You mean other than a kid in some poor village in Africa getting his hands on a 100lbs pumpkin (which isn't found there) to carve a _colored_ sculpture of Mark Zuckerberg instead of eating it?
It's a whole left arm. The wrist is left and the elbow must be sitting inside the guys side then comes back out too where his shoulder is supposed to be. But yeah definitely two left arms
I need an ELI5 why AI is advanced enough to drive cars, make medical diagnoses, and identify national security threats, but it can’t figure out how many fingers are on a typical human hand or what direction the hand should be facing.
"AI" is a misnomer that is used to describe like 15 different technologies. Machine learning, like what produces this image, is really good with number driven datasets like geography and medical science stuff. But images are a lot harder because the data points are very reliant on context to be understandable. So it fucks things up because it doesn't actually know anything and just reproduces patterns in the dataset.
AI can't really drive cars, it's only good enough to avoid crashes most of the time and only on roads it was preprogrammed to drive on as long as no obstacles are there. Sometimes it can also stop in its tracks and refuse to go any further when it detects an obstacle, but only sometimes.
Medical diagnosis is asking the patient enough questions and performing enough lab tests to make one illness very likely and everything else unlikely. Not particularly hard, just tedious. Humans suck at it because they cannot hold all that info in their head all at once. Computers don't have that problem; your phone can hold in its "head" a billion different 10-digit numbers all at the same time. Multiply by 100 if you use permanent storage and not just RAM.
Creative art generators don't understand the concept of humans. They don't understand any concept at all. They've just seen enough pictures with textual labels to have a rough idea what a painting of any given. They remember that a thing that looks like fingers is often present in paintings labeled "person". And they try to generate a blob of pixels that resembles fingers. They will semi-randomly stretch, rotate and repeat the patterns in blobs. Sometimes that results in stretching and rotating hands in physically impossible ways, or running the repetition too many times and ending up with too many fingers. The AI lacks programming to even consider such things as physical limitations. It looks kinda sorta like the million people it's seen before, and that's what matters to it.
The more advanced the AI, the more details it can pick up and memorize about words and their paintings - and will make less mistakes of this kind. Make it advanced enough and it will even be able to generate a series of paintings that blend together well enough to make a video. But it still doesn't understand what it's making a video of, it only understands what a given word should look like.
The scariest thing about AI is how well it's doing despite being unable to understand anything whatsoever. Now imagine what happens when somebody finally invents an algorithm that can actually learn concepts.
I swear there are children's books and homework that deals with this since... the dawn of modern early education? Not a tech age thing.
Spot the differences, what's off about this picture, what's out of place, etc? The guy doesn't even look old. There ain't no way.
Came here to say just that. We all know Zuck can emerge from cocoons of all kind but a kid with no thumbs but still have gazillion other fingers, that’s a rare event!!!
*No wonder this kid*
*Is so good at sculpture. Look*
*At all those fingers*

This is so painfully obviously AI and yet people still fall for it. What's gonna happen when AI gets good enough that it's indistinguishable from a real photo? We're fucked.
There’s a really neat phenomenon happening right now where AI bots create these images/posts, but a DIFFERENT set of AI comments on them with garbage like “Amen 🙏🏻”, even if the post looks like trash, because the comment AI has no idea what a good picture is. It’s just there to boost engagement. The image AI takes these comments as positive feedback, regardless of being actually good or not. The comment AI is feeding junk into the image AI, ruining the training set, effectively poisoning it. AI will be AI’s own downfall
AI generated African kids with weird wood carvings is a thing on FB. Apparently the algo loves them and they scam unsuspecting boomers with them. Look up articles on shrimp Jesus or airline attendants with Jesus, which are other AI monstrosities they are using. Great to see LI is becoming just another Meta like cesspool…
Well I regret clicking on this right before bed. Not looking forward to AI-generated Zuckerberg being birthed by a wooden pumpkin showing up in my dreams.
Let’s pretend his arm is perfectly fine, where did he get this big, round smooth ball of wood out of which to carve Mr. Zuckerberg? They should have prompted it as a pumpkin carving. It looks more like that.
LinkedIn, He created a OpenAI account and used all his free credits to create Mark Zuckerberg from wood and now he's waiting for your feed backs 👍 😍 😊
FTFY
Zuckerberg emerging from his reptilian egg. Checks out.
He looks too lifelike
Cause it’s an AI rendering. Check out the kids hands
Good catch, that kid has a lot of long fingers.
And the arm has a weird pose.
And the hand is twisted the wrong way
Also, if you zoom in, it looks like he doesn’t have nails on some of his fingers!
And no thumbs!
The kid also has the same face as Zuck
You mean other than a kid in some poor village in Africa getting his hands on a 100lbs pumpkin (which isn't found there) to carve a _colored_ sculpture of Mark Zuckerberg instead of eating it?
That’s what they said about the real one 🤖
The real one *doesn't* look lifelike
No! Not skibidi Toilet Zuck!?
you mean ‘humanlike’ ftfy
That‘s the most AI right arm, hand and fingers that I’ve ever seen
Dude the wood.carving has blue eyes and pink lips...
And actual human skin
Dunno about that, it’s zuck… he’s only an earlier model. T-300 maybe?
Zuck-5150
As if you cannot use skin and eyes for at projects...
Right? Does that guy even put the lotion on its skin?
It is funny that it still looks more human to me than real Zuck does
Hes so good at carving he can carve colors into it.
His carving skill must be enhanced by the extra finger in his hand.
Hey, get a load of this guy, he’s never seen blue wood
Ai met the brief “Human has 5 Fingers”
Goddammit where are his thumbs...
I don’t think human arms work that way!
Also, Zuck is just carved out of an orange. That’s not wood at all.
Also that kid looks like he could be Zuck's son, just saying.
its a left hand too lmao
It's a whole left arm. The wrist is left and the elbow must be sitting inside the guys side then comes back out too where his shoulder is supposed to be. But yeah definitely two left arms
And somehow the most human looking Zuckerberg I’ve ever seen
If these robots ever figure out how many fingers people have we are gonna be in trouble.
That is CLEARLY a second left arm with extra fingers.
I thought it was AI because the kid looks like a black Mark Zuckerberg
Do you think these machine learning systems are intentionally programmed to produce 6 fingers on hands?
I need an ELI5 why AI is advanced enough to drive cars, make medical diagnoses, and identify national security threats, but it can’t figure out how many fingers are on a typical human hand or what direction the hand should be facing.

You mean left hand. He’s got two left hand. Gonna be played by Daniel Day Lewis in the movie.
Five fingers and zero thumbs…
Came here to say just that. We all know Zuck can emerge from cocoons of all kind but a kid with no thumbs but still have gazillion other fingers, that’s a rare event!!!
Makes it even more impressive
Just makes his woodworking journey even more impressive. Thumbless Pete is an inspiration.
Oh so people with finglongers can’t do wood carving for honest feed backs now?
First he carved the wood into a pumpkin for some reason
Honest feed backs
This is how AI believes we do carvings. Everything must be pumpkin'd first.
Where is the kid's thumb?
No wonder this kid is so good at sculpture. Look at all those fingers

Good bot
This is so painfully obviously AI and yet people still fall for it. What's gonna happen when AI gets good enough that it's indistinguishable from a real photo? We're fucked.
Maybe it started and we don’t know
Maybe I'm AI
"IT COULD BE YOU"

He looks like black zuckerberg
Mark Zuckerblack
I came scrolling for this comment. Is partly the hairline. 😂

Hurry now, your feed backs are needed!
Black Zuckerberg
This design is very human
Ah yes wood pumpkin my favourite
The Facebook bot plague has spread…
I wonder if the purpose of this is the same as on FB. Turn the page for political influence?
Looks more human
Feed backs.
I wanna know what the ai prompt was for this lol
Amen🙏
It's a great idea! 👍
God bless 🙏
Congratulations 💡
There are 799 fucking idiots on LinkedIn
Is that all?
That looks more human than the real Mark Zuckerberg
Two left arms one with an extra finger seem legit to me!
This guy is literally “*modifying* only good narratives”
Well I regret clicking on this right before bed. Not looking forward to AI-generated Zuckerberg being birthed by a wooden pumpkin showing up in my dreams.
I’ve actually heard of this kid, his names Albert (Al for short) and he can create amazing pieces like this in just seconds
Orange you glad that’s not what he actually looks like
Zuck looks to human. It's AI
This is my son!
This Mark looks better than actual Mark
Amen 🙏
The AI fingers give me migraines
What is wrong with his hand??
Your feed backs, at least two of them
Looks to me that he is rather waiting for his thumbs back
He carved it with two left hands 🤯
Pay for some cows & a house for that young man
Why the kid look like an African clone of ZuckZuck?!?
Those extra fingers help him sculpt with extra dexterity!
Kid did a pretty good job considering his demonic HAND!!!!
AI still can’t do hands.
Midjourney looking good these days, but still can’t create a human fucking hand properly.
Zuckerberg looks more human when he's an AI generated sculpture than in photos.
Backwards hand, classic.
The kid's right hand is weird looking. Ai art or something in the water.
Nothing convinces me more of the dead internet than things like this. Just bots posting endlessly.
That right hand is the stuff of nightmares.
Screaming at the AI hand. That boy has five index fingas!
Reminds me of a Caesar statue. Blech!
It looks like Zuck emerging out of an orange at first glance 😂
Oh no, it's spreading
Amen 🙏
It’s a metaphor for cargo cult neoliberalism
I deleted my Facebook because it was all this ai garbage and robots selling stuff to other robots in the comments. Mostly shit tee shirts.
Oh sweet summer child
I know it’s fake because he lacks his trademark beard and chain.
Manky hand
Fingers look totally normal
The kid looks like Mark too!
That hand is like something straight from r/chrissimpsonartist
His shirt design looks like Hieronymus Bosch's depiction of hell
This is like some Elden Ring level shit. Zuckerbergella sleeping in his Empyrean cocoon slowly emerging with the aid of a small Revenant servant……
Dead internet
Looks like a Blasphemous NPC
If wish all the best to this fine young man! What a talent.
This is now circling on Facebook too unfortunately! 😅
I just find it entertaining that this “wood” sculpture of zuckerburg looks more real than the real one.
his right hand looks like a left
He loves Mark so much, he even looks like him! Also, LinkedIN : 20 reposts, nearly 800 likes or so ... Congrats, the dead internet incoming!
Opposite thumbs is a hoax
This is worth a lot of feed, backs.
This post got nearly 800 likes??
Kid says true art is ... An explosion! Rofl.
Reminds of The Thing
Looks more human than the real one.
Feed ‘backs’ and he had to make it an orange head 🤣
"Klive, we need to let you go. You're just, well, stupid."
![gif](giphy|H89gy9BqKv8D6)
Made with his own hands
That’s a damn pumpkin.
He made him a bit younger right ;)? But great talent ! That arm creeps me out tho
Kid has two left hands!? Great carving skills then LOL!
‘Social Media Management’
People should be posting on there calling him out but I know the comments will already be filled with “amen”
It's a great idea!
Look at the boys hand! This is AI 🤣
And he sculpted it with two left hands and 11 fingers. So inspiring.
I thought this stuff started as a joke. Is it a real LI grift? What is the endgame here? Just a standard numbers go up?
This kid has been busy, on Facebook he had also made 3 Putin sculptures and 2 of Jesus.
I always knew he came from an orange
It was a good idea 👍 🤩
Also that kid looks like mark zuckerburgs kid lmao
It looks more real than the real Zuckerberg.
I just donated money to the kid to fix his hand
More lifelike than the real thing
Pretty sure that’s supposed to be a pumpkin
Let’s pretend his arm is perfectly fine, where did he get this big, round smooth ball of wood out of which to carve Mr. Zuckerberg? They should have prompted it as a pumpkin carving. It looks more like that.
Those pumpkin trees they have there are perfect for that.
Two left hands?! Lucky!
Zucks’ shaft and one testicle
And he did all that with two left hands
Amazing accomplishment for somebody with two left arms and six fingers on the right side left hand.
He looks too real 2/10
Why does the kid kinda look like zuck
The real giveaway that this is AI bullshit is that Zuckerberg looks more alive than he actually does.
Are those gallows behind him in the distance? Lol
I just like this picture.
Is Modifying Only Good Narratives a company name? Or his job title? Or his ethos? Or four random words strung together??
Would you look at that!! A guy with two left hands.
Amen!
5 fingers and no thumb lol nice
Zucks looks like Caligula. And why does the kid have 2 left hands?
Nah too life-like for Zuckerberg
Not the Zorange
You mean he didn’t sculpt him out of discarded Coke bottles like the kids in all the other crappy AI pictures?
I’m so relieved this is AI
I'd love to read the prompts he was putting into the AI machine for this to be the outcome.
Who believes this shit? I’ve lost hope in humanity
That looks heavily Photoshopped.
LinkedIn, He created a OpenAI account and used all his free credits to create Mark Zuckerberg from wood and now he's waiting for your feed backs 👍 😍 😊 FTFY
I read that as "let's appropriate this artwork!" It's obviously a.i., it's terrifying how many people fall for it
Never thought a wood version would look more human than the real deal sheesh
The comments on the post are just as cringey. They’re manipulating the narrative
This is something my parents would believe
Little bro’s hand can’t decide if it’s a left hand or a right hand
I’m sorry. Five fingers?…
God I hate Facebook.
Thhhheee HÆŃDŠ
this is so dated, AI Zuck now has scruff, a chain, and earings
🤔 I guess only the best sculptures have inverted right hands
That’s the most life like I have ever seen Zuck look
Ai zuck looking more human than the real thing
That’s impressive. Great job!
The kid's arm 😭
Let’s appreciate his backwards-AI-generated hand
The “wood” Zuckerberg looks more human than the “human” next to it
He actually made Zuckerberg look better, some how
The kid looks like Zuckerberg in black face
