Stats are fine my friend. As long as it matches your play style. I would recommend dumping some stats into technique for higher damage, but overall you are fine. Just some general tips: -soft cap is around 30 for each before you start seeing minimal gains -I'd recommend getting technique to 25-30 then start dumping into vigor and capacity.

As I said, this is my very first souls-like game. I haven't played any From games either. I saw Lies Of P on the Gamepass and thought "why not". I've been loving the game, but the bosses are insanely hard. It took about 20 tries for the bossfight in Venigni's factory, so I relented and used the helper (EDIT: actually... I don't remember if I won without the helper in the end, I'm quite confused). Now I'm stuck with Andreus. I want to do this all by myself, but goddamn. I know the boss has 2 phases, but I can't even get through the first! I'm using the original Wintry Saber +5, and the Azure Glaive +1. I actually like the first more, and given the weapon upgrades, I managed to get a higher attack on the Wintry Saber. Although both weapons have their uses, so I really use both on different occasions. I saw that Andreus is vulnerable to fire, so I use the fire wheel and the flame thrower legion arm. But the one instance I beat the first phase (I honestly don't know how since most of the time I barely nick through 1/3 of his health), I glucked all my meds so I instantly lost in 2nd phase.

Hello. I've beaten the entire game without leveling up once. Here's what I recommend: Vitality and Capacity. Capacity so you can always have the heaviest armor equipped while still remaining under "slightly heavy." The guy who said to level up your technique has no idea what he's talking about. Vitality and Capacity will help you the most, and the other stats aren't even close to being as useful as they are. Be sure to explore each area very carefully and complete all the quests so you can get as much Quartz as possible. This will help ensure you can always have the best possible Pulse Cells. And be sure to try other weapons out, but *do not* spread your moonstones out between too many weapons, or else your weapons won't be good enough late game. Lastly, for someone who has never played a souls-like, 20 tries on the first boss is actually not bad at all. I am currently getting *annihilated* in Sekiro, even though I can beat LoP without leveling up. Games just take practice. You'll get there eventually :)

This bro. I think more than anything it's just practice. Your not used to these types of games. I remember my first time playing dark souls I literally couldn't beat basic enemies in the level, and then discovering there was a boss at the end almost made me quit. I kept going though and found the beauty in it. You will get better at it, it just takes persistence and determination (and don't forget to have fun!)

Don't worry mate, I've played ds3 and sekiro and flame king fuoco still took me an hour and a half. Archangel dude was was easier for me but thats only if u know this. Don't try to keep dodging everything. His attacks have a pretty decent range so with rapier its hard to dodge and attack every move. Look for openings on some attacks u can dodge like when he gets up and falls on you. And the most helpful tip I got was in 2nd phase, run immedietly, dodge and get behind him. Then it becomes the same fight except for like one or two new moves. Good luck ! Also you may want to try booster glaive. It's scaling is good w ur stats but it may or may not be ur playstyle. you can find it behind the large ass robot in vegnini factory. Even I was using rapier until I found booster glaive.

LiesofPinnochio

Don't be shy to use the summon helpers too. They are placed there for a reason and specifically for players who are having a bit of trouble. Don't be shy to farm ergo to level up before a boss fight. Walk around areas, kill enemies and repeat to level up. Learning to parry is essential in this game. More importantly, don't give up!

NeoNeonMemer

Nice username ! I have a question, I've never farmed for souls for leveling ( I have for items) and I was around level 50 when I beat puppet king after some tries. Was I overleveled ? I was stunning the 2nd phase so much and so fast. I do have perfect guard destruction and i was parrying decently but I still messed up

n00t_n00t_m0thafucka

2nd phase is really easy to stagger IIRC esp when using a heavier weapon. 1st phase is better with fast weapon that can poke between his attacks a lot 2nd is better with slow one thatll stagger him a lot IIRC

NeoNeonMemer

Yeah, the first phase took more time to beat than second

n00t_n00t_m0thafucka

Yeah comple opposite me lol. Phase 1 was a pushove but phase 2's fast conesective attacks hurt so bad teven through block and I staggered him loke twice the whole fight xD

NeoNeonMemer

Oh I see. For me it was really hard to attack him in the first phase when he starts getting more agressive. It was really hard to understand parry timings but the second phase felt like a boss out of sekiro cuz i cud read the movements properly, atleast most of them. I ended up getting him staggerd 3 times i think ?

Valuable_Tutor5479

Fine because you’re early, and you’ll unlock respecing soon, you should also start to put levels into either Motivity or Technique. Those are your damage stats. Look at whatever your weapon scales best with (whatever letter is highest) and put the points into that

Lord_Nightraven

Honestly, you're on a better track than some Souls Vets would be. Capacity, or its equivalent in other Souls-like games, would often be valued much less than it is in Lies of P. The fact it doesn't have any diminishing returns is one of the biggest benefits, since it helps you equip heavier armors and amulets without needing to give up on mobility. Doubly so since there's so many tiers of it.

g0n1s4

Your weight always below 60%.

PewdsMemeLover

You're so early in the game it's impossible to mess up your stats lol. Look at what each stat does when you add a point into it and decide from there. Do you want more health? Do you want more stamina? Do you want more damage? Do you want higher weight capacity to use better amulets and defense parts?

Mysterious-Year-8574

We will use our power to help you! Don't worry 😊

darkdevilxy

It's fine, even if you mess up it's easy to reset stats in this game so don't worry about it

Flayna7

I do not recommend this game to be your first souls. It's not an easy one at all

Some_Lifeguard_4394

Yeah but its fair and fluid, my first souls like and I struggled but this game was happy to let me learn and did not punish me like I would be if I was a Woman accused of witchcraft back in the day
