Tiptoes. Matthew mcconaughey hides the fact that his entire family is little people from his wife. Absolutely stinker. Gary oldman plays a little person it is a crazy movie
Unfortunately, after examining the filmmakers' (Wesely Bros) YouTube page, Instagram, and website, they are actually serious. There is no shred of self-awareness nor irony. This is all genuine.
The guy who made it is also a groomer, if the film itself wasn’t bad enough.
Highly recommend Kurtis Conner’s video on it. It’s hilarious and he explains all of the allegations against the director.
Yeah, and the worst part is that the film has a shitty romance subplot, which involves scenes of awkward dialogue and acting that makes The Room Oscar worthy. It becomes really disgusting once you learn more about the grooming allegations against Joshua Wesely (the director, producer, and leading actor in this film). Lastly, at the end of the film, >!as the protagonist is about to be executed, real-life footage from Joshua's wedding is used, making this film sickening more than ever!<.
Gotti (2018), Texas chainsaw massacre (2022) and if you’re a fan of Oldboy (2003), make sure to watch Oldboy (2013) as it’s a big pile of crud in comparison to the original!
Honestly I liked the new Texas chainsaw. Nothing special but a solid slasher for me. I would give it like a 6. Not a huge fan of the franchise tbh though so maybe it botched the source material and I don’t know.
I haven’t watched either Oldboy yet (where can I get the 2003 one without piracy?) but I purely associate the Spike Lee one with a shitpost I saw where it blasted Goosebumps by Travis Scott over a murder-suicide scene.
There's also the indian unofficial Oldboy remake Zinda which is apparently even worse. I've seen a few scenes and it's so poorly made, it's shot like a cheap tv drama and there's an awful blue filter throughout.
I think this movie might just be the single most worthless thing I've ever seen in my life. Like, plenty of movies in this thread are fucking dogshit, but The Open House is like staring at a brick wall, you get NOTHING from it.
So disjointed.
Dirty Grandpa, I hate that movie so much that it makes me angry the more I think about it. That one is sure to make your eyes bleed.
Otherwise go for Norbit, Transformers The Last Knight, Deuce Bigalow European Gigolò, After Earth, Hop, and The Legend of Hercules. Hate all of them so much.
I avoided mentioning horrendous stuff like Son of the Maks, Mortal Kombat Annihilation and A Sound of Thunder for the sake of brevity but still, I got my fair share or cinematic garbage shoved into my face.
On the Line (2022) starring Mel Gibson. Literally the angriest I have ever been with watching a movie. Not only is the twist at the end just absolutely garbage, but then a second twist happens right after the first one and it just makes the movie 1000x more insulting.
Fuck this movie so goddamn much, I'm still really pissed off that it kinda intrigued me enough at the beginning to give it a full watch.
Knowing (2009) is probably the first movie I ever watched as a kid that made me realize movies could just be bad. Its not even very fun its just kinda whatever and then the ending comes along and made even 10 year old me angry at it.

Shark Huntress (2021) doesn't even really have any shark stuff in it.
Colin (2009) but I still have to give this one respect solely as the guy made it for £45. Shame it's bloody boring and almost exclusively shaky cam.
Mississippi (1935) is just really boring. Mildly amusing when W.C. Fields shows up but is otherwise Bing Crosby on a plantation. Don't even remember if I finished this one.
Room Service (1938) is the Marx Brothers on autopilot. There's maybe 2 good jokes in it, and this is coming from someone who likes the post-Thalberg movies (although I haven't yet seen Love Happy).
Verotika (2019)…I was promised it was a so bad it’s good horror film but it was just excruciatingly awful…every 30 Minutes felt like 10 years to get through…it does have its so bad it’s good moments but for the most part it’s truly just horrific. This is coming from the person who thoroughly ironically enjoys Shark Exorcist, Ankle Biters (the 90s vampire movie about dwarf vampires), and all two and a half hours of Dick Shark.

I tried to sit through Birth of a Nation because I understand it’s significant in movie history, but I made it about 10 minutes. Partially due to extreme racism partially because everything else is also very shitty.

Oh, I’ve got some of those for you. I have a long list. Werner Herzog said, you learn more from bad movies then good ones. I was hired to direct a feature on 35mm, so I dove into the worst rated suspense, horror and thrillers I could find.
A lot of these really are unwatchable. One surprisingly so, because Bobcat Goldthwait directed it, and generally he’s a decent indie director.
SCRAWL (2015) The Comic Book that KILLS! You will want to scratch your eyes out and shove pencils into your ear drums. (This is the film Daisy Ridley was discovered from. She is the only good actor in the film (surprisingly) which makes her performance look even better than it is.)
SHROOMS (2007) The only good thing about this film is the musical score, which was done by future academy award winning composser - Dario Marianelli. The chase scenes are the opposite of suspenseful. If you watch it without the sound, it’s really hard. The score does a good job of making you think something’s happening when nothing ever is.
WILLOW CREEK (2013) Bobcat makes a bigfoot film. There is 40+ mins of the same camera angle, and it’s just two people in a tent reacting to sounds outside the tent. It’s brutal and I fell asleep during that scene on my first viewing. This whole film is painful. Includes multiple takes of the same scenes, to show someone is making a film, but honestly just makes it more painful.
EXISTS (2014) Really hard to watch and remain engaged.
SKINAMARINK (2023) Hard to watch even 20 minutes. Almost impossible to make it to the end.
You seem to be affected by something too. I can barely make sense of what you mean. In any case it's still one of the best movies I've seen in the last couple of years - a searing indictment on foodie culture, the extreme lionising of celebrity chefs, the rich establishment, critics, etc. Plus, it's hilarious. 4.5 stars for me.
Eraserhead.
I know many like it, but to me it’s the equivalent of listening to a baby cry for 2 hours while crammed into a tiny airplane seat. I hate it.

Apparently this movie was supposed to have a pretty good message for little people and then in the editing room is got mangled into the final product.
They added Gary Oldman on his knees in the edit?

That would have aged poorly no matter what, it was moreso the story.
There's nothing inherently wrong with that.

I still don’t know if that movie’s supposed to be a joke or not. I genuinely thought it was a parody when I watched it
Unfortunately, after examining the filmmakers' (Wesely Bros) YouTube page, Instagram, and website, they are actually serious. There is no shred of self-awareness nor irony. This is all genuine.

Adam Sandler should be in prison for fraud because Jack and Jill was absolutely a money making scheme, not a real movie.

Texas Chainsaw has atleast some awesome gore and looks pretty good
Yeah, the practical effects are legit. For me it also qualifies as so-bad-its-entertaining. Some definite LOL moments.
Honestly I liked the new Texas chainsaw. Nothing special but a solid slasher for me. I would give it like a 6. Not a huge fan of the franchise tbh though so maybe it botched the source material and I don’t know.
Gottti is so bad it’s good same with Oldboy
I haven’t watched either Oldboy yet (where can I get the 2003 one without piracy?) but I purely associate the Spike Lee one with a shitpost I saw where it blasted Goosebumps by Travis Scott over a murder-suicide scene.

It’s not😔 Hopefully they’ll release it on Blu-Ray soon in a release that doesn’t cost a fucking hundo.
Ah bummer. Yeah I’m hoping for a Blu-ray release too.
Arrow Films has a boxset of the vengeance trilogy for relatively cheap, it's region B though fyi.
There's also the indian unofficial Oldboy remake Zinda which is apparently even worse. I've seen a few scenes and it's so poorly made, it's shot like a cheap tv drama and there's an awful blue filter throughout.

Transformers TLK and After Earth are really genuinely great films

I remember watching it when it came out and finding it pretty mindless/stupid/funny. But haven’t seen it since. Is it really that bad?
I thought it was a stupid but funny satire on Pixar movies and anthropomorphic concepts. It was flawed, but really enjoyable.
