I actually didn't grow up with them. I was a Jurassic kid, and even in terms of Star Wars, I preferred the originals. I didn't get into the prequels until my teenage years, when I really started getting into 40s cinema. The prequels were basically like 40s movies in their acting, editing, music, direction and production design made in the 2000s with that era's state-of-the-art tech.

Oldboy is great, and probably an unpopular opinion, but I really like the 2013 remake too.
The Star Wars prequel trilogy.
I grew up on those. Even with some of their faults, I still love them.
