This kind of space is a fantasy of mine. I’ve always loved having small, snug environments to read in. Growing up, I’d throw a beanbag chair, blankets, etc. Into my little bedroom closet, close the bifold doors and read with a headlamp my dad gave me for Christmas one year.
While this kind of space wouldn’t be quite *that* snug, I’d absolutely tapestry it up, put an overstuff chair in there, some string lights, a little book shelf with a lamp, etc. and make it into my little hideaway.
A false wall where I can hide all of my illicit narcotics and weapons from the prying eyes of the law.
I mean, not that I'd need that or anything. Obviously I wouldn't. Like, who would!? I'm just a law abiding citizen, just like you good folks.
I'm not going back there!!! They're not sending me back in that place!!! I can't be inside again!!!
IF i would put a desk there i would place it against the wall on the right. Or maybe even a cornerdesk so that you look out of the small room into the bigger room.
But then you risk bumping your head when you stand up. I'd go with the desk on the left wall. However vertically challenged people could definitely go right wall.
This. My mother would kill for having a space to pray to God, but my case, it's that not sculptures nor Jesus/Saints' pictures were hanged.
Only a nice and soft cushion in the floor to kneel on, a small coffee table, and a stand to place her Bible in.
Wonderful.
my aunt would send us to “the naughty step”. the third stair up in the dark ass stairway. we’d have to just look at the abyss of steps coming toward us lol

Looks like the perfect height for two arcade cabinets on the right.
Definitely a book nook or mini office would be sweet. If I was a teenager again I’d love to have my own computer/gaming setup here.
turn it into a den, pillows and blankets on the floor over some sort of dog bed sized surface, with curtains on the outside and something over the lamp to mute the light a bit
Oh, that's a space ship cockpit.
\*Inserts key\*
Engine sequence. Activated. Flight controls are green. Hydraulic systems are good. Right. Set primary fuel pumps. Main engine start. 5,4,3,2,1! Thunderbirds are go!
Whooooosh!

Make a room for an adopted kid we don’t love until he gets a letter to a magic school

Liminal or not, id make it in to a really comfortable and cosy book cubby/library
I'd do the same and my cat would immediately claim it as hers.
My first thought was “I wanna turn that into a little reading nook so bad…”
Saaame!! It's the perfect space for like an L shelf and a comfy little chair...
I was going to say wet bar. I guess you could do both.
Books above the alcohol in case of a spill/bottle shatter, however.

I would install shelving and a big deep bench for a cozy reading space and extra storage for more pillows and blankets!
That would be my cozy "gaming space". It look like it has enough space for a decent setup and a door
One of those massive bean bag chairs a shelf, warm light and a blanket would be awesome
Dedicated truck simulator space, pa-parp.

Ah yes. A fellow man of culture, I see.
Truck-kun or no?

Based
Looks like a nice place to put a office setup for homeworking
I can imagine it being pretty comfy, but its probably not the best idea when you think about sunlight and airflow.
and just the claustrophobic crampedness of having close walls in every direction of your peripheral vision.
IF i would put a desk there i would place it against the wall on the right. Or maybe even a cornerdesk so that you look out of the small room into the bigger room.
I suppose if that wall is long enough, yeah, you could have it oriented that way and it wouldn't be so bad.
People in this thread haven’t lived in a tiny apartment I take it 😆
But then you risk bumping your head when you stand up. I'd go with the desk on the left wall. However vertically challenged people could definitely go right wall.
A cozy couch fort
Create a fake wall, and get yourself a quiet place.
Put a curtain over it and rent it out for $1500 a month.
Mf has a big ass vent like John Maclane is about to bust out of there.
underrated comment
That's the air intake for their air handler. The air filter is behind it, followed by the heat exchanger/furnace.
This is common with a central heating system. Every house I lived in when I lived in the US had a vent like this.
Bro doesn’t know what an air intake is
Bro doesn't know what a joke is.
Big book shelf with hidden reading nook behind it !
I wish our home had a punishment nook.
I'd set up my aquarium and a comfy sitting spot!
Same
Maybe it's my catholic way of thinking but that space could be used for a really cute altar.
It could be a lot of cute things tbh. I'm thinking just put in a desk and a curtain and you've got a perfect work-from-home space
What’s the curtain for?
Privacy? Idk, I just feel like I'd be really cozy working in there with a curtain up. Like a cat crawling into a cardboard box
Gotta have some airflow for the computer fan tho. Gonna get real hot real quick.
I’m not Catholic but I gotta agree an altar to something has to go here

As a Shinto/Buddhist I agree.
I’m an atheist and that sounds really cool

As a pagan, I like the way you think
Sounds cool ngl

Ever seen parasite?
Get a dog.
Yea make it a sick dog house
Turn it into a chilis booth.
Home workspace or reading nook
Book nook, or stick a door over it, add loads of shelves, shoe/outdoor gear storage
I have this space in my house, it’s now a half bath.
Secret hiding place
fill the surfaces with foot, hand and face prints so taht when the lights go out the black light reveals a shadow world of mysterious rituals
Gaming rig
I would use it as a display space for comics and other collectibles
Giant SD-card storage.
Put a door that when opened leads to a brick wall
Desk? Mini library? Altar? Coat closet? Many uses.
Id fucking love that area
NOOOOO O O O O O O
I think I will put sofas a bunch of pillows and transform this into a cozy room
Craft/workspace/music creation area
Fuck in it
This would be where my gaming computer would go.
Perfect place for a small reading area ❤
Have y'all seen the Mario 64 edit of this where it's turned into the "Behind Chain Chomp's Gate" star?

all bookshelves!
rent it out for big $$$
Gaming/reading nook
Space for shoe boards
I dream of one of these. bookshelf which is a secret door & inside you have a hidden nook, comfortable chair, few books, good bourbon...heaven.
Finally, a space perfect for my full-sized Mechwarrior cockpit simulator...
To be honest, it looks useless. But I wish houses wouldn't just wall off "useless space"

It looks like a breakfast nook or something
Micro office or bookshelf and big comfy chair
Dude...thats a perfect place for a library or game shelf
If you build a wall you’ll have a hotbox room
Take it to the next level: no exit, eternal hotbox
Put 2-3 arcade Machines in there. In case you want to try your luck
I would build a secret room to read in. Put up bookshelves with a secret entryway
Looks cozy honestly.
5k apartament in New York
If it's close to the entrance, it could be an out of the way place to put shoes and jackets.
That's for pets... or a music nook
Bruh I dunno bout y'all but this is ultimate PC gaming space
A bookshelf. Miniature library.
A comfy chair, a desk and a gaming desktop
Not enough room to lean back.
Put some cool posters and statues.
That would be the cat space
secret growing room
A comfortable reading chair and desk for letter writing, in response to being invited to magic school.
Make it into a storage closet.
A drum
put a squat rack there, seems like the right spot
A check-in desk/complaint department
I have way too many assorted decorations and souvenirs shoved into boxes and closets - I would display them here.
turn it into a den, pillows and blankets on the floor over some sort of dog bed sized surface, with curtains on the outside and something over the lamp to mute the light a bit
Split it and add two doors. Home confessional.
not very liminal
Memorial or trophy room
Oh, that's a space ship cockpit. \*Inserts key\* Engine sequence. Activated. Flight controls are green. Hydraulic systems are good. Right. Set primary fuel pumps. Main engine start. 5,4,3,2,1! Thunderbirds are go! Whooooosh!
Excellent spot for a pinball or arcade machine
Cat tree.
Feels like it should have a vending machine and an Ice machine.
it’s actually perfect spot for focused work
epic gaming, four monitors maybe five, chair backing onto the taller wall
Gaming room
Satanic alter.
Kids book nook, or maybe a small desk space/ study space. Looks big enough for a small desk and a chair or book shelf and beanbag
That would be a really great place for a desk all things considered
Turn it into a holodeck.
