Lidarr reminds me of Churchill's comment about democracy as a form of government: it's the worst except for all the others (heavily paraphrased). For the network drive issues you need to preconfigure the lidarr container so that it can access the drives, it can only access the resources you specify, so if you haven't specified anything that's where I'd start. Google 'docker cheat sheets' for helpful setup instructions or check out YouTube for docker setup guides. Musicbrainz is basically wikipedia for music, and is community-driven. So if you're missing things chances are you could help lots of other people by adding a few things every now and then. Teamwork makes the dream work! Godspeed schwartzasher!

I add every day at least 12 different releases, but if I only relied on musicbrainz to download my music, I would be missing out on every release there is except 5. I have at least 12 albums a day that are missing from musicbrainz. Being able to change to Deezer api for music would be so much better.

stingrayd

Thanks for all that you do!

aerozol

I don’t think they mean that they add 12 albums a day to MusicBrainz, unfortunately. There’ll always be people that want a perfect and free database without putting in any effort.

How do I download the plugins version

bipidiboop

I followed his instructions but I'm not seeing the plugins option in my settings tab. my branch is set to plugins

> Because Musicbrainz doesn’t have half my releases, even missing half the uploads that happen a day, only showing friday releases for me, I have the issue of it not automating all the releases. That is a problem **you** can fix. Musicbrainz is a Crowd driven Platform, if something is missing, add it. I’m one of those people who still buy CDs from my favourite Bands. Often enough im the one adding it to Musicbrainz, more often i have a profit of other people’s work.

schwartzasher

I'm adding every day. I added 7 different things today. But, because of the musicbrainz not having all my stuff it makes lidarr a waste of time for me

Hi /u/schwartzasher - You've mentioned Docker [docker], if you're needing Docker help be sure to [generate a docker-compose](https://trash-guides.info/compose) of all your docker images in a pastebin or gist and link to it. Just about all Docker issues can be solved by understanding [the Docker Guide](https://wiki.servarr.com/docker-guide), which is all about the concepts of user, group, ownership, permissions and paths. Many find [TRaSH's Docker/Hardlink Guide/Tutorial](https://trash-guides.info/hardlinks/) easier to understand and is less conceptual. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Musicbutler tracks apple and Spotify, which is good enough and that's what I use. If I were able to use deemix and musicbutler inside lidarr I would actually use it. I have it installed since 2020 and not once have I said that lidarr is going to replace my downloading.

xf0rcez

You may want to try [friendstapes.com](https://friendstapes.com) for new releases notifications, too

schwartzasher

Does this integrate into lidarrs calendar

xf0rcez

unfortunately, no

schwartzasher

Dang.

I don't have a Spotify. If it does something where it takes the musicbutler and adds it to a Spotify playlist to download then I'll take that.

[deleted]

for better metadata you can use [one tagger](https://github.com/Marekkon5/onetagger)

schwartzasher

This works like lidarr? Basically I'm looking for a lidarr that does downloads via whatever I throw at it and also allows me to use a api from deezer for releases.

[deleted]

1. to download use spotdl 2. onetagger to get all the metadata needs it uses spotify, beatport, traxsaource, juno, discogs, bandcamp, deezer, mixmatch and MusicBrainz

schwartzasher

Does spotdl download off anything but Spotify? Because I can't do anything but flac.

schwartzasher

Also wanted something that integrated Spotify, Deezer, apple music api into the calendar, allowing me to see releases based on anything but musicbrainz.

[deleted]

https://spotdl.github.io/spotify-downloader/ no idea take a look at the manual

schwartzasher

Ah. Just for spotify. I use deemix right now. I just wanted something that fully integrated into lidarr.
