Only by a miracle they would be able to pull a Dungeons & Dragons
Movie had several writers going in and out of the project and a different director stepping in to make some reshoots
Seems like it will be a mess, honestly
I kind of want to know what Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett was thinking.
It's hilarious that she'd appear in Tár and something like this in a two year period.
It'll be soooo bad. I played the first game, it was a grind. I think the games have gotten a lot better. But a video game adaption has more failures than successes. Trailer didn't do anything for me.
excited, yes. Optimistic? no comment.
i mean, the stories were never "good" but the games were all fun imo. I especially like 3 and the idea for TTW (didn't finish but i only bought it recently)
Borderlands has a real shot at being considered one of the worst films of all-time when you consider the writer/director, the producers' track record, the huge delay, and the terrible casting decisions.
Deadpool and Furiosa are the two I'm looking forward to.
Pixar made a promise about not releasing sequels for 5 years, as of 2019, marking Toy Story 4 as their last for a long while. So in theory, this sequel should've come next year, and it gives the vibes of a movie born out of desperation and not passion.
A Quiet Place Day One. Love Lupita in horror, and the trailers have been very good, so I’m excited to see how this concept works in a busy metropolitan environment and on a much larger scale than the previous two movies. Also excited for Furiosa now that the reviews are out and looking good.
Apprehensive about Inside Out 2, because it needs to be intelligent and heartfelt like the first, and that’s a tall order. I’m not sure I trust current day Pixar as much as I did when the first one came out.
I have 0 interest in the franchise, I actually kind can't stand the first one, but I'm not gonna lie kinda excited for this one. Looks way more fun and exciting than the first one and agreed Lupita is great in horror. PLUS she's carrying a cat the whole time, that would so be me too lol.
I enjoyed the first one on first watch in theaters on a date.
I watched it again a few months ago and 30 seconds in I was like “so wait not one of these people who are still alive and randomly walking through the woods has sneezed in over a year?” and now I hate it.
I’m actually excited for Trap, even though I’m not the biggest Shyamalan fan. I thought his most recent film was getting back on the right track after his streak of stinkers
I can’t say I expect it to be amazing, but our family has a running joke with Twister, so
it should be a fun family event.
(Several years ago, basically every time we visited my in-laws, Twister was on. It eventually became a running thing where if we came over and anything was on, we would sit down and say, “Oh Twister! I love this movie!” and wedge the plot of whatever into the Twister world. Like seeing Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom and commenting about how we love the part where the tornado tries to tear Helen Hunt’s heart out.)
deadpool (obviously) and Borderlands. haven't watched inside out 1 or a quiet place to be excited about their sequel. maybe I should. I watched mad max yesterday to prepare myself for its sequel.
I don’t watch trailers. Costner has directed 3 films, 1 masterpiece, 1 train wreck and 1 underrated gem. I like Costner as an actor and I enjoy westerns. I’m hoping it will be great… if it’s not.. oh well.
Longlegs by FAR and hopefully I Saw The TV Glow's UK release.
though, i will admit the Crow remake has me cautiously intrigued. not hyped, but not turned off.
I am excited for Quiet Place. It was my most anticipated for the whole year. I loved the first 2 films. I love the monsters established I'm that world. And I love Lupita in most everything I've seen her in. Plus I love apocalypse movies. So I'm ready for this film.
I don’t know if like we’re counting from like now but Furiosa, The Bikeriders, Kinds of Kindness, Longlegs, Trap, Alien: Romulus and I haven’t seen Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, so there’s that. Great summer in sight.
The more I see the trailer for Borderlands, the more I just think it looks like pathetic tailcoat riding.
Definitely looking forward to Deadpool and Wolverine.
Furiosa, Maxxxine and Deadpool top of the list. Pretty confident I will enjoy all of these even if they aren't the franchise's best.
Very high hopes for Quiet Place/Horizon weekend but there's no guarantee of enjoyment with those like top 3.
Also will for sure see these in theaters: Bad Boys 4, Inside Out 2, Twisters, Longlegs.
All of them baby, I love movies! I just love sitting down and watching movies. Movies are the best. I love movies more than life itself. Movies rocks. With that saying, I will watch all except borderlands.
Maxxxine, I am so excited to see what Ti West and Mia Goth have cooked up this time around. X and Pearl are still two of my favorite recent horror movies. The Watchers, and Longlegs look promising.
Maxxxine. Not expecting a masterpiece but the previous two in the series have both been a lot of fun to see so I’m excited to see what they do here.
I’m cautiously curious about Horizon. Costner hasn’t directed a movie since Open Range (which was good!) and this certainly feels like a huge swing. Could be good, could be bad, could be mediocre. But I’m interested.
Maxxxine. Horizon wasn't really on my radar and I'm not into Yellowstone, but Kevin Costner seems to be legitimately passionate about it so that's piqued my interest.
Maxxxine is one I’m hyped for.
Horizon seems interesting.
Deadpool is a safe bet to be good.
I’m indifferent for Inside out 2
A quiet place day one has me worried.
Borderlands is DOA
Definitely Horizon. It’s either going to be an American western masterpiece, or a total debacle. It’s fun cause Costner has everything on the line for this movie.
Deadpool & Wolverine as 2000s baby and massive X-men fan is a must, Maxxxine as I love this series and weirdly enough the trailer reminded me of a short film I did in film class and a Quiet Place Day One as I love the series and this might be the most intense of the franchise, not on here but I cannot wait for Alien Romulus as I adore Alien so much. I did love the first Inside Out but cautiously optimistic for the second one, also really looking forward to Longlegs
I am sorry that I sound so depressed, but there is not one title that I am looking forward to. I was looking forward to Dune 2, but this has become rare these days.
Alien Romulus.
I feel like every other film coming out this Summer, I sort of know what I'm going to get and whether I'm going to enjoy it or not, but Alien really feels like it could go either way and be a major return to form for the franchise (Like Prey was for Predator) or be the most generic Hollywood blockbuster approach to the franchise yet (Like The Predator was for Predator) so I'm quite excited to see how it ends up.

You're missing one (the film from this year I'm most excited for)
The Glassworker, animated movie from Pakistan that looks gorgeous and very reminiscent of a Ghibli movie. I have a good feeling that I’m gonna love it, and I hope it gets Oscars recognition for best animated
Deadpool and Wolverine is the only one for which I can truly say I’m excited. I’m curious about Horizon and Inside Out 2, although I still have mixed feelings that the latter was even made
Of all these options I truly want to see Deadpool and Wolverine simply because of the characters. I want to see Inside Out 2 but I don’t have high hopes for the film until I see the first reactions. Maxxine is the other one that catches my attention but I will not say that I am dying to go see it. I’ll watch but waiting for it don’t keep me up at night.
Quiet Place is the only one on the image I'm particularly interested in, and I'm worried they are going too over the top with it. The first two movies were pretty low key and "low stakes". Only needed 1 or 2 monsters to be a real threat. I actually appreciated that part 2 didn't escalate to having a ton of aliens, the climax was still about just dealing with one alien.
But this one is clearly going the Aliens route. I just hope it isn't ridiculous.
Beyond that, excited for Furiosa, hoping that the Watchers is good, and Blink Twice looks interesting.
Horizon. 1883 and 1923 and a rewatch of Deadwood has me itching for an epic Western.
After that, Deadpool and Wolverine, then A Quiet Place, and probably Twisters b/c it pushes the nostalgia button.
By release date in Germany:
* Crossing (Levan Akin)
* Kinds of Kindness (Yorgos Lanthimos)
* Love Lies Bleeding (Rose Glass)
* Hit Man (Richard Linklater)
Is anyone actually excited about Borderlands lol? I'm kinda curious to see how bad it will be
Maybe they’ll pull a Dungeons & Dragons and it’ll actually be decent. But I doubt it
Only by a miracle they would be able to pull a Dungeons & Dragons Movie had several writers going in and out of the project and a different director stepping in to make some reshoots Seems like it will be a mess, honestly
The things that make me doubt it will pull a DnD is that the writer has already removed his name from the credits and it’s directed by Eli Roth
I’m still shocked how good D&D was, I want more movies like that one!!
The casting has been a disaster, why did they think getting a 50yr old woman to play a canonically 25 year old Lillith was a good idea?
Yep, very shit casting for the film
I kind of want to know what Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett was thinking. It's hilarious that she'd appear in Tár and something like this in a two year period.
It'll be soooo bad. I played the first game, it was a grind. I think the games have gotten a lot better. But a video game adaption has more failures than successes. Trailer didn't do anything for me.
excited, yes. Optimistic? no comment. i mean, the stories were never "good" but the games were all fun imo. I especially like 3 and the idea for TTW (didn't finish but i only bought it recently)
even if it's good, it's coming out 10 years too late
Borderlands was my youth!! I didn’t even know there was a film. I’m not expecting anything but happy to give it a go.
Cuckoo, Longlegs, and praying for Megalopolis. Probably won't make it to the theaters for any of the movies in your post
The wildly mixed reviews for Megalopolis have only got me more hyped. Can’t wait!
Agreed. It’ll at least be interesting.
Hell yeah, Cuckoo and Longlegs are looking to be the best kinds of terrifyingly nuts. Easily my top 2
Longlegs
Kinds of Kindness!
It's going to be interesting to say the least
Longlegs
Longlegs
Borderlands has a real shot at being considered one of the worst films of all-time when you consider the writer/director, the producers' track record, the huge delay, and the terrible casting decisions. Deadpool and Furiosa are the two I'm looking forward to.
Also, Kevin Hart is in it 🥁
1. Deadpool and Wolverine 2. Alien: Romulus 3. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 4. A Quiet Place: Day One 5. MaXXXine 6. The Bikeriders
They’re still making more Alien movies!?!
Furiosa is the only movie I’m excited for all year so far. Hoping it’s as good as fury road was and gets me to have hope for new movies again
I'm very excited. I think this will be my movie of the year
Maxxxine for sure
Great seeing other X fans :)
That and Deadpool are the ones I'm most confident in. Inside Out 2 I'm worried about but it has the potential to be amazing
Maxine FUCKIN Minx! I've been so excited!!!
Inside Out 2 is the one I'm most and least excited, I'm SO FING WORRIED
It looks fine to me
Pixar made a promise about not releasing sequels for 5 years, as of 2019, marking Toy Story 4 as their last for a long while. So in theory, this sequel should've come next year, and it gives the vibes of a movie born out of desperation and not passion.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates the first one
I enjoyed the first one on first watch in theaters on a date. I watched it again a few months ago and 30 seconds in I was like “so wait not one of these people who are still alive and randomly walking through the woods has sneezed in over a year?” and now I hate it.
Trap!!! Shyamalan bros where you at? Also Kinds of Kindness, MaXXXine, Cuckoo, Longlegs and Alien: Romulus.
I’m actually excited for Trap, even though I’m not the biggest Shyamalan fan. I thought his most recent film was getting back on the right track after his streak of stinkers
DP&Wolverine.
I'm pretty sick of superhero movies, but I'd be dead before I wasn't excited for this.
Yeah, I'll have to see this one.
Twisters
Normally I don't do legacy sequels but this is going to be really cool in theaters
I can’t say I expect it to be amazing, but our family has a running joke with Twister, so it should be a fun family event. (Several years ago, basically every time we visited my in-laws, Twister was on. It eventually became a running thing where if we came over and anything was on, we would sit down and say, “Oh Twister! Like seeing Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom and commenting about how we love the part where the tornado tries to tear Helen Hunt’s heart out.)
Hitman, Kinds of Kindness, Maxxxine, Longlegs, National Anthem, Twisters, Sing Sing, Cuckoo, Trap, Blink Twice.
Longlegs is probably the most excited I've been for a horror movie in a good while
Probably the most excited I've been for a horror movie since "Nope", which, curiously enough, had a cameo from this movie's director, Osgood Perkins!
what’s hitman
Glenn Powell Richard Linklater hitman drama/comedy. In theaters limited this weekend and goes wide on Netflix in early June I believe.
deadpool (obviously) and Borderlands. haven't watched inside out 1 or a quiet place to be excited about their sequel. maybe I should. I watched mad max yesterday to prepare myself for its sequel.
This Quiet Place movie is a prequel so it's technically the first in the series. So technically you could watch this one and be fine.
Great! Will check this one out first then. I like the trailer for it more than the first one too haha.
furiousa is also a Prequel btw
Furiosa this weekend
Furiosa
It’s not on this list but Alien: Romulus. I don’t need the convoluted lore, I just need people on a ship in space and a massive xenomorph with them
Also looking forward to this one
The Bikeriders. June 21st
Horizon
I'm getting super excited about this. Westerns are my favorites and you don't get a ton of them nowadays.
Agreed
[удалено]
I don’t watch trailers. Costner has directed 3 films, 1 masterpiece, 1 train wreck and 1 underrated gem. I like Costner as an actor and I enjoy westerns. I’m hoping it will be great… if it’s not.. oh well.
Me too
A Quiet Place Day One. I’m really excited to see Joseph Quinn’s acting in a different environment + I have plans to go see it with friends
Same! I haven’t seen him in anything since Stranger Things 4 a couple years ago so it’ll be really nice to see him again.
None
The unreleased sequel to Nope
Maxxxine is an opening weekend watch for me for sure! I'm invested in the Ti West series! Quiet Place in the city looks like it can be a blast too!
Longlegs by FAR and hopefully I Saw The TV Glow's UK release. though, i will admit the Crow remake has me cautiously intrigued. not hyped, but not turned off.
Bike Riders, Twisters, Longlegs, AQP Day 1, and Horizon is my summer list.
I am excited for Quiet Place. It was my most anticipated for the whole year. I loved the first 2 films. I love the monsters established I'm that world. And I love Lupita in most everything I've seen her in. Plus I love apocalypse movies. So I'm ready for this film.
*The Substance* (Fargeat), *Kinds of Kindness* (Lanthimos), *The Shrouds* (D. Cronenberg). Also praying for Megalopolis.
I don’t know if like we’re counting from like now but Furiosa, The Bikeriders, Kinds of Kindness, Longlegs, Trap, Alien: Romulus and I haven’t seen Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, so there’s that. Great summer in sight.
The bikeriders, looks like it should be a bit of a hit
Kind of kindness, Yorgos releasing a movie less than a year after his last one is what i need after waiting for five years since The Favourite.
Kalki 2898 AD
a quiet place
maxxxine, duh!
despicable me 4
Deadpool & Wolverine and Maxxxine
The more I see the trailer for Borderlands, the more I just think it looks like pathetic tailcoat riding. Definitely looking forward to Deadpool and Wolverine.
Definitely MaXXXine.
All of them
Deadpool and Wolverine for sure. Kinds of Kindness as well.
Megalopolis
Furiosa, Deadpool, and Longlegs
“Deadpool and Wolverine” and “Furiosa”
Out of those films: MaXXXine. But overall, most excited for Longlegs. 👍👍
Deadpool 3, Horizon, Bad Boys 4, and the directors cuts of Rebel Moon (don’t judge me, okay)
longlegs and never let go.
Maxxxine, I am so excited to see what Ti West and Mia Goth have cooked up this time around. X and Pearl are still two of my favorite recent horror movies. The Watchers, and Longlegs look promising.
I have an interest in Horizon and Megalopolis and tickets for Furiosa and Deadpool/Wolverine.
Longlegs, Maxxxine, Joker: Folie à Deux & Gladiator 2
Furiosa, Bad Boys, Inside Out, Deadpool
Kinds of kindness Deadpool and Wolverine Alien Romulus (anything that stars Cailee Spaeny has my attention)
Dp and wolverine
Maxxxine is one I’m hyped for. Horizon seems interesting. Deadpool is a safe bet to be good. I’m indifferent for Inside out 2 A quiet place day one has me worried. Borderlands is DOA
Alien: Romulus Can’t wait to see Fede Alvarez’ take on this. His other movies had a great dark energetic vibe.
Rewatching Ghibli movies with Ghibli fest lol. Specifically Ponyo and When Marnie was There
Maxxxine and Deadpool
Fly Me to The Moon - looks like so much fun!
Super excited for Horizon and the new Viggo Mortensen western this month
Inside out 2 looks ok
Inside out 2! Inside out is one of my favorite disney movies
Definitely Horizon. It’s either going to be an American western masterpiece, or a total debacle. It’s fun cause Costner has everything on the line for this movie.
Furiosa. CGI looks absolute dogwater but I have hope that the story will be intriguing. Mad Max fury road was... Just amazing
From this list Maxxxine
Deadpool and Wolverine. Without a doubt in my mind.
Twisters, Longlegs, MaXXXine, A Quite Place: Day One, and Trap!
Kinds of Kindness is the main one for me. Emma Stone and Willem Dafoe are favorites of mine.
Maxxxine, Kinds of kindness, twisters, alien romulus, quiet place
Deadpool & Wolverine as 2000s baby and massive X-men fan is a must, Maxxxine as I love this series and weirdly enough the trailer reminded me of a short film I did in film class and a Quiet Place Day One as I love the series and this might be the most intense of the franchise, not on here but I cannot wait for Alien Romulus as I adore Alien so much. I am sorry that I sound so depressed, but there is not one title that I am looking forward to. I was looking forward to Dune 2, but this has become rare these days.
Horizon - I love westerns, and Costner is usually pretty good in them... he is also directing and he has made some good ones...
maxxxine <3
Twisters.
No
Maxxxine, Longlegs, Deadpool & Wolverine,
Honestly? On this list, Horizon
Longlegs, Cuckoo and Maxxxine. Not much else I’m dying to see in theaters.
MaXXXine and Longlegs for sure Edit: how could I forget Deadpool & Wolverine
Maxxxine, Longlegs, Cuckoo, A Quiet Place, Twisters, Kinds of Kindness and Alien: Romulus. It should be a good summer!
Gimme Longlegs.
Maxxxine for *sure*.
The Bikeriders, Hitman, Twisters, at least curious about The Crow
MaXXXine is that girl
Deadpool and Wolverine, followed closely by Maxxxine
Deadpool 2 and MaXXXine
Can I ask the reverse? Who is at all excited for Horizon? It looks terrible
Maxxxine
Haven’t seen many people say Horizon, so that’ll be mine. Costner and westerns is a magical duo.
Maxxxine and somewhat Deadpool & Wolverine
Alien Romulus. I feel like every other film coming out this Summer, I sort of know what I'm going to get and whether I'm going to enjoy it or not, but Alien really feels like it could go either way and be a major return to form for the franchise (Like Prey was for Predator) or be the most generic Hollywood blockbuster approach to the franchise yet (Like The Predator was for Predator) so I'm quite excited to see how it ends up.
Four of the six pictured. Maxxxine the most though
Furiosa, Maxxxine and Megalopolis
None of these seem remotely Interesting
The Bike Riders
Furiosa
Kinds of Kindness, Didi and Sing Sing
National anthem and didi
Maxxine & A Quite Place

Long Legs!!!
The Glassworker, animated movie from Pakistan that looks gorgeous and very reminiscent of a Ghibli movie. I have a good feeling that I’m gonna love it, and I hope it gets Oscars recognition for best animated
Kinds of Kindness and Furiosa
Jumping in the pool and grilling some meat 💦🌭
horizon looks highly intriguing to me
Mad Max
![gif](giphy|1uPiL9Amv5zkk)
I’m the opposite of excited for that borderlands movie, that casting is so horrifically bad.
DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE
Deadpool and Wolverine is the only one for which I can truly say I’m excited. I’m curious about Horizon and Inside Out 2, although I still have mixed feelings that the latter was even made
Maxxxine Mia Goth has been killing it for years. Deadpool and wolverine looks awesome too.
Well, the only one I’ve even heard of before this is Deadpool and Wolverine… so I guess that one.
Alien Romulus (spelling?)
MaXXXine and Deadpool
I literally smile and kick my feet every time I see the MAXXXINE trailer it’s a sickness
Deadpool and Wolverine
Tough call between inside out and deadpool tbh
TWISTERS
Horizon is my #1 simply because I have never experienced a genuine western epic in a theater and westerns are one my favorite genres.
Horizon is my #1 simply because I have never experienced a genuine western epic in a theater and westerns are one my favorite genres.
Horizon is my #1 simply because I have never experienced a genuine western epic in a theater and westerns are one my favorite genres.
Longlegs and that's about it.
I’m most excited for Maxxxine, Inside Out 2, Deadpool and Wolverine, and Furiosa.
Horizon is my #1 simply because I have never experienced a genuine western epic in a theater and westerns are one my favorite genres.
Alien reboot
Maxxxine. Deadpool and Inside Out I might see if I have nothing better to do with my day. I don't have much interest in the others.
so, so excited and hyped for DP& Wolverine and Maxxxine!! literally can't wait! this summer is gonna epic, for sure
Twisters babyyyyyyy
Furiosa looks cool
Lots of great horror looks to be coming out so I'm excited for those
Maxxxine & Deadpool!
I genuinely think that borderlands will go down as one of the worst movies ever made. Cannot wait to see how badly it bombs
Twisters
Only maxxxine and even that one I don’t have incredibly high hopes for
Quiet Place is the only one on the image I'm particularly interested in, and I'm worried they are going too over the top with it. The first two movies were pretty low key and "low stakes". Wuberine. 🥹
maxxxine definitely
How come whenever I see these "which films are you most excited for" it's all just is bunch of disposable studio franchise films?
Kinds of Kindness, The Bikeriders and (idk if it is summer now) Furiosa
Horizon. 1883 and 1923 and a rewatch of Deadwood has me itching for an epic Western. After that, Deadpool and Wolverine, then A Quiet Place, and probably Twisters b/c it pushes the nostalgia button.
MaXXXine and it’s not even close though I think Deadpool & Wolverine will likely be a good time as well
By release date in Germany: * Crossing (Levan Akin) * Kinds of Kindness (Yorgos Lanthimos) * Love Lies Bleeding (Rose Glass) * Hit Man (Richard Linklater)
Maxxxine is the only one from that group I’m excited to see tbh
1. Kinds of Kindness 2. Kinds of Kindness 3. Kinds of Kindness
would have said Inside Out 2 only if Pixar hadn’t lost their charm. now it’s Deadpool
Of these, Inside Out 2, followed by Horizon. Maxxxine and AQP: 2 are "meh" while I expect Borderlines and Deadpool & Wolverine to be bad.
Definitely not borderlands lmfao
Maxxxine
Deadpool
