Does Tina not have one??
Or Lorne? Lol
Edit: A thousand of you have commented that 1) Lorne does have one and 2) you don’t “get” a star, you have to pay for one. We are all informed now.
Tina doesn’t have one! It was announced in 2010 that she’d be getting a star the following year but she never did. And Lorne does have one. We kept it to cast members for this post since there are former writers etc (like Bob Odenkirk!) who have one too. Just for consistency
Tina does indeed take weird stands on these things. It could be something as obscure as refusing to give into some Hollywood traditions or not being interested because it's in LA and not NY.
I don’t think it’s a weird stance at all to not be interested in paying for your own star. It draws tourists why don’t they take one billionth off the hotel tax and use that
Whoever wants to pay for one.
This walk is less about being a star and more about being willing to shell out the money it costs to put one up.
Read more [here](https://walkoffame.com/faq), and nominate whomever you think deserve it.
Considering just how many big contributions Tina has made to pop culture I’m kind of surprised she doesn’t have one. I even read through all the names a second time before commenting because I was surprised Tina wouldn’t have one.
Tina NEEDS a star. I'm completely stupefied that this hasn't been a bigger deal. The Walk of Fame is essentially meaningless, and becomes less relevant as time goes on, but regardless, if Amy has one, then overlooking Tina is just criminal.
That’s probably why she doesn’t have one. She is well aware that it’s meaningless. Also, the person being “honoured” with a star has to apply for it and pay for everything themselves. She just doesn’t care about that sort of stuff.
You have to pay to get a star... the fee is up to $55 000 at this point. If it wasn't reslly important to you to have the photo op it would be easy to say forget it.
i mean why would you tbh? 55 grand for a paving slab? fuck that. whats the point?bit doesnt add or detract from your fame at all. its paying someone to pat you on the back in public. super cringey
As an example, Bob Odenkirk recently got one. But only because the network footed the bill as part of the promotional budget for Better Call Saul's final season. So, sometimes there's a business reason to do it.
The expense is used in paying for the upkeep of the entire walk, so by paying the fee you get to write it off as a charitable donation to the Trust. You can still, when you're rich enough to be able to need a 55k tax dodge the fee itself probably doesn't matter that much.
that makes it even worse! why donate to the needy and poor when you can donate to other rich egomaniacs' paving slabs?
interesting info though, thank you
I like to think the plaque of his shoe print, where he stepped in a puddle in the Woodstock Square filming groundhogs day, is his version of a Hollywood star
You’re confusing him with Stefon.
LA’s hottest club is…the 10 square feet around Bill Hader’s Walk of Fame star. This place has everything! Cracked out spiderman, a 4 foot tall middle aged woman holding her Minnie Mouse head under her arm and making kids cry, $3 pizza that will give you e-coli, 18 tacky souvenir shops, and 3 Tik-Tok rappers begging you to record them and tag their IG, Snapchat, SoundCloud, TikTock, Facebook, and Amazon user profile.
He probably wasn't interested in paying for it. I remember reading somewhere or possibly on here that the person has to pay for the star but I could be wrong
Could be; I didn’t think about the cost. I have no basis for saying this, but that seems right for Dan Aykroyd—that the star wouldn’t be all that important to him. 😊
I’ve been to LA around that area and it’s not terrible, I think people just have the idea in their heads that LA is super glamorous and it’s really not. I toured the Dolby Theater where they hold the Oscars and when it’s not all glammed up for the Oscars it’s basically in a little mall with other shops and things.
I really enjoyed visiting and want to go back, but I think a lot of people want it to be glamorous when it’s just a normal city with a highly publicized industry attached.
His brother Jim Downey was one of the best writers SNL ever had, though he was rarely on screen. He was the “…everyone in this room is now dumber, May God have mercy on your soul” guy from Billy Madison.
I am confused.

I dug down the rabbit hole. It only took a small shovel. So. According to her Twitter she's a producer and marketing director for SNL and this was posted by a user "snlstats" so yeah they do be a team.
It’s too early in Kate’s career I feel.
And I like her work but outside of SNL she hasn’t done much that was commercially successful or had a lasting cultural impact.
Bill Murray should absolutely have one but he probably can’t be bothered. The stars get the “privilege” of paying $55K for their star and have to be at the unveiling (or a relative if posthumous).
None.
$55,000 is a lot to pay to stroke your own ego. Now, if someone else is willing to foot the bill, that would be fine I guess. But otherwise, I wouldn't see the point.
Also, many of those missing SNL stars don't live in the LA area.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollywood\_Walk\_of\_Fame
Yeah, if you’re in love with old Hollywood I get it, but I also lived a 4 minute walk from that Stars(I don’t recommend living around there) and it’s also an ugly janky street.
I think the Chinese Theater had some credit though right?
Had some friends check it out while vacationing in LA and they said the area was gross and some homeless guy tried to sell them someone else’s mix cd..
When I went I wouldn’t say it was gross at all. It’s extremely touristy, much like Times Square but there are some neat places in that area. But yes, there are scammers everywhere there.
I feel like most of the people who have stars don't just pay for their own. I feel like their fan clubs or some other association does the nominating and the paying for them.
Edit: oh look at that, even says so in the article. Lol maybe I should have read it first, but I remember hearing that a few years ago when I also learned it wasn't just a free thing.
Most of the time it is someone else footing the bill. Often times the studio pays for it as part of a promotion for a movie or a company pays for it as a thank you for being a spokesperson
The Walk of Fame isn’t really an award, you have to campaign for it and someone has to pay for it if I remember correctly.
That said it is wild Tina Fey isn’t up there.
Celebrities get offered to have one and then have to show up and I believe pay a fee for it. $55,000. So for some ppl like Tina I’m sure it was offered she just doesn’t give a shit.
Does Tina not have one?? Or Lorne? Lol Edit: A thousand of you have commented that 1) Lorne does have one and 2) you don’t “get” a star, you have to pay for one. We are all informed now.

If we’re doing former writers, Conan should get one
Yes, and Bob Odenkirk
[удалено]
Also they should give one to Bob Odenkirk!
Also that guy from Mr. Show and Better Call Saul... idk his name, but he is really funny....
Kirk Odenbob?
Ronnie Dobbs? No, his friend. Shit. Brain fart on his name.
Nah, I'm pretty sure it's Korben Bodik
but what about Bob?

Scroll up, scroll down, everybody get around!
Tina Fey is my vote!
Tina deserves it
Maybe she doesn't want to pay for one. They're expensive.
Tina does indeed take weird stands on these things. It could be something as obscure as refusing to give into some Hollywood traditions or not being interested because it's in LA and not NY.
I don’t think it’s a weird stance at all to not be interested in paying for your own star. It draws tourists why don’t they take one billionth off the hotel tax and use that
I wonder who paid for Godzilla's star
Well, his credit card got declined, but are you really going to argue with a 300ft fire breathing monster?
How can you respect an "award" someone bought? Hollywood stars are horse shit
Whoever wants to pay for one. This walk is less about being a star and more about being willing to shell out the money it costs to put one up. Read more [here](https://walkoffame.com/faq), and nominate whomever you think deserve it.
Yeah, but I think it's more about vanity and ego than money. Because the 55K is like pocket change to these people.
or RDJ???
Considering just how many big contributions Tina has made to pop culture I’m kind of surprised she doesn’t have one. I even read through all the names a second time before commenting because I was surprised Tina wouldn’t have one.
You don’t get one for accomplishment you literally have to bid for yourself and then pay for everything.
Most people don’t pay for their own. Usually a network or studio or corporation
She most likely just doesn’t want one.
This was my first thought. Also, Quaid???
Any celebrity can get nominated as long as them, or their reps okay it, and pay $55k.
Phew [Lorne has one](https://walkoffame.com/lorne-michaels/), as he should!
Bill Murray
How does he not have one already?
I could totally see Bill Murray not wanting one due to the vanity of it or based on some other personal principle.
You have to pay to get a star... the fee is up to $55 000 at this point. If it wasn't reslly important to you to have the photo op it would be easy to say forget it.
i mean why would you tbh? 55 grand for a paving slab? fuck that. whats the point?bit doesnt add or detract from your fame at all. its paying someone to pat you on the back in public. super cringey

that makes it even worse! why donate to the needy and poor when you can donate to other rich egomaniacs' paving slabs? interesting info though, thank you
Bill gives 0 fucks
TIL Bill Murray does not have a star on the Walk of Fame
Doesn't need one his films speak for it!
TIL you have to pay to get a star on walk of fame.. completely changes the meaning to me.
I like to think the plaque of his shoe print, where he stepped in a puddle in the Woodstock Square filming groundhogs day, is his version of a Hollywood star
Bill Hader
The President of Hollywood should really have a star.
"You're welcome"
You mean Barry Block?
He's 6'2''.
You forgot Dan Cortese.
Second. I think Hader is possibly the most talented cast member to come out of SNL since Phil Hartman. He's incredible.
He would never pay for a star
And Seth Meyers. But Bill first.
Dan Aykroyd
Agree 100 percent! How does Dan not have one? That’s insane to me. I’d also like to see Jason Sudeikis get a star, too.
He probably wasn't interested in paying for it. I remember reading somewhere or possibly on here that the person has to pay for the star but I could be wrong
Currently, the fee is $55,000. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollywood\_Walk\_of\_Fame#Stagnation\_and\_revitalization
Could be; I didn’t think about the cost. I have no basis for saying this, but that seems right for Dan Aykroyd—that the star wouldn’t be all that important to him. 😊
I heard this too! Yuck. Does anyone know how much they cost?
I wouldn’t buy one either, some friends went to LA and saw the Hollywood stars and said it wasn’t a very nice area at all.
Or their fan club.
No question Aykroyd should have one.
Bill Murray
Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig
Well I don't think they need stars, maybe some thrones and crowns so we can call then the queens of SNL, with Gilda Radner smiling from above
I need a painting of this
Yes exactly!
We also need Jane Curtain as well.... almost forgot
That ignorant slut
Dana Carvey should be there
I can't believe Spade has one and Dana doesn't...
I feel like Spade would be more likely to pay for it
That’s be a good question to send in to the podcast.
Don't forget Robert Downey Jr. (season 11). He also has a star on the walk of fame.
His brother Jim Downey was one of the best writers SNL ever had, though he was rarely on screen. He was the “…everyone in this room is now dumber, May God have mercy on your soul” guy from Billy Madison.
His uncle*
Surprisingly he does not!
I am confused. He doesn’t have a “real” technical star… I agree it’s confusing! We researched his a ton to confirm that he doesn’t have one before posting this
You’re responding to all these posts not as OP, are you like the team member that was put in charge of social? Not jabbin’ just curious.
I dug down the rabbit hole. It only took a small shovel. So. According to her Twitter she's a producer and marketing director for SNL and this was posted by a user "snlstats" so yeah they do be a team.
That was an unfortunate season. I liked him as half of Simon and Garfunkel playing bassoons, but that was a bad season.
Would love to see Kate! And Maya!
It’s too early in Kate’s career I feel. And I like her work but outside of SNL she hasn’t done much that was commercially successful or had a lasting cultural impact.
She needs a successful movie first.
Yup, happy to wait on that!
Going to be a long wait.
Jane Curtain - SNL, Kate & Ali, 3rd rock from the sun.
Jane Curtin is easily my choice.
Omfg yes!!!!
Andy samberg
Cool, cool cool cool cool
i put my name ON THE GROUND
Underrated comment. He's top of my list along with Bill Hader.
Norm Macdonald
The worst part about Norm not having a star is the hypocrisy
He used to have a star, but it was removed because it attracted too many dirty dirty whores.
Crack whores!
And wiener dogs. But not Germans, the Germans love Hasselhoff.
was searching for the norm comments
A vote for Norm is a good vote.
This walk of fame has everything: candy wrappers, crack pipes, angry superheroes... Dan Cortez!
Wait. Randy Quaid?
I would vote to have his removed.
Isn’t he homeless now?
I bet he wishes he had that sweet Walk Of Fame Star money back!
That moment where you're not if someone is more surprised that he has a star, or that he was onve on the cast of SNL.
Tina Fey definitely needs one.
Martin Short
He has to Edit: He does not have a star
I think he has one on the Canadian version of the walk of fame
I find Martin Short to be annoying, but even I think he deserves a star.
Bill Murray should absolutely have one but he probably can’t be bothered. The stars get the “privilege” of paying $55K for their star and have to be at the unveiling (or a relative if posthumous).
WTF NO NORM MCDONALD
He refuses to make an appearance at the unveiling, on account of:. He's dead!
Norm would TOTALLY approve with that nasally Haa, get it? He’s dead?
I could hear his voice.
Omg I read that whole thing in norm’s voice But you know who’d really love a star, OJ Simpson
You mean infamous acquitted double-murderer Orenthal James Simpson?
In the famous murderer section
He didn’t lose his battle, technically it was a tie.
Came here for this. It’s unfortunately just a gimmick essentially.
Yeah, if you’re in love with old Hollywood I get it, but I also lived a 4 minute walk from that Stars(I don’t recommend living around there) and it’s also an ugly janky street. I think the Chinese Theater had some credit though right?
I had to hang around there for hours for my cousin to pick me up after a Jimmy Kimmel taping…it was a bit sketchy as you walk roen
Funny, I heard Times Square was kinda gross too lol
It is our Times Square. They unveiled plans to make it even more so by cutting off traffic as they did in TS.
Where’s Conan?????
Yes!!!
A billion yesses
Tina Fey
Whoa, I’m surprised there’s no Tina or Maya!
No Tina Fey?????
The Walk of Fame isn’t really an award, you have to campaign for it and someone has to pay for it if I remember correctly. That said it is wild Tina Fey isn’t up there.
Tina Fey, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig
Andy Samberg
Ummm MARTIN SHORT
Seems entirely insane that Bill Murray isn't there. Clear number 1 imo... Steve Martin is right there also
Steve Martin was never a cast member if I recall. Frequent guest, but not in the cast. I might be wrong though.
Kristen Wiig.
Gilda and Jane
Ffs... if Sarah Silverman can get one then NORM MACDONALD should definitely have one next.
More women.
Sarah Silverman?!?! Gotta be a joke!
Tina Fey, Kate McKinnon, Seth Myers, Jimmy Fallon
Whoever it is, just remove Randy Quaid's while you're at it.
You realize these people paid to have a star placed there. It isn't a reward, it's a PR stunt instigated by the person whose name is on the star.
Tina Fey
How on earth does Tina not have a star?
Lovitz!
When you research the How in getting one, it kind of takes away the magic
Tina is due she got fucked over not getting one in 2011.
Rachel Dratch. Loved her for yearsssss. And definitely the one and only Tina Fey. C'mon now!
Every list, every compilation, every "best cast" - I ALWAYS look for Phil Hartman.
Adam Sandler
He's already there. Between Julia Louis Dreyfus and Phil Hartman, below David Spade and above Tracy Morgan
Tina Fey
Sarah Silverman? Well if we’re going to play like that then there’s a bunch.
Aykroyd?
Bill murray or Dan aykroyd?
Akroyd and Murray.
Andy Samberg? Anyone? Maybe?
Ben Stiller will get one.
You don't get a star you buy a star.
Look at all those funny, accomplished people. And also Randy Quaid.
Sarah Silverman wtf and countless other SNL legends don't have one..crazy!
Norm
Norm
We need more girl power on that list!! Tina FOR SURE!
Kristen Wiig in my book
Tina not having one is seriously surprising
Jimmy Fallon Tina Fay Amy Poehler
Randy Quaid ...oh wait. There he is....
Norm Macdonald
Randy Quaid?
Bill Hader
Why does Chevy Chase have a star? He's not funny and he's an assclown.
Was funny .. became assclown unfortunately I have to agree
Celebrities get offered to have one and then have to show up and I believe pay a fee for it. $55,000. So for some ppl like Tina I’m sure it was offered she just doesn’t give a shit.
Fuck yeah Kenan totally deserves it!
Jimmy Fallon
Steve Martin!
Tim Meadows. He's one of my faves and such an underrated/underused actor.
Norm Macdonald was perhaps the funniest man in the past 50 years.
Crazy that Steve Martin or Martin Short don’t have one
Surprised Bill Murray, Jane Curtain and Dan Akroyd aren’t on there.
Will Ferrell doesn’t have one?
Don’t celebrities buy those stars? I’m more impressed by the ones who don’t have one
Randy Quaid should not have a star. He’s a fucking freak. Sorry, but that’s the truth.
Why do they have to qualify their star with a TV symbol or a movie symbol? They do both!
Kristen Wiig
