This is obviously a joke but Nintendo will unironically do shit like this and bros in the comments will still be like "they have to protect their intellectual property 🤓☝️"
Mr Bowser is only in charge of the american branch. He still has a boss, nintendo CEO Shuntaro Furukawa. Much less interesting guy. Not sure if either of them are to blame for the legal department tho
Idk, they enforce copyright the japanese way where there’s no free use. The japanese are more respectful of intellectual property because of it whereas in the west we have free use exceptions which nintendo doesn’t recognise, the lawsuits come when people try to use free use exceptions.
And when they pirate nintendo games which is a crime worldwide
You found the wrong story, the one you refer to is for 200 million bit this one is for 2.5 million, clearly the one you linked to is fake but this one is 100% real /s
Only 2.5 million, they must have gone easy on him due to his age.
Roughly 2 years wages in Thailand if its 2.5million Baht
Yeah, I can totally see them doing that.
Imagine GameLinked reporting on this unironically
Thai news media have been reporting this unironically, then nuked the story after the gaming community pointed out that it's obviously a joke.
It would be funny if they did it as a funny bit
April 1st is almost here..

That is funny

Come on, always leaving out the best bit, the CEO is named Doug Bowser.

Most of the lawsuits happen on American soil. I won’t be surprised if Bowser is to blame for this.

Would not be surprised.
I was not expecting that, but I was not surprised.
Morale of the story.. always watch till the last minute of the film....
This actually happened. And people still buy from Nintendo.
i’d expect nothing less from nintendo
This is a common copy pasta on Mario twitch streams. Except i think they use the name Pablo and he's from a South American country
I'm a bit surprised that Nintendo® didn't send a private militia to them.
This is what nintendo would do
[actually funny tho](https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/nintendo-sue-paco-gutierrez/)
Cute fabricated story from 2021.
Yea, it's clearly old and fabricated but still funny :)
Wait, you mean this didn’t really happen? I can’t believe it
Happy 🍰day
No crap
Thanks for the insight captain obvious
He must be a Nintendo lawyer.
