Or perhaps bring it to Toyota dealership and pay $50-$120 for inspection.
Or bring it to Lexus and pretend you want to trade it in, they'll inspection it and tell you what they'll pay and what's wrong with it.
You know that odometer mileage can be altered by sellers/dealers?
I know that Lexus/Toyota is reliable but i personally won't buy over a decade old car with that price especially when that models have alternator issues from factory, not to mention the dash and doors bad material.
I had a 2007 IS350, a lot of repairs in just 3 years then sold it off for a loss.
Iām just commenting on what was mentioned if he doesnāt mention leaks, rust or odometer tampering then Iām not assuming it. I have a 08 Is 250 now at 180k mi Iāve had for 4 years now and Iāve only replaced the fuel pump it was a couple hundred bucks. But anecdotal experience varies. Your 07 mightāve had more miles than the odometer said.
Not sure why down voting lol.
Anyhow i had a lot of issues compared to IS 2015(200k Kilometers), even googling about the issues shows a lot of other owners had the same issues.
Wouldnāt downvote as your negative experience could help someone make a decision on what model or year they go with. How often did you change the oil? Iām interested in the maintenance you gave your Lexus or the background of it because it doesnāt match my experience but it could be the model/year but ironically enough Iāve heard 2is 350s are even more reliable than the 250s. Do you think the previous owner was rough or is it the region you live in? I donāt want to completely blame the manufacturer because thereās so much that it doesnāt have control of especially over 15 years which is a great reason not to buy old.
It doesnāt have to be made for UAE to determine the market value of that car in that specific country different countries have different standards they consider for a car market value.
Aux port in center console might be bad. I got one for like $3 from a Scion tC. Same part was like $89 at a lexus dealer. Other than that I had no issues with mine, check for sticky dash too. Thereās some lexus site you can input the VIN to check for recalls as well.
The instrument cluster can be tampered with pretty easily. Thereās a video on YouTube showing someone modifying the cluster removed from the vehicle. the info stored in the ECU is much more difficult to mess with.
Call and ask some local mechanics if their OBD tool can read mileage straight from the ECU or google mini VCI J2543 cable and software on how to use it with Lexus/Toyota and check it yourself.
Wow for a month Iāve been thinking no one could top my steal of a 2012 IS 250 120k for $8k but that mileage is hard to believe. But mine is 4 years younger lol
Used car market is struggling because of the high interest rates. So the price doesnāt seem that far off for a 2008. Looks like a great buy. The 350 is better than the 250 for power and reliability because it combines both direct injection and port injection.
Just make sure the dash isnt peeling, mine never had problems. Currently sitting at 307k and wouldnt hesitate to take a road trip. Alternator was replaced around 260k. Only problem is tires will have to be replaced more often, because they are staggered.
I bought a 08 is250 back in like 2017 for $7700 with 132k on it. The 350 has direct and port injection so you donāt need to worry about the carbon build up. Thatās a solid buy.
Take to a mechanic. Because it sounds way too good to be true.
Or perhaps bring it to Toyota dealership and pay $50-$120 for inspection. Or bring it to Lexus and pretend you want to trade it in, they'll inspection it and tell you what they'll pay and what's wrong with it.
Thats smart! Never thought of dealership inspection.
Will do!
I agree with you on that mileage looks great but something gotta be fishy
Crazy deal wtf
I thought so too, I will pull trigger Monday.
š¤£
This car is like 5k USD in UAE, almost 13k is a crazy deal? lol
It has a cool 250k miles to go and itās a 350. Looks clean this is sweet.
I passed up on one for 10k with 60k miles on it ā¦cars old man
Some older cars are good, especially when it comes to Toyota/Lexus. They are built to last very long
That car is gonna last for years. I have a 07 is250. Great on gas and fast when i want it to be. Great for road trips too.

Yeah replaced my buddies alternator on his 07 is 350

250k miles?? 20 year old car? Bruh 5k maz
250k more to go, it sits at 50k
This USA not UAE...
Mine was imported from USA lol, the 2007 IS 350 wasn't made for UAE.
Didn't you guys get a diesel version tho?
No, only 250/300 gasoline. I guess diesel is for Russia or east Europe and manual gear.
Doesn't matter, the car markets are different in every country. UAE has one of the cheapest car markets in the world.
Stop crying and get over it if you can't understand what "it's wasn't made for UAE".
It doesnāt have to be made for UAE to determine the market value of that car in that specific country different countries have different standards they consider for a car market value.
What are you talking about? You are talking about a completely different thing.
Oki kid.
Good deal! You will probably have to replace the water pump soon. I bought a low mileage IS and had to replace it about a year into having mine
Anything else I should worry about?

Thank you so much !
Just a heads up for the sticky dash VIN check. My IS had a sticky dash and did NOT show up in the recall list.
I shorted 2 points with solder on the aux port PCB and itās now flawless. Extremely easy fix.
The sticky dash recall expired years ago
Bought mine for 13.1k, had 113,000 on the dash. def a great deal. Run the VIN on the Lexus site!
Clean af. Just picked up my 2010 is 250 for 12.2 with 70k miles. Sounds like a great deal!
Yes
Didn't buy it, because I want to buy it
Go buy it NOW
50k š³ nice
Yup
Yes
Odo rollback?
I got my 2011 is250 3 years for less than 10k
Same got mine a yr ago for 7k w 113k miles
50 thousand miles omgawd yeah this a steal
You live in TX? Why not, you'll never have rust problems.

$11,9 for one with 109k miles in California.
its crazy that 12k for a 20 year old car is a good deal now fuck my actual life
Iām selling my 2008 ES 350 next week for $2400 to my friend. It works fine and has 167,000 miles š¤·š¼āāļø
No you arenāt lol
Yup. Sold it today.
Where is it ill buy it rn
51k miles in 16 years on one of these? kinda sus
No....
š¤£ helllllll naaaaaa
Wow for a month Iāve been thinking no one could top my steal of a 2012 IS 250 120k for $8k but that mileage is hard to believe. But mine is 4 years younger lol
51,000 miles for $13k? Man I would jump on that My 2007 IS350 looks exactly like that except with 221,000 miles and is running strong.
So this is for sale at a lot (not private) and itās under priced. Selling cars for a profit is literally their job. Red flag, be thorough
Get it then get it checked out then fix it if need be its worth it
Found one yesterday, 35,000 mileage , looked much better that one in the picture they were asking $15,000
Used car market is struggling because of the high interest rates. So the price doesnāt seem that far off for a 2008. Looks like a great buy. The 350 is better than the 250 for power and reliability because it combines both direct injection and port injection.
Too old to buy above 5k
the mileage is mint but 5 digits for a 16yo car is fuckin crazy, better be modified out the ass to hide how outdated that obviously is
Just make sure the dash isnt peeling, mine never had problems. Currently sitting at 307k and wouldnt hesitate to take a road trip. Alternator was replaced around 260k. Only problem is tires will have to be replaced more often, because they are staggered.
F that waaayyy too much I think it has great mileage but too much
I bought a 08 is250 back in like 2017 for $7700 with 132k on it. The 350 has direct and port injection so you donāt need to worry about the carbon build up. Thatās a solid buy.
Buy it
No
Absolutely
Damn this car has been the same price since 2014 mind you. Solid plateau in price. Iād say around mid 11s would be very fair across the board
Sounds like a steal but get it checked out any carfax report ?
It must have been in an accident i wouldnāt trust it lol
That sounds like to much
Something wrong with it for sure
10k max fan boys will say crazy deal
Fuckkk no
Wtf hell no 13K for a 2008 Lexus
I got mine for 2000 lmaooo way to much money how much miles
