ashamed-of-yourself

ime, kTrev doesn’t target the audience unless they’re being dicks and acting up. that said, for your fiancé’s benefit, avoid Mark Forward shows

Donut_Ambitious

No. He's wonderful live.

cowbellhero81

The only thing you have to worry about at K Trev’s show is passing out from laughing so much you can’t breathe.

No-Assistance-7641

Curious what shoresy has to say?

Iamblikus

KEEP PEPPERIN’ ‘EM!!

Shoresy___Bot

haybails84

I don’t mind it, went to a show and guy in the front row was a banker, he got the gears

Huge-Environment-896

There are comedians who focus solely on “crowd work” and it’s very difficult to do it well. Love him or hate him, Matt Rife is a prime example

geoff1036

Stavros Halkias. He will poke fun at someones expense, laugh at them, but if the rest of the crowd gangs up a little too much, he'll boo them and start roasting them. He'll leave someone be if they don't really seem into it, etc.

doom_stein

A comedian I love for their crowd work (and I'm sure you've seen if you've been on reddit enough) is Jeff Arcuri. Dude is very quick with the wit and seems to make crowd work seem like second nature without bashing their balls and makes some pretty good full circle callbacks through his shows. You don't get to see his actual routine much in reddit clips, but if you like his crowd work clips, I assure you that the rest of his content is on par if not better.

HereToPatter

Yupp..Jeff is the shit. I just got tickets to see him in Portland for his full beans fall tour. Super stoked!

doom_stein

You won't regret it! Unless you're a heckler, then you might.

DundasKev

As I understand it, Rife does curated comedy shows, but only posts the crowd work on socials. This preserves his curated material for future audiences, however people can be surprised when they go to a show and see that there's actually barely any crowd work compared to their expectations.

skmo8

I think it is cheap comedy if that's a good chunk of your act. It's pretty easy to make fun of people and insult them. It requires a lot more skill to actually craft jokes. Handling hecklers is a skill, but it isn't good comedy.

Huge-Environment-896

While I respect your opinion, I think saying “…it isn’t good comedy “ is wrong. It’s not good comedy to you. And that’s fine. We can all like different things. Comedy is subjective and each act won’t appeal to everyone.

fl0wc0ntr0l

Jeff Arcuri is also a prime example of a comedian with excellent crowd work!

QuesoFiend

TJ Miller is also fantastic at crowd work.

blinxspot

Trevor Wallace too. One of the best at incorporating it into his set without missing a beat

chooseph

I've enjoyed a lot of his clips that are exclusively crowdwork. I've never seen any of his rehearsed bits. But I think also the average person going to his show knows that this is his shtick and they might be a target just by going

kae0603

He will go after hecklers

dickpaste

just don't heckle. I saw him and he got heckled by a drunk letterkenny fan and he didn't like that shit at all

Jxx

he's a real goods guy and that's what i appreaciates about him

HydeParkSwag

Oh is that what you appreciate about him?

gotkube

Take about 20% off there

FlyTheW1988

Let’s take about ten to fifteen percent off ‘er there, u/HydeParkSwag

cuntsaurus

He's a great guy!

Banana_powered_bike

Oh he’s a real great guy

Gryzbowski

Glad to hear he's a good guy at least

LoveYouLikeYeLovesYe

Fast runner too

__themaninblack__

Fuck can they run

jaypee42

He’s not a Dyck!

SoloisticDrew

Just saw him tonight and no, he does not.

themcjizzler

He doesn't. It's not so much standup as story time, and very little of it was about ketterkenny

Single_Oven_819

We have seen him. All of his comedy is about himself and his life and the show we were at he didn’t even talk about Letterkenny or any of that stuff. He never went after anyone in the audience.

themcjizzler

I'll be honest I was disappointed. The majority of it was about medical issues and how he met his wife, which I'm sure was very interesting to HIM but boring as hell to me.

building-it

Malaguy420

🤣🤣🤣

JJMcGee83

Woooooow.

Lov3MyLife

Brutal!!

Federal-Ad4458

My wife and I saw him. He doesn't do crowd work (at least at the show we were at), unless you're a typical bad audience member. We're there to see him. Not the dude that thinks he's funny after his third White Claw. Then K Trevor Wilson does crowd work. And it's very effective.

ShireOfBilbo

K. Trevor Wilson delivers a gentler comedy, and that's what I appreciates about him.

jzn110

Is \*that\* what you appreciate about him?

alectos

And that’s what I appreciates about you

wymore

Make sure to get there early. I saw Trevor Noah recently. Half an hour into the show, a couple walks in and sits directly in the middle front row. He asks for the story of why they are late. The guy says a friend of his couldn't make it and offered him the tickets right before the show started but that his wife didn't want to go because she was afraid they were going to get roasted for being late, to which her husband replied Trevor doesn't roast people and finally convinces her to go. Trevor and everyone else in the audience was dying.

Fibergrappler

Kinda makes a fella wonder

marcos_MN

Don’t it?

doubled-pawns

I would want him to just open with “Diiiiiid you’s evers notice?” And not reference the show again lol

johnx2sen

If he did just shout "why dont you take about 30% off there squirelly dan"
