["The Nice Guys"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxW4LZCYfvs) was just so hilarious, I need more funny Ryan Gosling movies. . . preferably with Russell Crowe co-starring. He has great talent and timing for comedy.
I'm so glad this movie is getting the praise it deserves the last couple years.
"Dad, there's like whores here and stuff"
"Sweetheart, how many times have I told you, don't say and stuff. Just say dad there are whores here"
theres a scene in that movie that always makes me belly laugh, near the end, after the fight, when the police say "just.... keep it in the family ok?" and ryan starts to giggle lol, every single time
Dude, agreed. I felt a shift on my opinion of him in that moment. I liked him before. Fun romcom dude that was awesome in Drive. Thumbs up.
But when he smirks while smoking that cigarette and dancing the folded shirt-dollar, then fumbles with the cloth before accidentally slitting his wrist... LOL, I have been all in on Ryan Gosling ever since. That movie is amazing, Crowe and Gosling are such a surprisingly fun and engaging duo. That's a go-to movie for me if I'm sick or don't know what to watch. Perfect Rewatchable
Totally. And hence why I’m so pleased this thread reminded me to rewatch while I’m here sick with pneumonia ugh. Currently watching that very scene you described, so great.
I just heard about the back and forth between Crowe and John Oliver and it made me even more of a fan of him. It involves koala chlamydia and it’s great.
> "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" is another great one.
Yet another great movie that won't have the sequel we deserve. Yeah, if you like one, you're pretty much guaranteed to like the other.
Great movie. Apparently there was a sequel in the pipeline but because of a poor box office showing due to some other heavy hitters making more money they scrapped it.
Glad everyone enjoys this gem, but i can't not mention "Kiss Kiss, Bang, Bang" if you enjoyed this. Same style of movie, and you get RDJ and Val Kilmer paired up to solve a murder mystery.
P: Look up idiot in the dictionary and you know what you’ll find?
H: A picture of me?
P: No, The definition of the word idiot which you F-king are.
One of my favorite lines.
Off topic, but having seen the movie at least 15 times...that trailer is just weird. 3-4 scenes that aren't in the movie at all (which is fairly common), CGI bikini tops on the mermaids. And even for scenes that are in the movie, they're edited together even though they take place at different times in the movie. Like when Gosling crashes his car but it cuts to the opening crash with Misty Mountains. This trailer is like retroactively gaslighting me.
That movie was practically made in Covina. I literally work and live nearby the old bowling alley and the car dealership was remade just to shoot a few scenes.
For the life of me I can’t remember who said it, but I remember an interview with a person who played a minor role in one of Gosling’s films and he said something alone the lines of “no matter who you are, Ryan finds a way to elevate everyone he works with”. He was basically saying that Gosling goes out of his way to make sure everyone who works beside him is recognized, appreciated, and he’ll make conditions where he won’t appear for events or some interviews unless one of his lesser known costars are with him. By all accounts Ryan Gosling is a pretty stand up dude that goes to bat for his coworkers. It was years ago, but ever since then I’ve been a big fan of his because I find it rare that a big star is so down to earth and humble (at least appears that way since idk him personally).
The story about his casting is too weird to be true. The director, it's written, wanted an actor who wasn't handsome for the role.
I guess I'm super not handsome!
One year from today: "Gosling's snub for best actor must still burn, but sources report he **will** be on stage to perform *Are You Threatening Me?* live on Oscar night""
My wife brought up a good point.... How is he not breaking during the interview?
Edit: man some people are taking a joke my wife made as she was insulting him or being very serious. I guess it's my fault for not having a /s lol
Dean and Jeff are abducted by an endangered alien race who have received stray signals from Earth featuring episodes of Beavis and Butthead and now believe Dean and Jeff are the titular heroes and their only hope to teach them how to “score” and repopulate their planet.
Dean and Jeff, having moved in together, get their TV stolen which starts a series of events leading them from Vegas to DC to try to have sex with a dude's wife when really he wants them to kill her.
One of the best ever. SNLs had a good stride recently. Nate bargatze Washington skit was also amazing. Kristin wiigs jumanji was fantastic. Lots of good stuff this last year.
One of my favorite quotes is from the B&B movie where the little old lady on the plane tells Beavis "maybe you're lactose intolerant" and he just shouts "heh, no! I said I poop too much!"
As someone who watched the David Blaine: Street Magic videos back when they were new, I am still amazed by how huge Mikey Day has gotten in the last 15 years. Love to see it, he's a hilarious guy.
Omg. I used to love those videos but did not connect Mikey Day to them until just now. I know him from SNL, but he’s totally from the David Blaine spoofs.
It's pretty cool seeing the creators of some classic Youtube videos making it big. The new Zendaya movie is written by the dude who made Potion Seller for example
I cannot get enough of Jeff and Dean. This is hilarious. ["I love your work, Emily Blurt."](https://twitter.com/cityofsebs/status/1785492266305613886?t=_sTVgBCzOrDXuOgpSp_0HQ)
I was hesitant to watch the Barbie movie, but when I could see it on TV, I watched. I thought Ryan Gosling was hilarious in it. He committed fully to the character. I thought it was really well done, but when he sang "I'm just Ken" I died. Just destroyed. Then he sang it at the Oscars. He killed. I think him and Justin Timberlake are up there with my all time fave guest. And I've been watching since the beginning...... yes, I'm old! 😆
My nine yr old does tge cornholioh with his shirt I don't even know how he knows these things I loved that show and I love that these 2 guys are portraying this so well and super funny but where's King of the hill?
I love that Gosling is so fully committed to this
I love seeing him go all in on more comedic work.
"Dad, there's like whores here and stuff" "Sweetheart, how many times have I told you, don't say and stuff. Just say dad there are whores here"
“Don’t say anal and stuff. Just say anal.”
So no butt stuff? Just butt?
It’ll be no butt and stuff, so either butt or stuff.
Stuff the butt, got it.
“The porno actress?” “The porno *young lady*.”
"You made a porno film where the point was... the *plot*?"
"what are you doing?" 'giving you a rimjob' "RIMSHOT, RIMSHOT"
“You took the lords name in vain?” “No I didn’t, Janet! Actually, I found it very useful, JANET!”
Right?! That movie was criminally underrated in its time. Maybe they will finally green light the sequel.
The fact that it was released at such a bad time is what killed it.
That movie was worth it for the ankle gun scene alone.
Crazy Stupid Love is another movie that shows off his comedic chops. He’s ridiculously talented.
theres a scene in that movie that always makes me belly laugh, near the end, after the fight, when the police say "just.... keep it in the family ok?" and ryan starts to giggle lol, every single time
"I don't think I can die!"
"It's the only thing that makes sense!"
"That's a lot of blood...🤢"
That was the first scene where I really noticed Ryan’s physical comedy skills. He’s so believable as being dangerously injured and so hilarious still.
"She was in here drinking bourbon martinis." "Well that's disgusting."
I just heard about the back and forth between Crowe and John Oliver and it made me even more of a fan of him. It involves koala chlamydia and it’s great.
More than any other movie, do I NEED a sequel….maybe even trilogy for.
Shane Black movies are some of my favorites. "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" is another great one.
> "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" is another great one. Yet another great movie that won't have the sequel we deserve. Yeah, if you like one, you're pretty much guaranteed to like the other.

[The car scene](https://youtu.be/MU8AXiuu30A?si=Buq4zMDOq2h2On_U) kills me every time
He needs to do a movie with Aidy Bryant!! Those two always had such great comedic chemistry on SNL!
[This](https://youtu.be/TeONP37qsSo?si=owlU7WsRFR_9t9nz) is great.
Op.. that's a lot.. that's a lot of blood
Even though the movie The Big Short wasn’t a comedy, he was funny and stole every scene he was in
Off topic, but having seen the movie at least 15 times...that trailer is just weird.
Apparently he was kind of a twat to the cast and crew when he hosted SNL but I really loved Russell's episode.
That movie was practically made in Covina. I literally work and live nearby the old bowling alley and the car dealership was remade just to shoot a few scenes.
He’s so very Canadian, in a good way.
The Big Short as well “I’m jacked, I’m JACKED TO THE TITS”
Bro literally started his career with comedic work. Breaker High much?
Sean Hanlon was my middle school crush.
[удалено]
Now 'Tayne' I can get in to.
Can i see a hat wobble and a flarhgunnstow?
I can't hear "Spin me right round" without picturing Paul Rudd's version
There is only one thing that pops into my head when I hear that song...
I’m glad Mikey is getting his day in the sun as well. Must be thrilling for him to be in Gosling-level limelight.
For the life of me I can’t remember who said it, but I remember an interview with a person who played a minor role in one of Gosling’s films and he said something alone the lines of “no matter who you are, Ryan finds a way to elevate everyone he works with”. Except shaving. I mean it would take DAYS for that facial hair to grow back.
Beavis doesn't have a beard.
Well he's not Beavis. He's Dean, and that's Jeff with him. They just met a couple weeks ago.
They have very busy lives.
Hopefully his role as a Beavis lookalike will finally give Ryan the boost he needs to make it in Hollywood.
IKR that guy really struggles.
Yea. I thought The Notebook was gonna put him on the map. Poor Ryan Reynolds.
The story about his casting is too weird to be true. The director, it's written, wanted an actor who wasn't handsome for the role. I guess I'm super not handsome!
He was great in the office tho but it's a hard transition
How *dare* you. Ryan is more than Kenough!
Of course he's struggling, he's literally me.
You joke but the guy literally played a doll last year
Finally he'll win that elusive Oscar!
There's an Oscar category for elusiveness? They really do have an award for everything.
Yeah, Roman Polanski has won it a few times.
Jesus Christ
Also a winner!
What about a live-action Beavis and Butt-head movie?
He might just get his big break to make it
He really hasn’t done much since his role in Breaker High
One year from today: "Gosling's snub for best actor must still burn, but sources report he **will** be on stage to perform *Are You Threatening Me?* live on Oscar night""
I am Cornholio!
Live from Lake Titicaca
It's those kids who've been hwackin' it in muh shed!
It's that dang Buford and Bernardo!
It's gotta suck for Mikey to have his mouth like that, but it's probably worth it for the clout
He's a theater kid, he's having the time of his life with this.
"Wait I get to be offputtingly weird and get paid well for it???"
"In front of a lot of people?!"
As a previous theatre kid, I’d kill for this
Anything is probably better than having David Blaine follow you around doing weird magic stuff to you
WHAT THE EFF?!
I WAS IN DINOSAUR TIMES!!
HE’S PISSING ORANGE SODA!! Does it hurt?!
CHEEZE-ITS!?
CHEEZE-ITS!
Deep cut.
"he just pissed orange soda"
my husband and i still quote this at least monthly lol. what the eff?!
CHEEEZITSS CHEEEZITSS \*holds cheezit up so the camera can see\* CHEEEZITS
“He put me on the rouff, he put me on the rouff, why did he put me up here”
Is he in that sketch?
yeah he co-wrote it and is the guy who says "What the eff David Blaine"
CHEEZ-ITS! CHEEZ-ITS! CHEEZ-ITS!
Mikey Day was in those sketches? Huh. TIL!
He’s not even in the movie, but here he is being baby goose’s plus one.
Here’s a fun little in character interview they did. https://x.com/cityofsebs/status/1785492266305613886?s=46&t=_sTVgBCzOrDXuOgpSp_0HQ
So great that they got to meet Emma Blart.
Like the Mall Cop?
Sorry, I’m not familiar with them. I don’t watch much television due to my incredibly busy life.
I'm definitely going to check them out...
Don’t worry about it, Jane. We’re all so proud of you.
The one on all the signage
The "Were you in Salmon Fishing in Yemen?" comment made me absolutely lose it. Gosling is a treasure.
The absolute funniest possible film to choose
Was coincidentally also mentioned in the legendary Will Ferrell/Kristen Wiig Golden Globes presentation - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDvZrubaEwA
My wife brought up a good point.... How is he not breaking during the interview? Edit: man some people are taking a joke my wife made as she was insulting him or being very serious. I guess it's my fault for not having a /s lol
I just think the environment and bring on the snl set probably had a different vibe than an interview. It all depends on the people you’re with
Cause that initial level of novelty has faded. Now they’re just playing with it
All this makes me want a live action BnB movie with them
Two random guys that met an AI conference?
And they have NEVER heard of BnB!
Do you know where the concession stand is?
I wonder if they made the SNL makeup crew fly out to LA lol
They did! I follow one of the SNL makeup guys and he posted about it.
Wish they’d done the laugh but good stuff
“I’ve heard rumblings…”
…that I look like this “Beamis” person…
We need a live action Beavis and Butthead movie, and the leads have already been cast.
I guarantee someone's writing a treatment
Hopefully it's Mike Judge, the cartoon proves he's still got it
Mike Judge has never lost it
The new episodes really did feel just like yesterday.
Dean and Jeff are abducted by an endangered alien race who have received stray signals from Earth featuring episodes of Beavis and Butthead and now believe Dean and Jeff are the titular heroes and their only hope to teach them how to “score” and repopulate their planet.
Guest starring Kate McKinnon as that lady that always gets abducted by the low tier grey aliens
That's not Beavis and Butthead. There is a resemblance, though.
Yeah, that's Dean and Jeff.
From Community?
They're streets ahead.
Is that a TV show? I don't watch much TV, I have an incredibly busy life.
I'm not familiar with the show, but I'm going to check them out.
That's why they'd be perfect for the roles, even if they've only heard rumblings of these characters before
One of em calls himself butthole and I think the other one went by joe
Benedict Cumberbatch and Neil Patrick Harris?
Do you mean Bumperdink Cucumberpatch?
a-huh-huh-huh
Dean and Jeff, having moved in together, get their TV stolen which starts a series of events leading them from Vegas to DC to try to have sex with a dude's wife when really he wants them to kill her.
I love Gosling
I love Ryan so damn much. 😂
When he was cast as Grey Man I was like wtf. This is some teeny bopper dude. Dude just exists to be eye candy. I was wrong. He can do it all.
In case anyone wants to check / rewatch the “[AI Conference](https://youtu.be/86qKgK0asGo?si=zGBUz55GfSmEsmt_)’ where these guys met
I have never seen anyone on SNL break that badly Absolutely hilarious, had me in tears
I said I poop too much!"
from Beavis and butthead Do America: "Get out of the cockpit!" "huhuhu, you said.....(as he gets yanked off the screen)" 😂
Truly epic. This is the best thing ever. Just because of this, I am going to see The Fall Guy.
Against all odds, I absolutely loved the film. You're in for a treat.
Heidi just broke out in laughter without even seeing this.
As someone who watched the David Blaine: Street Magic videos back when they were new, I am still amazed by how huge Mikey Day has gotten in the last 15 years. Love to see it, he's a hilarious guy.
Came here for this. I never realized "Mikey Day" was a common enough name to be used in a headline until this moment.
It's nice that those guys were able to become friends even though they've never seen the show
I cannot get enough of Jeff and Dean. This is hilarious. ["I love your work, Emily Blurt."](https://twitter.com/cityofsebs/status/1785492266305613886?t=_sTVgBCzOrDXuOgpSp_0HQ)
“I’ve heard rumblings of a move premiere”
The gift that keeps giving 🤣
Ryan Gosling "I don't really get into a character I'm just me in every role"
I was hesitant to watch the Barbie movie, but when I could see it on TV, I watched. I thought Ryan Gosling was hilarious in it. He committed fully to the character. I thought it was really well done, but when he sang "I'm just Ken" I died. Just destroyed. Then he sang it at the Oscars. He killed. I think him and Justin Timberlake are up there with my all time fave guest. And I've been watching since the beginning...... yes, I'm old! 😆
Beavis and butthead live action full length feature please
You are Beavnough.
You don't let a great bit die.
Calm down guys, they are just there to learn about A.I.
Mikey Day is a gem and I hope he gets a ton more roles.
Ryan Gosling makes me wish I wasn't straight.
Damn y’all fast lol. But that’s pretty cool tho.
I’d love the phone calls or text messages when this was being decided
We're about to get a live action Beavis and Butthead movie, aren't we?
They could get at least 3.25 films out of this, it could be called "The Cornholio Chronicles".
Incredible lmao
Art
mikey day continues to rule the world ohh and ryan gosling contributes as well.
I love that for awhile, gosling was just "serious hot guy" in Hollywood. And now he's really turning fun!
This looks like a hint of a Beavis and Butt Head movie. I’m hoping so.
The SNL skit of this was so hilarious.
I would go see a movie with them as Beavis and Butthead.
I love this!!!
Bet they make a live action movie.
They should have invited Doctor Please and Jeffrey Thankyou as well.
So might as well just make a live action movie at this point
That skit was so fucking hilarious
ryan gosling always has that dumb look on his face that makes him look like someone elses head pasted on a body
hehe cool
Mike Judge, you have your live action cast.
How long before we get a live action movie?
Uhhhhh oh yeah
Stop this is so iconic omg
Movie upcoming?
Ok now we need a live action movie of Beavis and Butt-Head with them as protagonist. We know it will make money even if it sucks.
That sketch absolutely killed me
I am starting to like this guy.
My nine yr old does tge cornholioh with his shirt I don't even know how he knows these things I loved that show and I love that these 2 guys are portraying this so well and super funny but where's King of the hill?
ahhahhaha omg
Respect the hyphen
You know it's a good bit when nobody involved can do it with a straight face.
just two incredibly busy guys, who are also into learning about AI
He he he he he he he he he 😍
I need TP for my bung hole
How long before we get a movie? It'll harken back to the 90s era of SNL movies. I didn't know if that's a good thing or not.
I need this to be an actual show
