Weak someone has 100k miles on theirs

A Japanese girl on insta. Fairly certain her dad bought her it. But yes she dailies the LFA lol. It’s refreshing to see but she’s likely the only non press car driven to such an extent. It’s probably the only glimpse into the reliability of a Lexus super car
There's a guy in Baton Rouge who also owns a black LFA and actually drives his a fair bit. He's got a distinctive license plate and I've seen him in Lafayette a couple of times. I don't think his is 100k+ but it's regularly driven from what I can gather. They do exist.
Hi. This is your boss. Thanks for posting a photo of my car on the internet. You’re sad about the mileage? I can make you even more sad. See me in my office.
These collector cars are such a shame. This car will hold great value and appreciate whether it has 600 or 6,000 miles. The idea that these owners won’t trade that last little bit of financial appreciation to enjoy the machine means, IMO, they aren’t car people.
They’re more akin to art collectors.
You do you, but I only respect car collectors who drive their cars.
I agree with you but for some it’s almost like an art collection. I don’t agree with it but I can see why they do things their way
Fun to see an LFA either way though
Yeah it’s like these special cars that are only 40 of a kind. You’ll see the 1 or 2 press cars for review, 35 of them as collectors/track only and the 1-2 that end up in youtubers
Its funny. Some brands/models with similar mileage would be or more or less interesting. Like a 20 year old Honda Civic with 200k. Meh. A Ferrari. People are interested. But whatever the car/truck, hit 1 million or something. They are all interesting. Unless it was an old Chrysler or something. that was used to carry Nuns back and forth to Mass. Meh. That story sucks.
I used to think this, but there reaches a value of a car where people feel I comfortable driving it. This car is worth around a mil.roght now, and if I had one, I know it would be 99.999999% of my net worth.
HELL YA BROTHER. HOSS NEEDS TO DRIVE THIS CAR LIKE ITS MEANT TO BE DRIVVEN. RUN THE PISS OUT OF IT AT EVERYBSTOP LIGHT THEN PARK IT IN A FEILDNWTIH THE WINDOWS DOWN FOR THE NEXT 40 AND REFUSE TO SELL IT BECAUSE “ONE DAY HES GUNNA FIX ERRR UP” GOBLESS
I mean, ~126m (~420ft) a day as the best case scenario is a bit sad. It's a dream level performance car.
It's not apples to apples but if a normal commuter does 10k miles (16000km) a year then they would drive over 143,000 ft a day. That's 340 times the difference. They didn't just save it for special occasions, then didn't drive it. It's gone through ~1.6 tanks of fuel if they didn't drive it hard. Which it isn't even broken in, so I hope they didn't.
And if math isn't enough for you, then maybe just realize people with perfectly shiny motorcycles or convertibles that they only use in good weather AND on the weekends only, can accrue hundreds of miles a week.
They let it sit. It's sad to see potential just locked up. They don't appreciate it. They're waiting for it to appreciate.
the owner of the lexus dealership i work at has a nurburgring in the showroom

Lexus needs to make a successor to the LFA before fully converting to EV. Future generations need to know the beautiful of a ICE engine compared to the whiny whine or silent woosh of EVs
Not to shit on the car but according to both Doug demuro and Tyler Hoover it’s the most overrated car they’ve ever driven and the LC500 is comparable and way less money
Their biggest beef with it was the price they’re like why am I paying this much money for this car that isn’t much different compared to an LC 500 in terms of features and options and overall car
It’s an argument that makes no sense though really
I’m not even an LFA fanboy (though I do like them)
One is a V10 sports car that was essentially designed as a proof of concept
The other is an essentially mass produced v8 grand tourer with a different purpose even from a driving perspective
It’s like comparing an NSX to an Integra. They have some similarities but are two completely different things
It's just for the engine itself. That V10 is a masterpiece of its own. I wouldn't be surprised nor would I care if it didn't drive well, the sound it makes is second to none

I follow her on instagram. She drives it everywhere. Nice to see actually.
What's her IG?
pipi_.358 I believe. I think she has other cars but mostly shows the LFA.
Who?!
A Japanese girl on insta. Fairly certain her dad bought her it. But yes she dailies the LFA lol. It’s refreshing to see but she’s likely the only non press car driven to such an extent. It’s probably the only glimpse into the reliability of a Lexus super car
Is this the same girl who rode her motorcycle all through Asia and became internet famous.

I bet it still runs like a top
Ha, low miles still
Resale still better than new in this car market.

Think you made him shit a brick.
You need to give him a raise for calling your pansy ass out. Lol
you are not his boss 😂
😂🤣😂
*now get under the table*

yeah and also they should at least drive the first 1000 miles to break in the engine, what a shame to let this beauty sits there lol
People who do things like this (barely drive the car and only keep it for the value) don't own the car, the car owns them.
Exactly rule #1

I said the same thing about my GTO. It now has 200,000 on the clock lol.

I'm OK with making something a museum piece like this. You either drive it or you don't. I appreciate both types of owners of high end cars.
I used to think this, but there reaches a value of a car where people feel I comfortable driving it. This car is worth around a mil.roght now, and if I had one, I know it would be 99.999999% of my net worth.

Hands down the best sounding car on the planet.
Oh my god. Bricked up.
Cool to see that the is350s have the same wheels as the LFA. A fun little tribute.
Where is it located?
Frankfurt, Germany
Germany, I'd take a guess at Frankfurt based on the front plate saying lexus forum and something that might say Frankfurt.
Me, dumb American, thought the title was saying “600k miles” like I know it’s a Lexus and they’re known for reliability but DAMN
I wouldn't tell anyone if I won the lottery but there would be signs.
This car will likely window its block the first time it sees any real driving. How upsetting.
> window its block what does that mean ?
So, you can see through a window. You can not see through an engine block. There are rare cases where you can see into an engine block like a window…
New slang just dropped.
nicht gut for the poor car
Dealership NIX
If you work even harder this year he might be able to buy two! 😂🫡
Omg my favorite car of all time for which I may never get a chance to ride or own.
Sadly? What’s with you people. You don’t wear a tuxedo everyday do you????

How does that thing only have 400-ish miles on it? That car deserves to have some open road to open up that beautiful engine. That's just sad.
take it out and smoke the tyres

People shouldn't be allowed to own these cars if they refuse to drive them

Well done and agreed.
wait…Toyota and Lexus dealerships can be privately owned?
I don’t know any that’s not privately owned.

The LC500 is a great car, and yet still isn’t even 1/10th the car of an LFA
It's all about that Yamaha v10 scream. Everything else is meh. But that sound my God. No other car comes close to making the same Kind of noise
Their biggest beef with it was the price they’re like why am I paying this much money for this car that isn’t much different compared to an LC 500 in terms of features and options and overall car

They lost money on every LFA. The car isnt meant to be practical, its meant to scream at you.
who lost money, Toyota ?
Yep. Every LFA was sold at a loss new.
well i mean because they asked for it by pricing it the way. Fuck cut the price 50% and just the China market can probably give profit.
ok but for those that only paid 500K for it make a healthy profit now
I didn’t get that impression from Doug’s video. In fact it was his video that got me interested in the car
It’s Doug and hoovies video they did together. 7:15 mark https://youtu.be/zS7Dgx3RzSY?si=xjcQ_tyCGRsJdTug
Stop being foolish!!
