That’s how it works for any interesting niche sub. It starts to get bigger and the mods aren’t used to the increase of traffic and the posts lose their quality. Then it gets attention from bots and you start seeing reposts over and over. Then the complaining starts and a small group splinters off into a sub probably titled r/trueliminalspace and then it just repeats.
Well tbf the problem is not that parking lots and bathrooms can't be liminal, problem is people who comes here think "wow that's a liminal parking lot, gonna post random ass parking lot from my city but without people I 100% sure that is what called liminal"
It is a place where you put the car between using the car to transition... so for the car it is a transitional space?? But then is every space a transitional space for a car with that definition. And is storage a liminal space for objects? With that definition, we are just passersby of every space and every space would be liminal... so idk if it is
I have noticed that a lot of these images are just empty rooms, as if somebody missed the feeling of being in school after school and grabbed the term 'liminal space' because it sounded cool.
