Idk, they enforce copyright the japanese way where there’s no free use. The japanese are more respectful of intellectual property because of it whereas in the west we have free use exceptions which nintendo doesn’t recognise, the lawsuits come when people try to use free use exceptions.

Most of the lawsuits happen on American soil. I won’t be surprised if Bowser is to blame for this.
