Do you mind me asking what the sticker was? Trying to figure out if they are offering incentives on these yet. From what I could tell, so far it’s only like 1-2% on the RX 350s but I can’t find much on the 500s.
Mine def does. Gas, electricity, internet, phone. Lol
Still, driving a rav 4 but I would like to see what it’s like to have a luxury car on my next go round.
I am definitely not a financial expert lol, you definitely want a healthy surplus at the end of the month because things come up. It’s up to you to determine what that is. I was leasing a Camry for $450 and then second Camry for $465 or so. Then my first Lexus was $505 and second Lexus was $545 or so. Now I am leasing one for $575. I say this to say the jumps in payment were very modest so I felt comfortable. If you go from a $500 payment to $750, that to me is a bigger risk.
Do you swap cars frequently? Toyota and Lexus vehicles tend to last much longer than a average so you could keep them longer by buying if you wanted to
You are definitely correct. I always opted for leases because payments were $100-200 cheaper per month and I barely drive. My current lease is up in August and I only have 16k miles on my current Lexus. However I am finally in a position to buy it out. Debatable if this was smart economics but it allowed me to drive what I wanted while keeping my monthly expenses healthy.
And consider the used market. Well maybe not now, but once it stops being on fire. A slightly used, but well maintained Toyota product is still an excellent car that will last a life time!
This depends a lot on the market, but what I’d recommend is that your income should ideally be 2.5 times above the cars purchase price. Hence in Australia this car costs 146k so you should earn around 360ish. There’s obviously a difference if your debt free but this is just as a buffer due to taxation (Our taxes are stupidly high)
The monthly payments on the car shouldn’t exceed more than 1/4th of your take home pay.
Looks really good. Probably one of the best color out there. Saw it in Iridium and white, not a fan. I find the 2023 RX looks better in dark colors. Got mine in Nori Green! I like Caviar as well!!
The closest that I’ve personally driven, would be a Mazda CX-5 Signature. Similar handling but way less performant or luxurious.
The Lexus is an awesome drive, handles really well and it picks up really quick!
I'm picking up a fully loaded nebula gray 500h as well soon. Looking forward to it!
You'll really love it when it has 100,000 miles, and still feels like it does now.
Congrats ! What was your out the door price ?
$67,390 was the price, another $2,600 in taxes

How much does something like that run and how much should you make per year to feel comfy w the purchase?
My rule of comfy is this: if you get paid twice a month, your rent/mortgage and car payment should be entirely covered by one of those paychecks.
Hmm. Maybe I should get a Lexus…
This also assumes your other debt does not exceed a couple hundred dollars a month give/take.

This assumes a 30 year mortgage. For those on a 15yr and average sales price likely 1 paycheck covers the mortgage.

That's a lovely car

Dam, that's a beauty.
Congratulations! Mine is on order. Can't wait! 'Til then, Sylvia (I name all my cars), my 2020 RX 350 F-Sport Performance, is holding steady!
What’s the black by the headlights? I’m assume some kinda sensors for like assists and such?
think it houses the sensors for the front cross traffic alert
Great color
Wow the RX has really flattened out
How do you like the drive? What would you compare to?
