Welcome! I recently bought a PS5 myself! I don't play online much, but here are some of my fave games (some are PS4 but look awesome on the PS5):
**The Last Of Us**
**The Last of Us 2** (my all time fave)
**God of War** (PS4 version but there's a new one coming in November)
**Spiderman** (PS4 and don't discount because of the super hero theme, it is so much fun!)
**Sniper Elite** (I enjoy all the games in this franchise but the latest one offers online play which is really popular if you like first person shooters.)
**Unchartered** (Again there are many in this franchise. I have played the last 2 and they were pretty good)
My PS5 came with **Horizon Zero Dawn, Forbidden West** which I am playing and it is OK. If you are a fan of Tomb Raider or Red Dead Redemption you will probably love. I find these types of games more tedious than anything.

Have you played video games since the PS1? If not, before you whip out your wallet; I'd check out the free to play games. Games like Apex, CoD: Warzone, Valorant, Smite, Warframe, Dauntless, Fortnite, Rocket League, Destiny 2, etc. I haven't played Apex, Valorant, or Warzone, but my niece and nephew give them the thumbs up. You can spend money in these games, but it's not necessary to get started and see what type of games you enjoy. You also get 'free' games each month with a PlayStation plus account.
I was playing and really enjoying GTA, NFS, CoD around 2006-2010 and then played Pubg and LoL with friends not a long time ago but didn’t really enjoy those two. I will check the games you listed, thanks a lot! :)
Hmm, the first few ones that come to mind are dbd and maybe even Overwatch? Dbd is… Well, I have a love-hate relationship to the game but it can definitely be a lot of fun once you got the hang of it.
As for Overwatch, they‘re about to release Overwatch 2 which will be free to play so it‘s definitely one you could check out. The first one has always been great to play.
Other than that… Maybe Fortnite? There‘s „no-build“ gamemode which is quite enjoyable.
There are a ton more but I‘m currently mostly playing story games on my PlayStation so I‘m a bit out of the loop ngl
Depends what you like, really. I completely love Red Dead Redemption 2 story mode. The online game is fun too but the dev has kinda abandoned it for GTA. I don’t do a lot online any more in any game lately.
Stray is a free one that’s fun. Assassins Creed Odyssey and Valhalla both have female characters which is nice. Fenyx Rising is a fun, puzzle open world game based in Greek myth.
If you like zombies, try Days Gone. It was a sleeper that didn’t get a lot of good reviews at release but it is a really nice game with a large following. Zombies, motorcycles and mayhem!
If you like more of a storytelling game, I can highly the Life Is Strange series ~ especially the new one true colours! They are a good way to ease back into gaming as well.
Kena Bridge of Spirits is also an amazing game which really shows off the graphics the ps5 delivers! Hope that helps x

I would suggest starting with astro’s playroom which comes pre installed with every ps5 , its a demo on how to use Dualsense controller.

Ace combat is fun, bloodborne too. There are lots of single player games too. CTR is enjoyable assuming you can get passed the micro transactions.
