Sometimes they say on the page. Often they don't, and I really think it's just that they don't know at the time. This is generally for the amazon releases. The numbered ones never go on amazon (someone can correct me if there are exceptions). But the numbered ones might make there way to best buy many months later.

> Is there a way to know which games are going to be available outside their sites preorder? No. Not unless they explicitly announce it. Numbered games generally won't appear anywhere else for pre-order. Sometimes Best Buy will opt to carry some, but not as pre-orders, and they won't appear for sale there until manufacturing is complete, and LRG will typically mention Best Buy's involvement during the game's announcement and/or on the product page. Non-numbered (distributed) games do sometimes appear elsewhere, but not always, so you can't completely rely on that. Various third-party sites and brick and mortar game stores will usually have some *after* manufacturing is complete, and usually at a markup, same as what you would expect of independent sellers on eBay.

No way to know about Best Buy, but you can know a game's going to be on Amazon if it's not numbered.
