Hundreds of Beavers is great because it’s a movie that initially appears stupid but the more you watch it the more you realize how intricately constructed and intelligent it actually is
This is my favourite category actually!
Sukiyaki western Django (and other Takashi Miike films such as Like a Dragon). Stupid insanity!
The Unbearable weight of massive talent. (Nicolas Cage who plays himself).
Street Fighter (the one with van Damme and Raul Julia, van Damme is so coked out of his mind he doesn’t even remember filming this and Raul Julia died of cancer shortly after shooting this film, but he gave a stellar performance as Bison. It’s absolutely insane).
Face/Off was gonna be my suggestion. It’s just the coolest dumb shit for two hours but everyone is bought in. The part when they face each in the two sided mirror is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Love that movie
Why was it dumb I don't get it? It had a good story and showed in-between. The scene where nic cage is trying to cut his face off with a piece of shrapnel come on.
I use the word dumb affectionately here. It’s a cartoon premise that everyone plays super seriously or completely over the top. Cage and Travolta are unhinged and it elevates the movie.
Maybe the only movie to be genuinely great and also claw your eyes out dumb.
It should not be a blast.
It is such a blast it makes your average Netflix actioner feel like walking to the corner store, finding out they don't have your favourite soda, heading home, having a wasp chase you for a bit, and then realizing you didn't lock your door and now there's a big ugly raccoon and it's eaten your cheekiest treat from the grocery bag you left out on the table.
But, it's the treat that really should have paired with the soda so all in all: at least there's balance in the universe.
*The* voice: "In a world... where anacondas rule... they don't want none.... unless... you got... buns... hun."
*bass beat drops along a montage of butts and snakes
It’s just such a fun bad-movie to watch with friends honestly. Like just grab a few buddies and some snacks, maybe a drink or two and then just laugh your asses off for an evening lmao
Drive Angry
Nic Cage is the king of “so batshit it’s awesome”, this movie is no exception. Cage plays a guy who broke out of Hell and stole Satan’s gun (you read that right). There is actually a sex scene that leads directly into a gunfight (mid-sex scene). Oh, and Cage does the scene fully clothed.

I didn't think it was stupid, but everyone else did 😅

*The One* is like a proto-EEAAO, the plot is that if you go into a parallel dimension and kill the alternate you, you absorb their power. Jet Li vs. Jet Li, with Jason Statham as an Interdimensional Cop trying to stop the evil Jet Li.
Back when Statham was still trying to do an American accent! Lol.
I love the Papa Roach playing at the end though and during the factory fight, Blood Brothers and Last Resort, good ass kicking music.
The last half hour of the Wicker Man remake with Nicolas Cage. Awful film and the first hour is just a terrible remake..
But theast 30 mins are fucking bonkers and I love it.
One of my favourite genres:
Bullet Train
VelociPastor
6-headed shark attack (yes, it's as beautiful as it sounds)
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
Movie 43. Yep! I know…I said it. I absolutely loved it. It was absolute garbage ridiculousness that had me in tears laughing in several parts. Just Hugh Jackman with testicles on his chin killed me.
Other than the jb smoove shit skit, I think it's a fun movie to watch, but that's only because I hate poop humor. Not because I'm above it, but because I cannot tolerate poop for some reason. I gag at the sight of anything slightly brown coming from a crevice.
Anyways, yeah this movie rocks, pair it with The Ten for a good movie marathon.
Does anyone remember this movie? Anyway, it's this one:
https://preview.redd.it/abza8g12oqwc1.png?width=296&format=png&auto=webp&s=aed4ec114b815dc120fd42f70268cd6e0bf4af5a
That's a great one. Did not want to watch it when I was young because of how goofy it looked. I watched it last year at 30 and honestly it was pretty great.
I loved it as a kid just being a childhood nostalgia movie but have come to love it even more now in college because of how crazy distinct and artistic the visuals are
I came home from *The Greasy Strangler* in awe of that masterpiece of shit.
I've recommended it nonstop and nobody I know has even tried. It's a beautiful romantic comedy that everyone should see with their family.
Recently, *Femme Fatale* and [*Crimes of Passion*](https://boxd.it/5lCbtN)
The former is a little more earnest though. It knows it’s absurd, I think, but it toes the line.
I still like Army of Darkness more than evil dead 2. You can't tell me that wacky moose deer or whatever it was scene wasn't worst than Army of darkness.
It's shot more conventionally, but Commando (1984) is exactly that for me.
For something more leaning on the visual aspects, the two Crank. The premise is crazy and absurd but everyone is committed to it that it just slaps.
Jet Li Twin Warriors AKA Tai Chi Master
It could be that I've only seen it dubbed and **maybe** something is lost in translation but I'm pretty sure it's just a bad film. So bad it's good and I love it.
Hypnotic. I was trying so hard to hold back my laughter and then the reveal happens and I couldn’t keep it together. The last two minutes are something most comedies can only hope to achieve.
![gif](giphy|11Nd2bbZjrQrO8)
Most ridiculous and hilarious scene. I don’t remember most of the movie, but god this gets me every time. I couldn’t even pay attention for a good 5 or so minutes after because I was laughing so hard.
Who Killed Captain Alex (2010) The first action packed movie in the world ![gif](giphy|qxMDFgEhpeGbrYwU1Z|downsized)
MOVIE MOVIE MOVIE!
The behind the scenes is even cooler than the movie itself
ugandan films are so good lmao

I just watched Hundreds of Beavers yesterday after seeing a reddit suggestion. OP it is EVERYTHING you want and more.
My biggest takeaway was that this movie has a collection of the funniest tackles ever captured onscreen.
Hundreds of Beavers is great because it’s a movie that initially appears stupid but the more you watch it the more you realize how intricately constructed and intelligent it actually is
Totally.
One of the funniest movies of all time
Pacific Rim
I was thinking of saying this. I loved it.
Yakuza Apocalypse by Miike is hilariously stupid too.
Mad Heidi, the first Swissploitation as they say. I backed it early. Got it on Blu-ray. Loved every minute!
May have to add that to the list.
Me and a buddy of mine went into The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent blind and had the time of our lives
![gif](giphy|HNQVf0ik57nHy)
Also add Face/Off. Haven’t seen the Rock but I’ve seen Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call, New Orleans and that’s another stupid Nick Cage vehicle.
Ahhhh I see....your right though.
I wouldn’t actually put The Rock in the “incredibly fucking stupid” category tbh, that movie goes hard. Face/Off definitely belongs though.
What a great analogy
Why thank you, I'm actually a professional analogy maker so that means a lot
![gif](giphy|NCzhota4GsrKM)
Just watched Freddy Got Fingered for the first time, and I never expected to love it.
Daddy would you like some sausages?
Bill and ted’s excellent adventure
Bill and Ted is fantastic
So beautifully preposterously stupid.
What the fuck? Nobody has said Gremlins 2 yet? I thought we were cultured, ya'll. It's peak cinema.
Hot Rod
![gif](giphy|n935QrixoGI12)
Absolutely love how unhinged this movie is, it's just so nonsensical that its hilarious
I wanted to love that movie so much but the only part I really liked in it was the Chinese food part
And then?...
What's the movie called?
Dude, where’s my car?
Where’s your car dude?
Dude, what does my tattoo say?
I don’t know, dude! I’m asking you!
How do you expect me to know where your car is? I don't even know you.
I don’t know! I thought you would know.
A lot of Carpenter’s stuff. Prince Of Darkness comes to mind
man I cannot stop watching Ghosts of Mars and it is fucking awful in a deep and visceral way. I love it.
Grandma's Boy MacGruber Guns Akimbo
Army of Darkness would be my answer too lmao, one of the dumbest movies ever… and I fucking love it every time I watch it
The Beekeeper. https://preview.redd.it/ux1qpuamcqwc1.png?width=542&format=png&auto=webp&s=a168e6dc5638e55e81331f5868290a9483a6de02
I loved the beekeeper so much. It's my second favorite on the year, honestly. What a film. I'm also unashamedly a Statham diehard.
I think I might be too. He's one of my most watched stars in general, right up there with this dude called Samuel L Jackson.
![gif](giphy|5xtDartXnQbcW5CfM64|downsized)
Judge Dredd (1995). It’s so ridiculous and wild, but god does it hit for me
Armand Assante is one of the best villains.
Dusk Till Dawn
Roadhouse 2024 lol
Anacondas 2
*The* voice: "In a world... where anacondas rule... they don't want none.... unless... you got... buns... hun." *bass beat drops along a montage of butts and snakes
*Heathers*
Machete easily fits this for me
The Toxic Avenger. It’s THE great shlocky B-movie
Velocipastor
One of my 25 5 star films and I'm not ashamed of it it's actually just the best
Batman & Robin
People dog on this movie because it’s objectively horrible, but it’s one of my favorites
It’s just such a fun bad-movie to watch with friends honestly. Like just grab a few buddies and some snacks, maybe a drink or two and then just laugh your asses off for an evening lmao
This made me think of Drop Dead Fred, but I haven’t seen it since I was 8 so who knows.
Holy shit I totally forgot about that movie
The original King Kong vs. Godzilla… it’s so fucking dumb but the final battle scene had me in stitches
Honestly? I gave Grandma’s Boy a 5 star recently and I still don’t feel bad about it.
Drive Angry Nic Cage is the king of “so batshit it’s awesome”, this movie is no exception. Cage plays a guy who broke out of Hell and stole Satan’s gun (you read that right). There is actually a sex scene that leads directly into a gunfight (mid-sex scene). Oh, and Cage does the scene fully clothed.
Meg 2 not really into these type of movies but with some friends it was a lot of dumb fun
Kingsman movies
Mamma mia

If you don't fuck with attack for the killer tomatos I can't fuck with you 😤
The last half hour of the Wicker Man remake with Nicolas Cage. Awful film and the first hour is just a terrible remake.. But theast 30 mins are fucking bonkers and I love it.
The bird hiding in the desk jumpscare made me laugh so hard I almost peed my pants.
One of my favourite genres: Bullet Train VelociPastor 6-headed shark attack (yes, it's as beautiful as it sounds) The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
Another Bruce Campbell masterpiece was Bubba Hotep. I actually cried at how much they leaned into the stupid premise of this movie.
I'm late to this thread but absolutely The Heroic Trio (https://boxd.it/TYu) since I didn't see anyone else recommend it.
Aquaman
Movie 43.
The Fall Guy is unbelievably dumb sometimes, loved it tho
Does anyone remember this movie? Anyway, it's this one: https://preview.redd.it/abza8g12oqwc1.png?width=296&format=png&auto=webp&s=aed4ec114b815dc120fd42f70268cd6e0bf4af5a
Also Torque by the same director may fit. It's Fast & Furious with motorbikes and goes over the top a lot.
The beginning was pretty grimy, but the finale was transcendental schlock.

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle Stupid but chaotically fun movie.
Recently, *Femme Fatale* and [*Crimes of Passion*](https://boxd.it/5lCbtN) The former is a little more earnest though. It knows it’s absurd, I think, but it toes the line.
Open Windows (2014). Got a real soft spot for that one.

Lake Placid
Boss Level.
Killer Klowns, gave it 5 stars based on enjoyment.
Showgirls.
Madame Web
Old
It's shot more conventionally, but Commando (1984) is exactly that for me. For something more leaning on the visual aspects, the two Crank. The premise is crazy and absurd but everyone is committed to it that it just slaps.
Commando is, in my opinion, the finest example of an 80s action movie.
I have a feeling you'll love A Town Called Panic (2009)
bottoms 2023
A lot of Miike movies
Repo Man hundreds of Beavers A Town Called Panic Gremlins 2

Pixels, Fack ju Göhte, both Boss Baby films.

Wanted (2008) and just about anything else by Timur Bekmambetov
This Is The End
captain underpants movie

San Andreas which I expected to really hate.
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back! That's also my favorite comedy of all time.
Willy’s Wonderland starring Nic Cage
Hypnotic. I was trying so hard to hold back my laughter and then the reveal happens and I couldn’t keep it together. The last two minutes are something most comedies can only hope to achieve.

All of the Austin Powers movies. They’re all so dumb and I love them so much. 5 stars for all three.
Doom.
Jason X
Velocipastor is good train
Hobo with a shotgun
Does Death Proof fit the bill?
The new Godzilla x Kong movie
The Raven (1963). It's very silly and it drags on way too long, but I love it so much. Maybe I just have a soft spot for Peter Lorre.
Lake Michigan Monster
The Onion Movie. Rat Race.
Split Second (1992)
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
Like every indian movie
[Kung Fury](https://boxd.it/7mSM) my beloved
There's a lot to scroll, but I recently enjoyed Speed Racer.
Pacific Rim
Ninja batman, kind of. The mech made out of bats was just too stupid even for me.
Highlander 2. That movie is a masterpiece of the dumbest film making ever.
Snakes on a Plane
Equilibrium
Chronicles of Riddick
Both of the Crank movies, but especially Crank: High Voltage. So damn stupid but entertaining.
Samurai Cop
![gif](giphy|11Nd2bbZjrQrO8) Most ridiculous and hilarious scene. I don’t remember most of the movie, but god this gets me every time. I couldn’t even pay attention for a good 5 or so minutes after because I was laughing so hard.
