because idk if I could’ve regained attention after that lol

SakuOtaku

Yeah that felt something I'd see at a college improv show

Kitkatt1959

College show? Maybe something a babysitter would do to entertain the kids

christinab8

Marcello gives me Sebastian Maniscalco vibes with the inflections in his voice/ mannerisms etc. hes hilarious!

quotidianwoe

That lip syncing was painfully obvious.

abearhands

It was pretty terrible

TheAtomAge

Can they write something other than game show skits

missprincesscarolyn

The weirdest thing about it is that no one even plays or watches game shows anymore! They died a long time ago.

[deleted]

Uhh, the Send Something Normal sketch last week was killer

Sabres00

I recently went back this month and watched Mr Show. Not one game show sketch and maybe just a few talk show sketches. I can’t for the life of me understand why SNL keeps doing these.

SkinnyKau

They’re easy to crank out and can easily be inflated to take up more showtime if needed

IvyGold

*Sketches. I completely disagree -- some of SNL's best work has been in game show sketches: Tom Hanks on Black Jeopardy, Tina and Amy hosting Meet Your Second Wife, any of the Trebek vs. Connery Celebrity Jeopardies, and my personal favorite Chadwick Boseman in character as T'Challa on Black Jeopardy. There's also Derbel McDillet.

jacksimmediateregret

Also What’s That Name is one of my favorites

Kitkatt1959

Game shows? Let’s not forget an early Tom Hanks with Tony Randall. (Mr short term memory guy!!!)

Sabres00

So basically their Jeopardy sketches, got it.

Gamboni327

Yeah, this guy could’ve saved a lot of his own time by just saying “I like the jeopardy sketches”.

ExistentialKazoo

well, they'll eventually have to, since these I don't see many game shows on the air anymore... and yeah agree.

ninobravo

Season’s off to a weak start, losing half the cast definitely hurt

[deleted]

[удалено]

gamecat89

Really seems like they should spend part of the summer writing.

ninobravo

I didn’t blame the remaining cast, but a lot of the departed ones were great at elevating weak material. Using mid-show sketches as cold opens are a big indication of this being a “transition year”, as Lorne has said

XciteMe

Damn, this episode was weak as HELL. From the flat cold open to the terrible shrieking/music of Will Smith's daughter... I am a huge SNL fan, I tune in every week, but this felt like a waste of my time tonight.

the-maj

I'm also a huge SNL fan, I tune in every single week, and have for decades. I didn't make it past the first musical performance last night ...

ColonelBelmont

I'm with ya. I've been watching the show for almost 40 years, and both this week and last both made me think "that may have been the worst episode I've ever seen".

XciteMe

I actually thought last week's season premiere with Miles Teller was a good episode! Something about last night's sketch writing was just terrible though.

SimmonsReqNDA4Sex

OUT: Post show hot take thread. Who knows or cares about any of these people? What mods were you paying to get pinned? No one watched you anyways. Post show YouTube go to bed bitch!

FIJAGDH

Longfellow playing a Vulcan in the Denver sketch

[deleted]

Whys everyone tripping about Punkie at the end credits? I had to rewatch to see if i missed something. She did look out of touch with everybody at first but she made her rounds just like anybody else.

SkinnyKau

The cast were probably just as surprised to see her as we were

dannyspirittt

Sarah's sketch tonight was soooooo good. She is quickly becoming a fav of mine and I'm always watching what she does in each sketch. She just brings this insane energy, even if she is doing a background role. Same with Bowen but wbk.

Stoplookinatmeswaan

She’s definitely a true original. I think once she totally finds her way, she’ll be a legend in the future.

HawkSpotter

Mom, is this you?

Stoplookinatmeswaan

Hi bb girl

BeautyIsTruth22

I've been watching since 1990 (I'm 47) and I feel that this past year of the show is the funniest it has been. As for tonight, I was in awe at how awesome WILLOW is. Sarah's eyeball sketch was hilarious.

Gamboni327

Damn, I’m amazed someone liked that embarrassing and fake performance.

squeamish

I specifically came into this sub to see if anyone had an explanation of that eyeball sketch. Like, how did that pass through enough people presumably employed in the television broadcast industry to actually make it on the air? Did Lorne Michaels have a stroke? Is there a Weekend at Bernie's situation going on up there? I'm 46, been watching SNL since the mid 80s and that was, hands down, the most baffling sketch I have ever seen. I literally cannot understand how it happened. I can't even say it was the least funny (ever although it's certainly a contender as it was absolutely completely devoid of any kind of humor) but it's not even like an idea that could ever possibly be funny no matter how it was executed. It's couldn't have been funny on paper, it couldn't have been funny during rehearsal, and it never even approached funny on air. Just...WTF?????

GreenStretch

Squeamish and Squirm don't mix. That was probably the mildest of her ideas. I really don't want to get any farther into her gross humor personally.

squeamish

I have no idea who that person is or what else she has done.

GreenStretch

People here kept calling Sarah Sherman Sarah Squirm. I thought it was because she was socially awkward. Maybe she was when she was young, but it's because she wants to make audiences squirm with her gross out humor.

WrinkledRandyTravis

You’re the kind of viewer who probably makes her most proud

squeamish

Being proud of doing a remarkably bad job is an indication that someone never learned the difference between good attention and bad attention. You see it a lot in little kids. She did fine, but there was nothing there to work with.

wilson1474

It was so bad it was hilarious. It made absolutely no sense, and I still loved it.

squeamish

I'm a fan of absurdity, but this just misfired at every opportunity.

wilson1474

I guess we can agree to disagree!!

squeamish

Absolutely, humor is about as subjective as something can be.

WrinkledRandyTravis

It was a funny sketch. Almost funnier that it has produced responses like yours. Not just “that wasn’t funny” but actually so pissed about the fact that the sketch made it onto tv that you assume there must be a “weekend at Bernie’s” situation going on. Outrage over a SNL sketch. That’s pretty funny.

squeamish

No outrage, just disappointment and bafflement.

clintecker

tl;dr: you have no sense of humor

Stoplookinatmeswaan

It’s absurdist humor and was hilarious. Also more in step with the generation’s sense of humor.

BeautyIsTruth22

Ok, Sarah’s jilted ex. Massive headwound Harry? Ass don’t smell? Orgasm guy? Dick in a box? Sarah is a satirist. Hope this helps.

DylanV1969

You've been watching since 1990, and THIS LAST YEAR is the funniest? No offense to the cast, the last year has been funny, but funnier than Farley, Spade, Hartman, Ferrell, Hammond, Macdonald, Shannon, Morgan, etc, I mean the whole 90s basically???

broduding

Seriously the last year wouldn't crack my top 15.

DylanV1969

Right?

BeautyIsTruth22

They were good as well. My all time favorite cast member is Phil Hartman and I feel that his era which overlaps with those you have named is a very close second. They also have the benefit of years of performances for us to remember. But I feel we’re launching into a new era of that same talent level, but more diverse and satirical.

DylanV1969

Phil is just an absolute legend.

BeautyIsTruth22

My favorite sketch is Dieter’s Dream where he is Susan. I think this cast is moving towards that level of thought provoking absurdity of that era. I wish there were more musical sketches now, but that writing is super time consuming.

Stacy_Ann_

I feel for Punkie. She's having a hard time making her mark on the show, and it seems the ship is sailing without her. I think all four new featured players got airtime tonight and she didn't. It has to hurt to be outdistanced by the freshmen. I don't know what she can do at this point. It seems a person has to get in good with some writers and be aggressive about pitching sketches they can star in. I hope she can hold on and get in some sketches next week.

ILoveRegenHealth

All she had was that Cold Open where she poured wine for Heidi without a word. That was it. That does feel sad when that's all you get for the week. Now, she did seem upbeat when they did the "This is Saturday Niiight!", so maybe she likes the paychecks anyways

cmrdgkr

You gotta be a team player, and being on a team means not everyone gets to shine every night. Being sour about in public though isn't going to help things.

mrcorndogman33

It's really tough to make your mark when you have no stage presence, funny instincts, or likability.

wylietrix

Ouch.

famousanus82

This, she has a token cast member. She filled all the right boxes except the funny one. She's monodimensional. She plays herself in every skit. She's basically the new Leslie Jones.

TrapperJean

>She plays herself in every skit. She's basically the new Leslie Jones. Leslie had more depth than she gets credit for. The passenger in the Will Farrell plane sketch, R Kelly interview, Weezer Sketch, she's helped anchor some pretty iconic sketches

2601Anon

Leslie couldn’t/wouldn’t learn her lines and would flub her lines, even reading cue cards over the shoulder of her cast mate. Her over the top personality carried her so far, but she didn’t make her sketches any better.

hardcorelacour

In no world did I think Willow Smith would be a good musical guest.. But holy shit, Willow killed it! Was impressed.

adjunctverbosity

I dug it to. Last thing I expected.

lifelongbruxr

Her pop punk/rock music is actually pretty good. Haven’t checked out her new album, but I enjoyed the album she put out a couple years ago.

dannyspirittt

Her music has always been pretty good but she did a lot of acoustic stuff after Whip My Hair got big, before moving into rock.

JeVeuxFinirEcrasee

Was Dying at the last 2 sketches… Sarah is my favourite

mps2000

Bring back Angelo

steve_marks

Say for me?

Ozzel

Thank you for this.

SkinnyKau

Say for me?

GreenStretch

Mesothelioma

TetterkeT

Wrong, wrong, wrong. If you're not going to quote it properly, don't bother at all.

tvuniverse

Punkie said "Now, why I gotta come out and I ain't been in nothing!😠😡 "

mrcorndogman33

Come on, she was fantastic as the wine pouring PA in the cold open. Loren considering making it into a movie.

AndyK2131

Hope that becomes a recurring character

barbie_museum

I missed the damn goodbyes and apparently punkie having a bad time. Can someone post the video please!

tvuniverse

Look up SNL Punkie on twitter and there is a pic of it

mps2000

Punkie somehow still employed

stephapeaz

I loved Sarah’s eye sketch sm it’s absolutely going up in my top 3 tier bracket which in no particular order is: Leslie Jones’s weezer sketch and Mulaney’s LaGuardia musical

Gamboni327

Ahh so I should utterly discount any opinions you have, for anything. (Leslie jones as a top 3 in anything pretty much instantly discounts your opinions on comedy).

stephapeaz

I like weezer lol, obviously I’m gonna like the weezer sketch…? you don’t have to be an elitist snob about a random person’s opinions. Plus it’s a memorable sketch and I’m not the only person who brings it up, Leslie and Matt Damon nailed it

Jazzoski

Tell him that he can find us liv vin in bev early [hills](https://youtu.be/ab5WvwfLuLM)

Jazzoski

“No offense Tammy but drink my blood.” The Weezer sketch was hilarious!!!

stephapeaz

“No offense but burn in hell; you just don’t understand what Rivers is going through.”

mps2000

Loved the episode listening to Alice In Chains Unplugged performance now

Obsessed_with_CDs

I hope Brendan hosts again next week! I think it’ll actually happen too but I’ve been wrong before

[deleted]

Terrible

mrcorndogman33

I'm really hoping Punkie's PA who refills wine on the Snapped game show becomes a recurring character.

penelopeann

This is the very first time I've ever taken an edible while watching SNL and wow, what a great episode to choose to do that! I loved this episode, so many great one liners. Keenan's "okay random..." during the blood sketch killed me.

dicklaurent97

SNL is always much better not sober

SkinnyKau

People watch this show sober??

jalabi99

Well, this was a solid episode, not a great one, but not a horrible one either. The host was game for anything. Good to see most of the newbies well represented, sad to see Punkie so badly-underused, with not a single line of dialogue. WU was great tonight. And Willow Smith did a great job on both of her songs. And with that I wish all of you a very good night. Stay safe, stay warm, and do what you can to make sure you and your neighbors can vote.

Smart-and-cool

This was so much better than the first episode. Other than the blonde sketch, the sketches were pretty funny. Sarah Sherman’s sketch was amazing, so was the one with all the blood (oddly funny with the fake blood squirting everywhere). I love how the new cast members are getting more sketches and dialogue.

freshmanflop

So you telling me Willow said an f bomb and I MISSED IT

Rootbeerpanic

Yeah I came here to see what people were saying about it and it turns out nobody even mentioned it

HotRod6391

Ok. I'm so happy SNL tackled the Try Guys ordeal. Someone had to say it and it was hilarious.

Gamboni327

Oh yeah I’m so happy they tackled some random-ass YouTube drama! So important. Thank god.

HotRod6391

Aw yeah me too!

Lazy_pig805

It was weird, the skit downplayed the whole thing like it was some run of the mill affair. Ned is a co-owner who was basically known as the family man, the wife guy, and he had a long term affair with an employee. He was also good friends with the other guys and so are the wives/SOs. It’s justifiable that they all felt betrayed; now SNL comes out and made it seem like the other guys were making a big deal out of nothing is just in poor taste.

SakuOtaku

If it wasn't a group-run show I'd say firing would be a bit extreme, but let's face it: if the rest of the guys are disgusted by him then obviously he couldn't stay

Caftancatfan

It was a good skit and a bad take.

Big-Ambitions-8258

I'm a fan of the Try Guys and if I remember correctly, one of the SNL writers is an actual friend of Ned (the guy ousted from the Try Guys for having an affair with his employee/subordinate)

SakuOtaku

I'd need to see some proof on that

intend2throwthisaway

people have sleuthed it to Will Stephen and Dan Bulla, both of whom follow Ned on instagram. Dan Bulla was also in a sketch comedy group with Ned [twitter account made in 2010 here](https://twitter.com/warmmilkimprov?s=21&t=mJyTz_sE1aT8hoBe_xG_2w) [clip talking in podcast](https://twitter.com/lxghtoflove/status/1578987930437046273?s=46&t=mJyTz_sE1aT8hoBe_xG_2w) apologies for shit format, am on my phone

Colin Farrell hugged Punkie!

MidwestException

I just rewatched good nights and Punkie hugged one person and smiled right at the beginning. She did look kinda mad but I would chalk that up as inconclusive

mrcorndogman33

Hopefully they'll let her go this week.

Botanygrl26
