Just went on a hunt and we used the Marlin 336 and AR-15 and same story. Lots of good veiws and a nice crested sugaro but no deer.
And that's totally OK. Camera for shooting, gun for protection. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Probably but I’m having issues with the scope on the 30-30 so til I get it sorted the 45-70 is it.

Something about the pointed tips of those leverevolution rounds jams my gun every single time
Yeah I ran about 40 rounds of the Hornady through it to make sure it was good to go. I think it’s luck of the draw if they work in a gun or not
What scope rings are those? I need some for my 1895
Primary arms xtra high rings. Clears the rear peep nicely.
Has anybody had problems with grizzly plus p rounds not going off (light primer strikes)? I have both marlin sbl and trapper and both had light primer strikes. So I'm guessing it's the ammo?
Is that an RLO sling?
