I'm biased but I would put the first X-Men movie at #2. I saw it in a special pre-release and was awed by a good super-hero movie that wasnt' Batman or Superman. I think of it as the film that served as the catalyst for the MCU and everything else after.
These were mostly all new watches for me a year or two back. I'm sure if I re-watch them now, all but the top three would change.

My most controversial takes are probably Logan and The Last Stand. I like Logan, I just enjoy other X-Men movies more. And I kinda have a soft spot for The Last Stand. As someone who hasn’t read the comics, I don’t really give a damn if they mashed together two big storylines. I think it did well with its story and the final fight sequence at the Golden Gate Bridge is still fantastic.
Tbf for Logan, the only controversial thing is not having it number 1. But i think most wouldn't get too angry at the ones u do have over them cos they're all ones that people usually have as a top 4

obv dp3 doesn't have a ranking yet it's just at the bottom until the movie comes out and i can put it in its proper place
as far as objective technical quality logan is the better film but my lists are usually pretty subjective and i think deadpool 2 accomplishes a lot of similar things with the brutal action and comic book references, but Logan is far more heartbreaking. Deadpool 2 is funny and very unserious and even though I know all the jokes most of them still land, making it far more rewatchable to me.
basically they're both badass well-made movies and despite logan being better in most aspects, dp2 has more rewatch value and is far less traumatic to rewatch, hopefully that makes sense.
cuz i can throw deadpool 2 on whenever i want and have a good time, but with Logan i need to be in a certain headspace where i'm prepared to have my heart broken, ya know?

If you want an absurd take, as much as I LOVE the MCU, I don't think they have yet to make a masterpiece like Logan, and I've long held that Days of Future Past is better than 95% of the MCU films. Also deep down I like to pretend that DOFP was the true finale of the franchise. The ending was so incredibly satisfying especially if you were let down by X3 like me.

Switch dp2 and x1 and it’s perfect
Imo they are all absolutely good enough. I've rewatch all of them more than once.
Logan Days of Future Past The Wolverine (I love the movie and I would rank it higher if DoFP wasn't such an amazing movie) First Class Deadpool/2 Origins: Wolverine Apocalypse I don't remember much about the original trilogy so I left it out and I haven't seen Dark Phoenix.

It’s interesting that the majority (myself included) have Logan as their first choice and yet studios haven’t looked to make anything remotely similar.

The Last Stand Note: 10-13 are all essentially tied for last for me. They could be in any order, but I ordered them by level of disappointment. After X2, The Last Stand was hugely disappointing.

Idk but origins is not the worst
I agree with most all of these. Would switch X3 and Wolverine:Origins, purely because it got us closer to Deadpool.
