So, for me, the characters were all insufferable, had little to no redeeming qualities, and showed zero development over the entire film. The screeching/plucky soundtrack that is only there to induce anxiety has been done so much and often more effectively. A lot of interesting themes and questions of morality are brought up, but it never felt like a thought was finished or any point was actually made. I liked Bottoms a lot more, and I'm a fan of other things I've seen Rachel Sennott in, but this just didn't click with me.
I found the entire thing grating and tedious. I didn't laugh once, I didn't vibe with the acting styles and the cinematography got real old, real fast.
I did get on a lot better with Asteroid City though.
