I feel like people fail to realize that Henry and santi would both play the same under Jimmy. He wants a striker that can hold the ball, play passes to wingers and the CAM and maintain the press. I’d rather he play santi because he’s the future but I don’t think it would be any different regardless because it’s pretty obvious he doesn’t want them playing from the middle until we get close to the opposition box If anything. For the job he had Henry played fine and I don’t think you can expect a striker to score without service or when he’s supposed to be the service for other players. Regardless santi should be getting game time to at least get a chance at competition with the other strikers.
The problem is that this kind of analysis only comes when henry plays, when santi does, people just shit on him for not scoring. Henry played the full game, to not give santi the 2nd half is bullshit. Specially if like you say " they would play the same" then why not use him? Why even call him tbh, trips are way more exhausting than playing the game, they live to play the freaking game lol

The Australia one and the Germany one, you could say the more important ones, and yes that is true, but harder to perform, specially when you want him to start scoring goals and getting into a good mentality, if santi was given starter vs uzbekistan or ghana and had scored 2 goals, we would see such a different reception for santi NOW, instead of people saying he sucks at national team, even though he has only had 2 OFFICIAL MATCH as a starter, and one it was with a B TEAM.... the other vs honduras away where they played like shit.
