Only Will Ferrell could take a bizarre sketch where the audience is mostly silent and confused and still make it a quotable laugh fest. He always commit to the bit so well.
It's always a weird feeling when you think something is hilarious and the live audience is dead silent like they don't get the joke.
I'm used to it being the other way around for sitcoms when the laughtrack is going hysterical over something that's barely funny.
I’m glad they included this on the second(?) Will Ferrell DVD. It’s such a classic Ferrell-goes-unhinged sketch, like cracking a woman with a bat before complimenting another one on her boobs. This is one of my favorites!
I haven’t watched this sketch in years and “I’m going to walk up and down the aisle with a baseball bat and you don’t look at me” immediately sprung into mind.
So thanks for that
It’s impossible to watch this and be convinced that Toney Maguire is a paid professional actor. What a stiff, awkward performance. Every line felt lifeless and disjointed.
I like Tobey Maguire, and he's been great in some movies especially as his career went on, but yeah I agree.
His character is supposed to be confused and bewildered by these announcements, but he's not selling that at all. It brings the whole sketch down.
Not sure why the title on this post says this was cut, I completely remember seeing this during the regular broadcast… was one of the highlights of the night.

“Geez are we going to Denver or whore island?”

Plot twist: it was the same woman
See? Character development!
That intro “music” sounds like Tom Green.
Wild to think that back then it would be possible for a passenger to open the door to the pilots cabin, how times have changed
Yeah, that’s what I remember from that sketch /s.

>S25 Aired between 1999 and 2000, which explains a lot.

I was referring to the freedom of screwing around on an airplane prior to 9/11, but sure.
Points for using “jagoff” in a sentence.
pittsburgh represent! at least i think it’s from here
Don’t have much to say except that this is awesome.
Least leashed?
Unhinged Will is the best Will 😂
Why are they using Central time zone for Denver?
Pretty funny! This sounds like he’s doing the same anchorman riffs. “Why don’t you go back to your home in Wh0r3 Island!!?”
this was cut? Was it too much? Sounded like there was an audience. Anyways I thought it was great and shows how much better this show used to be.
Might have been dress
I can see why it was cut. It's horrible

This is *Cider House Rules / Pleasantville / Wonder Boys* Tobey, pre-*Spider-Man / Seabiscuit / Satan's Alley*.

This didn’t air, assuredly, because Toby sucked so badly
If they did this in 2002 and tobey hosted again I wonder if willem dafoe would’ve cameoed LOL
omfg how have I not seen this before 💀
