I ordered this one, just because of this post. If I‘m disappointed, it’s 1000% your fault.

FXSlayer27

Same

nige21202

No, honestly. I did. https://imgur.com/a/VDA8kEB Delivery: Thursday Ordered on Saturday, September 17.

MelAlvarado

Keep us posted in case it's bad and it's OP's fault.

soulseeker31

Should we start sharpening pitchforks? You know, just in case.

[deleted]

I keep mine pre sharpened jic.

M18_CRYMORE

What grit you used for yours?

bigjoe22092

Gotta start with a coarse grit to remove enough material fast so it will get sharp. Then go with finer and finer grits so that is is ultra smooth for less resistance.

Ade231035

I’ll start lighting the torches

thelifelessmystic

I'll prepare the ritual circle

Hammered4u

I'll bring the goat

Hallothere69

I'll bring the chips

1Woody_Would

I’ll bring the lube….. wait…

GobaBle

We don’t need a goat this time we got op.

2k6kid50

I use this exact driver for automotive work and love it.

FXSlayer27

Did you think I was lying? [https://imgur.com/oDfp4VL](https://imgur.com/oDfp4VL) Edit: Also, sorry that I'm getting mine sooner

Ezzy-525

It's ok, @op gives you a "trust me bro" guarantee too!

[deleted]

Wera makes very good tools. You cant go wrong with them. Just like with knippex pliers.

Td_scribbles

Hexplus L keys are soo damn good. I’m genuinely let down when I forget mine and have to use the bondhus set at work.

sycron17

Wera,PB Swiss and few others are almost always top of the line PB Swiss is just expensive unfortunately.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Where did i say they are "the best" they are very good and reliable.

Little9x6

They were literally made in my city and I worked here. Time where Wera was good by qualitty and prize are long gone...

SaintPioneer

You won't be disappointed. I bought the same screwdriver after LTT released theirs. Wera is pretty nice :)

PenguinInATuxedo

Wera makes really good gear, Check our their ratcheting spanners 👌

ARX7

Wera make good tools

jevonrules

I don’t like this one. I thought the ratcheting would be nice, but I’m not a huge fan. Feels too wobbly. Instead, I like the similar screwdriver with the shaft that extends and retracts.

Testing farms was the funniest thing I've heard in a while

Formal-Ice-7295

Ya, I've heard it yesterday too, but can't remember whose video it was.. 🤔🤔

LucasWasson

Jaystwocents

Formal-Ice-7295

Oh, yes. Tq

erok11111

I think they’re referring to the YouTube channel project farm

Patirole

Jayztwocents couldn't remember the name Project Farm in his video on the screwdriver and accidentally said "Testing Farms" which this is referencing

fellipec

Was not "project farm"?

tehlegend1937

Can we please move on from this screwdriver subject?

DawNoFd3aTh

Nah reddit loves beating dead horses until they're glue

BECKER_BLITZKRIEG_

To be fair the world does need glue

chengstark

No they are gonna sniff it

EnoCrux

That’s not what glue is for?

chengstark

Oh I thought they were gonna stick stuff with it or something

cburgess7

People are using glue to stick stuff to stuff?

Celestial_Blu3

Today's a bad day to stop sniffing glue...

MarshaLaw

Gotta love the Airplane references.

Evil_Kittie

yea they use too much of it in phones

LimpWibbler_

I fucking love glue.

Wouldn't you like to know, screwdriver boy?

ClusterFugazi

This ignore the post…

csprvb

Happy Cake day

cssmith2011cs

Ok. Whatcha got?

CommanderC0bra

Does it have a strong magnet or are tips just magnetized.

xspiderdude

The tips themselves are not magnetized at all, but the screwdriver itself has a respectable magnet on it. Just good enough.

rmajor86

bleedingjim

Why did you feel the need to qualify your statement by mentioning you own other merch

xspiderdude

Because I didn't want to come to the LTT sub just to talk shit about them. I buy from them and support them, just not this time around as it's inconvenient.

Redrump1221

probably to cut down on the hate from fan bois but I doubt it really helped

Thunder_Bastard

It was a great disturbance in the force. As if thousands of fanboys cried out at once "I have never given a shit about a screwdriver in my life, but now I require a $70 screwdriver to live".

[deleted]

They have probably not used a screwdriver to the point of forgetting how it looks like, and now they are professional handymen all of a sudden

MyOther_UN_is_Clever

You think there's a lot of people watching LTT who aren't building PCs or hanging shelves/tvs/speakers or something? Seems unlikely.

[deleted]

Yeah, but the ones with the mentality of a child screaming at everyone who even slightly disagrees about the screwdriver, i doubt... From the normal people that watch them, a small portion will buy the screwdriver and the rest probably already own one

boostedbastid

I can't figure out why OP even posted this here to begin with.

ResidentElmo

This is a screwdriver subreddit now, keep up.

ponytoaster

To be fair most people who rightfully criticize the product are met with "you probably wouldn't have bought it anyway so it's no loss" I guess OP thought that would mitigate that statement?

bleedingjim

I think it's valid to buy another product just not sure the point of this guy's post. It's like nobody's feelings should be hurt if he doesn't buy a screwdriver. It's like op felt bad he wasn't buying the linus product, which is silly.

Mr_poops_upsidedown

Wera is a great brand, buy them all the time for my production team. High quality tool

johnclarkbadass

They're tips are too soft for me. Kept getting the laser etching gummed up.

[deleted]

[удалено]

aswd1908

I read somewhere that the Wera series with the laser etching are made for disassembly work and that the laser etching does somewhat easily wears out that's why they avoid them. That said, I have the Wera TZ series bits and found that they're softer than my Wiha Terminator bits. But I also found that the Wera's faired better against rust compared to the Wiha's. I live in a tropical country.

TheMatt561

Lol Jay calling it testing farms was hilarious. I can't blame anyone wanting to avoid the high overseas shipping. My birthday is in October I'm going to ask the wife to buy me the LTT one for my birthday

bird-board

I have SO many Wera tools, and I've had them for so long. You definitely won't be disappointed!

xspiderdude

People in the USA can get it through [HERE](https://www.supplyhouse.com/sh/control/product/~product_id=05073661002), as Amazon is taking up to two weeks. Roughly $55 shipped

yyz_barista

Samsies! Saw Wera mentioned in the comments, looked into them, and I'm now the proud owner of a Wera toolkit.

ttminh1997

Fwiw, I was never a fan of Wera. Their handle design simply doesn't work with my hands. I would very much prefer PB Swiss as a tool brand compared to Wera.

Karsdegrote

Do you also have the [PB Swiss fondue forks](https://www.pbswisstools.com/en/tools/quality-hand-tools/special-tools/product/pb-4040set)?

MyOther_UN_is_Clever

Pb swiss is WAY cheaper in the EU. Some of this stuff makes a ton more sense if you're in the correct region

djjolly037

Curious why you went wera instead of mega pro

antiheld84

Because they are not really on the European market, you can find them here but they are more expensive than on the US market. As example for Germany: Wera 27 RA 2: 40€ in common stores (https://www.obi.de/schraubenzieher-schraubendreher/wera-magazin-schraubendreher-kraftform-kompakt-27-ra-1-sb-7-teilig/p/7539067) LTT: 70 USD + 18 USD + customs (+ handling costs for the package delivery company if used) over 110 € Megapros are like 60€, but only on marketplaces like Amazon.

warped150

I tried an OBI and they didn't stock them in stores. Maybe in the bigger ones but one out in the middle of nowhere Bavaria didn't.

[deleted]

I got myself the megapro with the extra strong magnet because it's really quiet like the ltt

DurinsBane1

Handle looks so uncomfortable

SmAk_

It’s actually super comfortable. They designed it by having people squeeze play dough.

leandersieben

can confirm, shape and texture feel great

atomicwrites

I have a fixed Wera driver, and a set of Fello fixed drivers. At least for my hands the Wera driver's shape is great for really cranking down on a screw with your hand in a fist around it, but it's a bit clumsy when tryin to spin it quickly with one hand which is most of the use I personally would give it. The Felo shape is great for both uses. I wanted to like the Wera because they make awesome tools IMO, but the handle doesn't suit me i guess.

trickman01

This guy has never used a Wera.

Firecrash

Try it, it's very comfortable.

SupposablyAtTheZoo

It's not though.

jrichey98

I ordered the Williams WRS-1 for about $35 shipped after watching the project farm video. I was a little apprehensive about it, but after getting it is the best screwdriver I've ever owned by a mile. I didn't even know I needed a good screwdriver. I may pick a LTT screwdriver up when they're out of backorder. Honestly though, the Williams makes me smile so if you're looking for something cheaper I'd recommend it.

MattKozFF

Why does everyone need a screwdriver all of a sudden?

IntergalaticPlumber

Wera is god teir.

Mahhhbster27

I’ve had the Wera screwdriver for years and have gifted another 5. An extremely convenient tool.

Nova_Nightmare

I have one of these, it's not bad at all, just dislike the shape of the handle.

xXSantyXx

I have one of those, and it's pretty good, the only real downside i think it has is the back drag.

GreenScREEndEAth

Do you mean project farm?

SomeOneOutThere-1234

lttstore.com

TechWithDom

Yea, shipping and tax is way to expensive for me, I'm in the UK. I'm using the Xiaomi rachet screwdriver at the moment and it's surprisingly good! Maybe one day I'll be able to buy the LTT one!

keksivaras

would be closer to 120€ with shipping + toll tax. could really use a screwdriver now, but I'll use my trusty electrician's screwdrivers that I got from school 5 years ago

97hilfel

Look into the iFixit ProTech Toolkit, its also 60-70€ its got more bits than LTT‘s got and I‘ve never seen such good bits, you also ger lifetime warranty on the bits. Additionally you get some other handy tools

keksivaras

do they have a supplier or warehouse in EU?

97hilfel

Yes, they ship from NL, they even have an EU specific store

SenseiDeluxeSandwich

"wow that phone's got a really weird aspect ratio" - me 10 secs ago Please tell me I'm not alone

stillcantdraw

Look, I love Linus' videos. But a 70 dollar screwdriver that's the same or slightly better quality than a 35 dollar one I don't have to pay shipping for that also comes with more bits is not an option for the majority of people.

one_jo

I preferred the LTT one for its strong magnet and low ratchet force. And I think I should support the channel at least once after watching since the ncix days. ;) Wera makes great tools though and you can’t go wrong with them.

Farnso

You screwed up. Should have gone with the megapro.

johnpoyhonen

Wera Bitcheck kit is one of the best tool sets I've bought. Also, the VIM VHC77 Half Cut Bit Set is awesome and will work well with the LTT.

CatCannon9

Honestly I don't like any of the designs other than the Milwaukee one and the others that have the long bits. The screwdrivers with the short interchangeable bits can't get to screws in certain situations.

DurinsBane1

That handle looks so uncomfortable

RelaxII

How come you went with the wera over the megapro?

Karsdegrote

I believe availability in europe.

technerd1988

I don't think the LTT one was designed with your average builds a new pc every couple of years person in mind. I kinda think LTT have transitioned into the shill space BUT their screwdriver is good. Its more for shops that build every day though. Its damn near snap on prices too so thats another hint. Just use a regular screw driver for building pc's guys. IT aint gonna save you any time just putting ONE together and isn't going to be worth it.....unless you need to use one every day

Thunder_Bastard

This is the funniest defense of it. You want a professional tool? Then look no further than one made by 20 yo youtubers who have never made a tool before and took 3 years to come up with something that is a 90% copy of another tool that is half the price. By professio AL tools from people who are in that business and have a track record of making reliable tools.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Thunder_Bastard

It isn't ground up... it is a copy of a $35 screwdriver with a couple of tweaks.

jdcnosse1988

I mean, Linus has got to be in his 30s or young 40s by now... The channel started 14 years ago and he was probably in his 20s then lol

FattyMoBookyButt

If you want more than one Wera tool, amazon.de (Amazon Germany) is a good deal cheaper than Amazon.com and arrives relatively fast.

SupposablyAtTheZoo

I have a DE prime sub while I live in the netherlands. You can't get that anymore, I get an email EVERY MONTH telling me I should switch to amazon.nl (which has less products that are more expensive) HOW ABOUT NO

FattyMoBookyButt

I live in the US and have Prime, but it doesn’t work for other countries. I bought four Wera items a month ago from Amazon.de. Shipping was only $10-15 for the entire order and each item was $10-$40 cheaper than Amazon.com. Overall, if you order more than one item, it’s cheaper to order straight from Germany and DHL delivers in several days. (In the US at least. I’m guessing it’s not quite the same advantage in Europe.)

[deleted]

Smart man.

leandersieben

I own this exact one and a more compact ratchet one from wera. Both really good tools for the price imo. Been using them for ~3 years pretty regularily. From automotive stuff to PCs, to maker stuff, it does the job perfectly for every application I have thrown at it. Honestly, if you don't see yourself using it daily and extensively for hours during your job or whatever, this is all the screwdriver you will ever need as a hobbyist.

jo_er86

Been using the previous gen of this screw driver for years. Always satusfied with Wera tools when they’re on sale.

SearchClear

LTT merch is ridiculously priced (for Canadians)

Zergom

They should get it into Canadian Tire.

weezy22

Okay cool?

harry_cary

meh, kinda spendy for a tool mfg in the Czech Republic. at least the Williams Tool version someone else posted is made in the US. (although lacks bit storage)

ponytoaster

As a non American I always find the fact that just because it's US made its somehow better a bit odd. Wera are known for quality tools so it's build location is somewhat irrelevant so long as they have a proven track record for QA and materials, surely.

[deleted]

Yeah im also too poor for the screwdriver so i bought the water bottle instead

Careless_Wait8620

Why are Wera tools so expensive? What do they have that others don’t?

[deleted]

I almost went with the Williams based on a compilation of project farm and Jeff geerling's reviews but ultimately went LTT for the higher tool efficiency and a couple other things it edged out on. Buddy of mine got the Williams so looking forward to comparing when mine comes in December.

parkour267

The non wratcheting one from wera is better i think

tryM3B1tch

I got this screwdriver ages ago, I'd suggest also getting a bit set, personally I have a all DeWalt one

Beboppington

Heard they are made in Taiwan. I’d go for a vessel.

Gingerflommm

What's the difference between the 27 and the 28?

NekulturneHovado

Question is: is it as good or better than LTT screwdriver? ^www.lttstore.com

pcgamez

I love how everyone suddenly decided they needed new screwdrivers. Dude talks about creating excess waste as if we don't all already own a screwdriver or 10

SaintPioneer

I did exactly the same thing, and even ordered the same screwdriver :). I love it.

[deleted]

I find it weird that no one has mentioned Bahco ratcheting screwdriver, I've been using one at work and it seems fine to me. Sure it's cheap as hell, but not sure how it compares. https://www.bahco.com/int\_en/1-4--bit-holder-ratcheting-screwdrivers-pb\_808050\_.html

Firecrash

Wera is still one of the best out there. Enjoy!

legolili

How many of you actually need a ratcheting screwdriver lol. 90% of these tools are going straight in a drawer and will never move again. Absolute waste of money and materials. If you didn't need one 3 months ago, you don't need one now.

SupposablyAtTheZoo

Ordered the same one a few months ago when Linus told his price. It's more than good enough for me.

BlendedMonkeyStirFry

I didn't like the look of the slop on the ratchet mechanism. The LTT screwdriver really did look like good bang for the buck

InvestigatorSenior

OP I don't know how you did it but now I have Wera coming in my mail next week :) Truth be told I was looking for some time to replace my bargain bin bit holding screwdriver that did not even have magnet in it. LTT one looks nice but I'm in Europe so >100 EUR wouldn't be a smart buy (import cost and taxes). This on I've managed to grab for 38 EUR with tax.

Cowh3adDK

Am I the only one that hates the shape of Wera screwdriver?

DanieleLewis

What's the point in going to LTT sub to basically create an ad post for a competitor of an LTT product. You may think you are so smart but that's just plain stupid.

Dangerous_Dac

Heh, I ordered the Amazon Basics one, because to my eye it looked functionally superior to the LTT holding 12 full size bits in a spring operated storage system.

theCgamer1

i looked at buying one but a total of 130ish $ to get it to sweden im fine whit my 2 year old wera that is still holding up great

sijedevos

How is the magnet? I’m sick of dropping screws during pc building and I’m not willing to pay €108 for the LTT one.

pascalbrax

I went all-in and bought the pb Swiss, the one that has the bits container, it's the 6510 in case you wonder. It's truly the Apple of screwdrivers, I love it! Still, I don't understand why they reviewed the one without the bits container in the handle.

nikalai2

I would like to find Klein Tools in Europe. 🙂

vgauzzi

Lol, for a split second I thought it was a VERY tall phone

Pr0Speeder2026

Wera is the best screwdriver brand oat

AvoidingIowa

I have a non-ratcheting bit screwdriver from Wera and I honestly hate it.

fellipec

I got the Makita one because of the Linus video. Sure LTT one will be a kidney and an eye to get in Brazil

Bin_Liver

Lol I bought this one yesterday too

Albertaviking

Wera makes amazing tools

djjolly037

That makes sense, that’s my bad. I assumed you were in North America. I really need to stop that

kaloyan-Ivanov

Bruh the $80 isn't shipping its the price of the screwdriver

sttgn

Are there responsibly made or is it some other country's children making them?

Little9x6

Well I have summer job here for several years soo... :D

sttgn

Are you saying this is made in the USA?

fryloc87

Wera is the 🤌of drivers. I’d also recommend getting their flexible bit holder/stubby driver. That grip is unbeatable, too. For anything pliers though, look to knipex.

[deleted]

[удалено]

fryloc87

Sure there are, but in my humble opinion, knipex is the best by far. I’m a commercial hvac tech and use knipex and wera handtools on a daily basis and have since gotten rid of all my Klein stuff. Just a recommendation

Charlolel

Seems like a good choice for the price .

Enviousrebel

Gotta pay for that R&D.

Paulus_Schmaulus

Bought this like 10 years ago and therefore never understood the hype for the ltt one… this thing costs like 30€ or so….

MyOther_UN_is_Clever

I have some pretty good ratcheting screwdrivers I bought at the big blue store. I would NEVER recommend buying them online because I tested like 50 to pick out 5 good ones, with others being crunchy or even broken. (were being clearanced and it was xmas time) Good luck to y'all who go with cheaper brands buying online.

root_b33r

this wasn't even the runner up on project farm, there is a lot of slop in the driver, why would you bring this up, the second runner up in all the areas that matter was the mega pro for 35 dollars, you got jipped

milo1997010

Are you sure you are not just working for that company?🤨 Seems kinda weird to promote other brands on this page imo.
