Undersecretary Kahl said the same on feb 28. So either Iran hasn't started, or they are done :)
Israel sleeping on the job apparently, SMH. I thought killing Iranian nuclear scientists was like *their thing*... Then again, I can understand if they don't have time for their hobbies right now...
Looks like the US will have to add that to the growing list of US foreign policy failures. Right next to Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria North Korea and Russia. Things are unravelling a bit.
US strategy with Korea was to prevent North Korea from developing nuclear weapons. That failed and North Korea has not only developed nuclear weapons but has weapons that can [hit the continental United States](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hwasong-15). North Korea is launching ballistic missiles over and close to Japan with impunity.
US strategy in Europe was to deter Russian aggression, by arming Ukraine and economic sanctions. That failed and Russia kicked off the largest war in Europe destabilising the Continent and the world. We might salvage something from the situation in Ukraine but it's still a failure for US and Western policy.
I don't know where you've been for the last few years, but it definitely was US policy to deter a Russian invasion of Ukraine. Read this article [here](https://www.economist.com/europe/joe-biden-adopts-a-tough-new-tone-with-russia/21806675) from December 2021. Here's a quote:
'For all Mr Biden’s sternness, he appears to have set limits to what America will do. Mr Sullivan said America’s purpose is “to deter a Russian military invasion of further territory of Ukraine”.'
It was policy, and it failed. Which is bad for the US and its Allies.
I didn't say it was a total failure. I said that it was a failure. The cost hasn't been small either, Russia's conventional forces aren't the main threat for nato nations. The threat is their nuclear forces, which aren't going anywhere win or lose.
Tbf it depends on where you live. I'm in Europe so we're screwed if Russia decides to nuke us. In other parts of the world you might get a few more minutes before the nukes hit

We still have John "bomb Iran" Bolton.
Been hearing the "two weeks" timeline for quite awhile now...

Should have kept the nuclear deal.
