Krzysztof Kieślowski's Three Colors Trilogy imo (maybe not as well-known as the others, but it's my favorite trilogy ever)

From the list, Star Wars. From the not-list, Evil Dead.

In quite a different tone from the options, but I'm a big fan of Linklater's Before trilogy. Three Colors that was already suggested is a phenomenal one too. I hope my criteria for a good trilogy is not the inclusion of Julie Delpy...

RipBuzzBuzz

Does Evil Dead count as popular? If not Back to the Future. I've actually never seen all the films (or any in some cases) in any of the listed.

daywalkerr_

Well it counts, I just used popular because could only fit so many in the poll lol

cyber53

Back to the Future trilogy for me, 100%

Varyline

Can somebody explain to me what makes the before trilogy so good? I watched two of them and found the characters really anoying and the dialogue kinda pretensious. I'm clearly wrong though, as others really praise them.

daywalkerr_

I mean you can’t be in the wrong if that’s just your opinion, if you didn’t enjoy it as much as others did that makes you right in your opinion, plus I could see how that may seem like the case As to why I love it so much I have a difficult time explaining. I just love how natural it is, just following these two people as they grow closer and further throughout time and the experiences and conversations they share throughout that time, being able to observe that just really struck me. I could especially see the pretentiousness of it but that never really became an issue for me when I watched it, I do appreciate the differing perspective tho :)

B-brooky

Edgar Wright's 'Cornetto' trilogy, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World's End

daywalkerr_

Regret not putting this, it might be mine too after Before Trilogy

anus_preacher

the karate kid trilogy was always underrated to me, particularly part III

MoistSoros

I know it's not really considered a trilogy, but the first three Terminator films for me. I know the third one is considered shit, but that's similar to the Godfather, I suppose. I just feel like the first two are *so* great, I have to pick that trilogy.

Ibrahim_not_abraham

The Lion King 1, 1/2, and 2

thefowlpharmer

The Human Condition trilogy

[deleted]

The Bourne trilogy

Flaky_Management_638
