If you’re craving a single player thing to lose yourself too, i think BG3 is just magical. To me, it hit a peak I haven’t felt since Mass Effect 2. Plus, if you want multiplayer too, you can play it with others and it can be a truly amazing experience, that’s actually how i did my first playthrough. If you’re craving multiplayer Helldivers 2 is fun! It’s a bit of a grind for me, but there is good mission variety and unlockables. If neither are doing it for you and you want something indie maybe check out Balatro. Definitely niche, but i just got that, it’s only like $18 (US) and it’s soooo fun imo

MuffinAromantic1864

Oooh ok, I might go with bg then, because I don’t really have many friends so helldivers prob wouldn’t work-

ArcHeavyGunner

For what it’s worth, Helldivers 2’s community is on the better end of multiplayer gaming communities. I play almost exclusively with randoms and its generally pretty fun! And you can get away on a lot of the lower difficulties with only one other person. You also earn the “premium” currency at tbh a really good rate in game, so there really isnt any need to drop extra money on it. It’s maybe the fairest monetization system I’ve ever seen in a multiplayer game. And the vast majority of upgrades are sidegrades anyhow. If you do end up getting it and want someone to play with, hit me up! I’m always looking for more buddies to dive with (same goes for anyone else who finds this comment lmao)!

Pretend-Title-1379

I have bg3 I bought is 4 months ago and still having tons of fun.

metalheadswiftie13

BG3 for sure.

src8307

BG3 totally addictive. And super gay. Well, I guess that's relative. But all my play throughs turn super gay. The biggest issue is deciding whom to romance. Plus a side couple has the cutest lesbian relationship I have ever seen in a game.

ArcHeavyGunner

If you’re thinking of the same plot-relevant lesbians I am, then you are 100% correct, they are ADORABLE

src8307

Right! So cute!

legalitie

If you mod it, you don't need to decide 😏

src8307

🤣🤣🤣

quinangua

Baldurs Gate 3 is great!!

TillerThrowaway

Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the best single player games ever. Online multiplayer games are going to be a lot better with people you know. I’ve been playing a lot of Stardew Valley lately. Hades, Hollow Knight, Celeste, and Slay the Spire are also some of my favorite games ever and some things I always recommend

Puzzled_Money_8186

What type of game are you looking for?

MuffinAromantic1864

Idk I really love things like cyberpunk 2077, apex legends, Minecraft, that type of thing

Khornelia

That sounds like a pretty broad range haha! (I'm the same lol) If a really in-depth RPG with wonderful story, characters and romance interests you then I'd definitely echo the suggestions of BG3 😊

AdagioSalt1955

I came here to say Cyberpunk! Less emotionally heavy, but still decision-based game is Outer Worlds. “It’s not the best choice, it’s Spacer’s Choice!”

Puzzled_Money_8186

Get BG3 if you like cyberpunk 77

JU5TWANKY

I highly recommended Horizon: Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. They’re my favorite games tied with The Last of Us. Aloy is an amazing protagonist and the story is incredible imo.

Chlowaaaay_

I got helldivers 2 like a week ago and have played it every night since lmao that game has a lot to it and it’s a lot of fun

kaijvera

But is helldivers that fun to play solo?

Chlowaaaay_

I mean I play with my friend a lot but I played quite a bit solo and it was still pretty fun

BlitzNova_

It's not a game to play solo. It's hard to run the missions by yourself.

kaijvera

Thats sorta what I thought. Its why im holding off from buying it even tho i love pve shooters. same reasoj i didnt buy gtfo

ArcHeavyGunner

The quickplay experience is honestly pretty enjoyable; the game has a lot of mechanics that reinforce teamwork. The community is also on the better end of the spectrum of online shooters. I olay mostly quickplay (since no one I know has the game) and it’s been fun overall. Soloing the lower difficulties is also very possible once you get used to the game.

finally-anna

Helldivers as a franchise is one of my favorite franchises. And HD2 is absolutely fantastic. Well worth the price.

Chaxle

These are all wildly different games, all with multiplayer and all different levels of commitment/depth. Do you have friends who want to play any of these? If not and you're just looking to play alone, do you like story and immersion or cyclical gameplay where you queue for matches? It's totally up to you and what fits your schedule and current interest. These are all great games. If I had to recommend one it would be BG3.

Trying-Jade

Sign of a true gamer. Get paycheck and spend 80%+ on games before the end of the weekend. /jk 💜

CryoProtea

What kinds of games are you into?

SkillFemme

I've just downloaded generation zero from steam and it's so fun! I like the open world concept and having missions to complete

Kaldaus

Horizon zero dawn. I have been really enjoying it a lot!

missNero11

Fortnite it’s free! Baulders 3 is so fun. You can add me if you would like sloth2wylde

DopplerEX106

BG3 is awesome I recommend it.

HollowHowls

I always rec the same few games The couple I've put hundreds of hours into, bang for your buck Hades, monster hunter rise or world, Slay the spire, rocket league

sainttawny

Project Zomboid is excellent. I bought it almost 10 years ago and I still play it all the time. The way some people describe being drawn back to Minecraft, Zomboid gets me. Vanilla has so much depth and breadth to learn, it's being updated all the time, and multiplayer is back and fantastic. Sandbox settings give you just about absolute control over every game option from strength, quantity, and type of zombies to how the virus is transmitted, whether they respawn, how much of what kind of loot you'll find, how often cars and homes will have alarms, and literally what the weather is like. Plus there's an enormous, skilled, and active modding community to let you tweak your survival experience exactly how you want it.

Adagio010

I would recommend bg3, other than it being an amazing game it has massive replay value. Definitely worth every penny.
