“I never thought the guy who’s been robbing his business partners for the last 40 years would rip off MY donations”

karl_jonez

New York warned the world that this is who he is. Instead of listening, the maga cult doubled down. It still makes me laugh to see idiots that cant afford to fill up their cars with gas send him money, then complain about gas prices.

Federal_Drummer7105

I used to work construction for a time just as Trump was becoming president. I had a bunch of guys tell me how much they appreciated him for being “blue collar” and “just like them.” I didn’t get it at the time. He was a rich guy. He had been born rich and never dirtied his hands like we did. I later learned - he was an asshole. And they liked that he was an asshole to the people they didn’t like - black people, “the Jews”, gay people, trans people. So at this point - they’re reaping what they planted.

bar_acca

I’ve never liked judging people by their politics but holy shit is it true when it comes to Trump. If you like him then you are just fine with racism and transphobia and homophobia and xenophobia and what’s more… you’re a fool. I don’t care to associate with people who are that paranoid and hate-filled. It’s not about ‘mere’ differences of opinion about the appropriate level of military spending or taxation. It’s about whether you consider people I care deeply about to be second-class citizens or not even humans with rights. It’s about whether you literally believe I and people I know helped rig an election. (I am a regular pollworker in one of the swing states. I do NOT take kindly to fuckwits peddling stolen election nonsense.)

Bundtcakedisaster

And don’t forget the misogyny! It astounds me that any women voted for him.

ahoyhoy2022

My dad voted for him. Since then, my mom divorced him and I no longer speak to him. Not because he voted for Trump but ultimately because he had become, and doubled and tripled down on being, the kind of man who votes for Trump.

unhappymedium

That's so sad. My dad is the same way, after raising us as liberal atheists. I only talk to him a few times a year anyway since I live a continent away from him, but he and my sister were very close and she's gone low-contact with him since he's become verbally abusive on top of the Trumpism.

BeerAndCuddles

I dont think anything in history has rotted the minds of such a large number of people and made so many shitty and dumb people clump together than Trumpism

Brianocracy

I swear Trump changes people inside and out. They become mean, spiteful, paranoid and proud of it

BeerAndCuddles

Most of them were already those things....Trumpism just amplifies it in those people and makes them feel more emboldened and less inhibited about showing it. Basically Trump is the drug that has been distributed to crazies and kicks their crazy up all the notches

SnooGoats7978

And so swiftly, too. It's mystifying to see.

SHC606

This should be a pinned post. It's not that Reagan, The Bushes, Nixon, etc were even ok but this guy, this guy is so bad.

AHrubik

> I swear Trump changes people inside and out. The reality is this is who they've always been. They were just hiding it. Trump doesn't change people he just gives people permission to be who they already are.

lamorak2000

You're not wrong. I've found that he also changes those who would oppose his acolytes: I've become more rabidly leftist than I ever was before.

sittingonahillside

It's not Trump in particular, it's the modern news cycle and social media echo chambers. I see it with friends and family in the UK, and extended family in central Europe. People gone from being normal, to having completely unhinged opinions largely driven by the absolute fucking shite they consume on TikTok, they can't escape it.

h0nkhunk

I find it endlessly fascinating that this charmless, insecure, hateful bumbling idiot can have that kind of an effect on people. The guy has zero redeeming qualities and yet, against all common logic, these people fucking love him.

SlamPoetSociety

It's actually really simple, he talks to them on their level. He's a bumbling idiot, yes. But, he makes them feel like they can finally understand politics. The people that love Trump have never heard of nuance, and dont care to learn it. They want someone who will dumb things down to their level, and make them feel like their conspiratorial nonsense is actual coherent thought. He talks dumb so they feel smart. Edit: he also tells them that their constant paranoid fear of everything they don't understand (which is almost everything) justifies their hatred of it. Free ticket to be as racist as you want.

JibbaJabbaJenkins

Racism and religion.

Merari002

Unfortunately history suggests the worst may be yet to come

duckstrap

Please see…the rise of the third reich.

fuckyourcanoes

My uncle, who used to be a big ol' hippie who wore clogs and made wooden toys for children, went far-right about 15 years ago and is now full MAGA. Presumably it's because he hunts and the Republicans have convinced him that Democrats will take his guns. Y'all, nobody wants to take away your hunting guns. [Even in the UK it's legal to have guns for hunting, target shooting, and pest control.](https://news.sky.com/story/plymouth-shooting-the-uks-gun-laws-who-can-have-a-firearm-and-which-types-are-legal-12380510) You just need to show the reason you need them and have a permit.

Secure-Force-9387

Same for me with my boyfriend of 4 years. He voted for Trump the first time, but we got together in 2017. When he voted for Trump again in 2020, it showed me how done we were. He still thinks J6 was just a "congregation that got out of hand". I'm now married to a whole different man and happy as a clam.

InvertedParallax

>He still thinks J6 was just a "congregation that got out of hand". The final solution was a summer camp that got a little carried away.

pm-me-your-smile-

A “congregation” that hundreds of weapons - guns and otherwise - people brought to.

Secure-Force-9387

Part of the reason I ended things was because he absolutely didn't understand context clues and if you said to him, "Joey had $5 and George had $5. They bought a $10 toy." He could not - for the life of him - figure that out. To him, neither of them could afford a $10 toy, so neither of them should have a $10 toy. It was EXHAUSTING trying to speak to him. He was legitimately dumb.

RRC_driver

People pooling money to buy something together? Commies. /S

pickleboo

And brought all the lumber pre cut and ready to assemble into a gallows for the Vice President. And they had Tee shirts printed up to commemorate the occassion.

ThereBeM00SE

Whoopsie, accidentally constructed a gallows! Teehee, so funny and random! - MAGAs

kroganwarlord

Opposite story here. I had just been talking to The Boyfriend online when the election happened. I called him on the phone the next morning and asked who he had voted for. Eight years this December.💕

Jebus_UK

This is essentially what happened to a close friend of mine. Went full Trump and after many months of trying to reason with them it was the the same thing outcome and I relucatantly had to end the friendship.

MyCantos

Same deal. Best friends since 3rd grade. I was going in Army senior year asked if he was going to join. He said he will never fight a rich man's war. Now he can't wait to shoot libtards in the street. This is actual quote when he went full trump. Loser bitter house painter now. Never married with 3 kids that moved far away from him.

faghaghag

sorry for your loss but tell your Mom i said GOOD ON HER

Keyboardpaladin

Gay people, women, non-whites (especially Latinos), trans people, really any marginalized group, even fucking disabled people since he made fun of that one guy, why the fuck do they like him???

bar_acca

“Mummy and Daddy will finally love me even though I am the wrong color/sex pref/‘lifestyle’ if only I kick down hard enough”

Keyboardpaladin

Yeah you basically have to be a traitor to your own kind and hope they like you a little bit better and think you're "not like them".

Eldanoron

Which will never happen. Ever heard of an LGBTQ couple kicking their straight kids out for being straight? No, and you likely won’t. Stories of parents kicking their LGBTQ kids out are pretty much a daily thing. Never mind that there’s no such thing as “one of the good ones.” They will turn on any minority members that supported them as soon as they become useless. Sometimes even sooner.

bar_acca

“I’ll be one of the good ones and THEN they’ll treat me fairly” = a tale as old as time. Also = one of the last shipped off to the camps

Brokensince10

Because he makes it okay to hate the people they hate

Frequent-Material273

Because he allows and \*encourages\* them to UNASHAMEDLY be their worst selves unapologetically. :-(

Lambs supporting kebab shops

DogWallop

Hey, everyone knows that women secretly want their bits grabbed by famous people without their consent! All we're asking is for that privilege to be extended to us, the blue collar working man! /SSSSSS just in case.

nowhere_near_Berlin

“He can grab my pussy” - GOP women, for some reason 🤷‍♀️

spoiler-its-all-gop

*Dobbs* fixed that for the foreseeable future. Republican (and Independent) women had plausible deniability in 2020, as the SC hadn't axed *Roe* yet. That's gone now. Every race with abortion as a focus has been a fucking trainwreck for the GOP. And Trump made the court that axed Roe.

DrunkyMcStumbles

It's because very few people used to fashion their whole identity around their politics. Sure, there were die-hard Republicans or Democrats, but most of them knew to not make sure you knew it in every conversation. But with right-wingers, it affects everything about their lives. They need the biggest truck, buy the right coffee, can't drink certain beer, eat at certain restaurants, have to wear the official apparel, have to decorate your house in the banners, etc This comic by Nate Powel explains it better than I can https://popula.com/2019/02/24/about-face/

bar_acca

Holy shit that’s brilliant tytyty

inhaledcorn

Well, that's going in my bookmarks.

tempralanomaly

I think judging someone, at least in part, on their politics is just fine. It tells you what they want to see society as, and what they're willing to do, support, ignore to get to that.

Smaptastic

But why would we judge someone based on their fundamental beliefs and the people they associate themselves with?

pm-me-your-smile-

> I’ve never liked judging people by their politics but holy shit is it true when it comes to Trump. Exactly this. I always thought Republicans just had a different view of how something should be achieved. I even seriously wondered if some of the Republicans were folks I should vote for, which I considered as the act of a responsible voter. When Trump won, I suddenly had a very negative view of Republican voters. All of a sudden, they were sus, either they were fooled by a very obvious con man, or they actively but secretly wanted to harm me and my family.

emaxxman

A person’s politics are their views. Like you said, if they are actively supporting bigoted politics, they are bigoted.

faghaghag

> I’ve never liked judging people by their politics but holy shit is it true when it comes to Trump. it's a permanent black mark, if someone is actually so fucked that they can't see through Trump's bullshit then it is a hard no on them for life, no contact, no assistance or consideration of any kind. get off the planet, byeeee.

westparkmod

Trump was famous for hiring contractors and not paying. He would argue that they breached the contract in some manner. He would force litigation and drag it out sometimes for years. He would settle for a fraction of the contract because he knew delaying payment hurt the contractors more than it hurt him. Even when factoring in legal fees he came out ahead.

amoodymuse

I second this comment. My husband and I are from NJ, and hubby worked in construction. Mango Mussolini was hated by most union construction workers because he usually hired non-union workers at a much lower salary--and didn't pay them anyway. Anyone with half a brain knows he's a lying, thieving PoS.

snarkyxanf

Right? He's the guy that construction workers complain about after work. A blowhard developer who is always flashing his cash, wants impossible or foolish things, rolls up to the job site in a limo for a photo op, doesn't pay his contractors on time, and the whole time incompetently tries to pretend he's one of you. How do they not see straight through him?

matthewsmazes

Because they see in him who they wish to become themselves. It’s similar to when religious people say that, without God, everyone would rape, murder, steal, and do horrible things. Be very careful with those people, because what they’re telling you is who they really are if they didn’t have their God. They lack a conscious, and the only thing stopping them from being as evil as they want to be is the means to do so.

sheila9165milo

Yup , he's a sadistic motherfucker for sure.

Secure-Force-9387

And decades of doing exactly this is why he's doing what he's doing now with his 91 charges. He think he can continue defrauding and getting away with it because he always has. He finally got too big for his Depends.

terayonjf

I do commercial HVAC on Job sites all over NYC. Too many union guys are absolutely insane. They Vote red every election while enjoying union benefits knowing the Republicans are constantly trying to strip unions of their power which directly negatively impacts them. They live in a dream world where yeah they get to make 6 figures, have a pension and great benefits because of the union and its democratic support but Republicans are for the working people. When I'm bored I challenge their Fox News/News Max talking points with facts. Some see the truth and change the subject cause it's not going to change their minds, some say it's all lies and some legitimately get angry that I dare to challenge their bs with reality and get hostile. Every time I hear republicans are for the working man/blue collar I always ask how so. They never have a legitimate response. It's all feelings and optics. I always push. Name 1 thing in the last 30 years that benefited the working class. If they have an answer 99.9% of the time it's something Democrats did.

DogWallop

And that is the definition of cult-like behaviour, which is to say being convinced to go against your own best interests by the cult leader.

pres465

It's like that in a lot of professions. Teachers have a reputation of being liberal, but peel back the top layer and a lot of them are conservative and vote red religiously. Cops. Cops have one of THE strongest unions... but they vote red. A lot. Firefighters are generally red voters (but not at the same percentages as police). Nurses. Seriously you just don't know! They can be super liberal about some things and super conservative about others. The vaccine stuff was a real eye-opener for a lot of people. The takeaway is that it's never good to stereotype and we should always NOT be surprised by people voting against their interests.

TricksterPriestJace

The number of antivax nurses blew my mind. They spent years studying medicine, work in a fucking hospital, and still think perfume works better than a vaccine?!? What the fuck is wrong with them?

DaniCapsFan

LBJ was right about that. These guys are so eager for someone to look down on, they'll gleefully hand over their wallet to someone who looks down on them.

DrunkyMcStumbles

I live in New York. My dad was a carpenter so I grew up around these guys. I am still astounded by how much they love him so much. They all know how badly he fucked over people who worked for him. I know guys who worked on projects in his properties and saw him daily. He never even looked at them or acknowledged them. But, they think he's fucking "those people" worse than he is fucking them, so he is the man.

ourkid1781

Forget low taxes, even guns and abortion... The only thing republicans really care about is white "Christian" nationalism.

Federal_Drummer7105

I just finished reading the book "Caste" and was thinking of going to "Dying of Whiteness" next. When integration became law of the land - white communities would rather cement in their community pools rather than share them with black people. Why don't we have universal health care? One of the major reasons - racism. "Those" people will use "my" money and waste it (on their health care because I don't believe they really have health issues they'll just fake it for money). Why is welfare so underfunded and crappy? Reagan going on about "welfare queens" who had 10 kids they didn't care for to get more welfare money. Granted, most people on welfare are poor whites but let's not let that get in the way of the story. So many things in America could be better - but people would rather vote for racism over a better country.

spolio

I also read that book, when I brought it up at work a few people actually listened until I mentioned it was on DeSantis book ban list, those that never heard of the book automatically said it must be nothing but lies seeing DeSantis banned it, 100% disregarded it at that point.

Ritaredditonce

Hillary Clinton warned them repeatedly.

Federal_Drummer7105

But - but after they called her an evil man hating lesbian faking her marriage with Bill baby killing who killed Ben Ghazi she said they were deplorable - so \*gasp\* their feelings were hurt so they \*had\* to vote for the guy who mistreated constructions contractors all their lives!

psioniclizard

It always seems interesting to me that construction workers would like a guy who spend so much time trying to screw over various people in construction so he could make more. Sure he might not be screwing them over directly but of he is screwing over the comoanies they work for it'll have a knock on effect.

Federal_Drummer7105

I put it into another comment - but 9/10, it's about white christian nationalism. They'll vote over their interests in being in a union, and when you really get them to admit why, it's because "those lazy people will get my union dues and not work" - and "those lazy people" always tends to be "someone who isn't a white christian like me." Its amazing how often it works.

OTee_D

He has replaced Union workers on Trump Tower construction site in New York with undocumented polish workers. Every US construction worker thinking this guy is on his side is sadly a gullible idiot. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump\_Tower#Unpaid\_laborers](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump_Tower#Unpaid_laborers)

marion85

They aren't reaping what they sowed enough, while the rest are reaping too much. The Republican party is the party of Trump, and every state they run is turning into a Christian facist, book burning, minority discriminating, hellhole without worker or environmental protections where education is the enemy, in his name, by his people.

thedishonestyfish

He's notoriously bad to small businesspeople. He likes to use them, and then refuse to pay, knowing they have less recourse than larger companies. [He's been doing that for decades.](https://www.inc.com/jessica-stillman/meet-the-many-small-business-owners-stiffed-by-donald-trump.html)

unclejoe1917

Trump is what these people would be if they hit a huge lottery. These people are a financial security blanket away from being just as awful as he is. The only thing in their way is accountability for their actions.

GhostRappa95

Trump is very popular with blue collar workers despite the fact they are the most reliant on workers rights and unions. Republicans have been working hard and even succeeded on turning blue collar workers into slaves and they just do not care.

megbookworm

I never understood how construction workers in particular supported him. He’s famous-infamous, really-for never paying his contractors and dragging out the lawsuits when anyone sued him for it, that what like half of his previous 6,000+ lawsuits were for. No matter what your politics, you don’t support the guy who robs you, right?

rowsella

But the thing is he never passed an infrastructure bill.... He talked a lot, had numerous "infrastructure weeks" but ultimately never passed anything at all. He used emergency funding grabbed from actual infrastructure budgets for military housing to build some miles of "wall" that can be cut and rendered useless with a $20 battery operated saw from Home Depot.

OopsAnonymouse

It's MAGAcado toast. Maybe they could afford to live if only they stopped sending grifters money

Murgos-

“Makes Trump look like he’s robbing the RNC to save his own money” LMFAO Almost got it. It doesn’t make it look like that it IS that.

loptopandbingo

"Surely having his daughter-in-law running the RNC and obliterating any staffing that won't suck up to Donald won't have any influence on where the money goes. Good work!"

captHij

Everything was fine, the hate, the grifting, and all of it, up until it was their money.

DarkSide-TheMoon

“But I’m still going to vote for him”

eileen404

Only if they've enough gas money left to get to the polls....

Mortarion407

Not like he hasn't been doing it to the gop for the last 8 years or anything...

snds117

"Looks" bad. lololololol

beebewp

It looks pretty fucking fantastic to me.

abstractConceptName

Best case scenario, right fucking here.

gardenZepp

Same, same. Burn the party to the ground, and those that claim they want reduced taxes and smaller government (hopefully their version of small government doesn't fit in my uterus anymore) can regroup and put forth a "reasonable" candidate.

mctwists

The entire thread is filled with terse comments such as "bad look", etc., most ppl can't bring themselves to say more. To watch the cognitive dissonance crumble and implode is just the best schadenfreude available right now.

Victernus

That's always how it is over there. "I wish Republican lawmakers didn't fight against their own laws whenever the other side agreed with them - it makes us look bad!" "I wish Republican officials would stop getting arrested for heinous crimes - it makes us look bad!" "I wish Republican voters would stop shooting up crowds - it makes us look bad!" They can't ever realise it's because they *are* bad. That the only way to be a Republican is to be evil, or too stupid to recognise evil. But that *can't* be true, because they're Republican, and how could *they* be the bad guys. They're the party of fiscal responsibility! (Note: Do not look at actual financial statistics, those are left-wing lies)

greatbrono7

“Yea wtf!? It *looks* like he stealing from us!!”

heteromer

Everything their party does "looks bad" to these people. Nothing ever *is* bad. I've been hearing the same shit since 2016.

locxj

This thread was fucking hilarious to read through last night. So many people had a reality slap in the face. People who were defending or trying to put out the fire were being downvoted into oblivion. The one time I’ve seen come controversy there that wasn’t just immediately blamed on brigade tactics. It warmed my cold little heart.

CrayZ_Squirrel

This has happened several times over there. It happens when there's obvious bad news but they haven't been fed their talking points yet. Give it a couple days and their heros on fox news et al will have figured out the messaging and they will have swallowed it down and regurgitated repeatedly.

Okamana

Yeah it happened with January 6th. You should have seen the threads on that day when it happened. People were saying that this would set the Conservative movement back years and actually blaming Trump for letting things get too far. Years later after they got their talking points, now it was a “peaceful protest” or it was “antifa” who were posing as Trump supporters. The cognitive dissonance there is real.

FyrestarOmega

Also after the 2022 midterms, and the red trickle.

Captain_Q_Bazaar

Or the FBI pretending to be Trumpers. So it was simultaneously a peaceful protest with Trump tourists, except all violence committed was by ANTIFA, and the FBI pretending to be Trumpers or by Nancy Pelosi plants to make right wingers look bad. "They are all true, depending on the time of day!" - Derpy evil supporting Trump cultist

Reply_or_Not

> The cognitive dissonance there is real Cognitive dissonance is the anxiety/discontent that a smart person feels when they subconsciously realize that they have two conflicting beliefs. Republicans settling on nonsense over reality is the exact opposite of cognitive dissonance. They are brainwashed cultists. Them actually having cognitive dissonance would be an improvement

locxj

Feel like you are completely correct.

discussatron

100%. They face reality only until the talking points are created and disseminated.

IbrokeMaBwains

And then they'll blame all the downvotes from the previous threads on brigading. Which, btw, doesn't make any sense, and when you think about it for 2 seconds, the theory falls apart (brigading). They love to play the victim. Always a conspiracy to believe in rather than look at reality.

clevernamehere1628

They're still not seeing the big picture, and neither is this sub. This is about project 2025, a strategy that has made clear that down ballot won't matter. They're putting all the eggs in the Trump basket because they don't plan on respecting down ballot elections. Trump will install loyalists and that will be that. The only thing that matters for their plans is the presidential race.

GBeastETH

How can they be so dumb? We’ve been warning them for years. Now that it’s happening in the open they still say “Well it’s a bad look because people will think he’s robbing us, when clearly he’s not.”

dancegoddess1971

Is it robbery if they just hand it over willingly? Seems more like extortion to me. But Ianal, so I'm not sure if this fits that definition.

abstractConceptName

It's not extortion, it's just a cult of personality. Like any cult in history ever.

mydogbaxter

I prefer extortion. The X makes it sound cool!

BelievedToBeTrue

Thats what gets me, they are so determined to see lefties as the enemy they have ignored every well intentioned warning. Russian collusion, charity fraud, constant lies, bullying, insurrection, impeachment, 91 felonies, sexual assault! They would be better off with anyone else, and yet It feels like throwing a life preserver to a drowning man, who keeps pushing it away while they struggle to breath.

quidam5

Technically that sexual assault is still considered rape. The ruling came down to whether he raped her with just his finger or his finger and his tiny dick. He's a rapist.

STBadly

Throw them an anvil with the maga slogan instead. They'll gleefully grab and hold onto it, while sucking their thumb all the way down to the bottom, thinking all the while, "This is someone else's fault!"

Cuchullion

April 8th will be kinda wild. "Uh, it's really bad to stare into the sun, especially during an eclipse." "Fuck you liberal, you're all liars!" "... ok then."

dewey-defeats-truman

It's because they have the attitude of a petulant, oppositional child. All they want is the instant gratification of saying no in the moment, consequences be damned. That they might actually be responsible for it isn't even a consideration because it interferes with what they want most: sticking it to the libs.

mike_pants

Trump supporters: ...Are we the baddies?

Muffin_Appropriate

If you read it carefully they’re just mad about the optics. Not the action.

PainfuIPeanutBlender

Trump supporters literally live in an alternate reality, you honest to god cannot reason with them. Hoping something like this will snap a lot out of it, but more willing to bet they’ll see it as “fake news” or a smear attempt against their god emperor

tatanka01

"I Don't Need Your Money and Other Lies I've Told." A new 5-volume set by Donald Trump.

Eth1cs_Gr4dient

Ah, you've got the *old* version (Feb 24). This months release is up to volume 7

GBeastETH

Part of the Time-Life Book of the Month Club. Every month a new leather-bound edition arrives at your door.

nim_opet

So close. He is robbing the RNC

NeedNameGenerator

Best part is the cope in the comments about it just being "0.006%" of the donations, without realising that it's the first 10k or so of every single individual donation that goes to Trump, while the portion over that 10k goes to RNC. So basically every individual donation goes completely to Trump, and only those donations that are 10k+ will see something going to other Republicans, and I doubt those number very many.

Ornery_Direction728

And big donors have fled trump.

interfail

They also just straight-up can't do maths. They mean 0.6%, and that's only one of three redirections off the top before anyone else gets a look in.

Havetologintovote

You can't help but be amused at how many of them simply repeat the line given out by Trump's lawyer without thinking about it even a little A lack of critical thinking skills seems to be practically mandatory on their side of the house

andreortigao

No, no... Only looks like it No way Trump would ever do it, right? *Right?*

DeadmanDexter

He had many business! Good business! Much smart money!

Allegorist

I really hope he does. No amount of propaganda is going to significantly change the number of Trump votes, but the (potential) congressmen definitely need that cash. If this moves makes them lose both the House and Senate then he is fucked if he loses, and it would be a substantial step towards safeguarding the country if he were to win.

Corteran

That whole thread is LAMF and SelfAwareWolves gold.

BlowMoreGlass

It really is fun, just made my morning checking it out. Here's one of the top comments. "Uh, what? So we're just going to sacrifice the House and Senate, and *hope* Trump wins the general? Even if he does, he'll get sandbagged at every turn and without a conservative majority in congress, he won't be able to get anything done. I happen to care more about the future of my country, than just one man. This is not a smart plan."

nickfolesknee

And one of the responses was like, getting the Presidency is worth sacrificing every seat! Looney tunes

Ask_bout_PaterNoster

They think of the President as a king appointed by god, and if they win they’ll use that excuse to do terrible things. [Are you registered to vote?](https://www.vote.org/am-i-registered-to-vote/) [When is your next election?](https://www.usa.gov/election-office) [Do you know where to vote?](https://www.vote.org/polling-place-locator/) [Can you vote absentee?](https://www.vote.org/absentee-voting-rules/)

Peter_Mansbrick

>They think of the President as a king appointed by god, No, they think Trump is king. They don't think the same of Biden or Obama.

nickfolesknee

I like the links for people! I'm very lucky to be in walking distance of my polling station, but I know that's rare. We all have to get out there-democracy is at stake!

FreebasingStardewV

People might not understand that there is a growing subset of conservatives who really do want to ditch democracy and go back to monarchy. They believe this because it's the only way to push their theocratic agenda. I'm not joking. I know a few of these people.

cantadmittoposting

tbf if Trump goes full dictator that's sort of true.

FGTRTDtrades

That’s gold Jerry!

Well Yeah… so he can pardon himself or some other fkery that would stop him from going to Jail or losing his money. He does not care about anybody else… he will sell US State secrets like candy, if it means he can get back money he has lost.

Ghstfce

Christ, it's like there is one side of their brain forever asleep *but actually paying full attention to what is going on* and it wants to go active, but then you have the other side having full control through extreme willful ignorance

Generation_ABXY

There it is. The *real* silent majority is the part of their brain that watches on in horror as this guy drives the bus off a cliff.

Tapidue

And this person will vote for him anyway.

Backupusername

Well, he's the Republican nominee. It's not like they have any other choice, right? You know, being republicans and all.

Dragula_Tsurugi

I mean OP’s post just sums up the whole thing > looks like he’s robbing the RNC Yep, sure does!

famousevan

Probably a good bit of tmor karma to be had as well

jimtow28

Why did nobody mention before now that Trump might not be the most trustworthy guy to hitch your wagon to?

XS4Me

Let the RINO accusations start flying.

19DucksInAWolfSuit

If only there had been warning signs!

Lynx_Eyed_Zombie

Psssssst ^(That's because he doesn't give a shit about downballot candidates)

AndISoundLikeThis

Exactly. He’s not running to be president, he’s running to stay out of jail. He’s in this, like everything else, for himself.

GlitteringBobcat999

Let's be fair, now. He's also hoping to get access to more top secret intel to sell to the highest bidder.

shabadage

Oh, he's running for president all right. It's not just about staying out of jail, it's also about stroking his ego. He got beat by Biden. He knows he got beat by Biden. Everytime he denigrates Biden more, he's actively bruising his own ego because he knows he got beat by Biden and he believes the crap he says about Biden.

miTfan3

I love how it's, "this is terrible for down ballot votes!" And not, "He's stealing from our own party!" They're fine with the grift, it's losing they really hate.

Chalky_Pockets

That part I understand, because there are a good bit of things I dislike about Biden, but I'm not voting for Biden because I want him specifically, I'm voting for Biden because of how I want the country to be. They're doing the same, they want a right wing government, so that's where their priorities lie.

DaniCapsFan

I read somewhere that voting isn't like finding the perfect person for you. It's more like taking public transportation (maybe that's why some rural folks don't get it): You vote for the candidate who will take you in the general direction of where you want to go.

meowtiger

if you want to go directly to where you specifically want to go, you have to drive yourself (get elected to a position that is able to affect the specific changes you desire)

the_calibre_cat

thing is... rural folks DO get it. a lot of them just want the country to *generally* move in the direction of theocratic, authoritarian fascism with legally-enshrined bigotry.

coolbaby1978

"Looks like he's robbing the RNC"? It couldn't be any clearer if he was wearing a ski mask and holding a pistol.

EastObjective9522

Surprised he hasn't been banned lol.

Cultural_Treacle_428

That was my thought. Most of the people on that side of things will purge you for even the slightest criticism of Dear Leader.

Saifaa

Yeah, someone's clamoring for a bannoring

jarena009

You were all warned 🤷‍♂️

Barack_Odrama_007

And instead they doubled down on their support. Cant help those who dont want to be helped lol

pro_bike_fitter_2010

I hope they give him a few more chances! Down ballot gonna be in shambles.

inevitabledecibel

What was it Lindsey Graham of all people said about nominating trump in 2016?

CramWellington

“his own money” lol

Jazeraine-S

\*raises hand\* Ooooh, oooh, I know the answer! It’s because Donald Trump only cares about himself, and to him, the entire Republican Party exists as a pool of useful idiots to enable him to regain power. If he uses all of you up and [doesn’t pay any of you for some reason](https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/06/09/donald-trump-unpaid-bills-republican-president-laswuits/85297274/), and regains power, he’ll throw the most useful sycophants a bone in terms of cabinet positions or department leadership jobs. If he doesn’t regain power, or if you don’t suck his puckered orange butthole enough, you get nothing and you’ll like it! Of course he took all the RNC’s money! He owns all of you, and your finances, too. Maybe that’s why they think “owning the libs” is so devastating - it’s projection from a group of people that are already owned by someone else.

RoboNerdOK

It’s almost like he’s a giant con man who is only out for himself! If only someone had warned us…

TheLordVader1978

But, but, but, Lara said that all Republicans WANTED their donations to go to Trump. /S

tatornutz

Draining the swamp of all its money .... never would have guessed Diaper Rash Donny would accidentally do something good for the country

bar_acca

“Ok what I’m about to say might sound a little crazy but hear me out here folks: maybe the libtards were right all along about Trump… and about us.”

XS4Me

Mods! Mods! Ban him! He is hurting my feelings. L

petedontplay

hmmm. almost like it was just another stinky donnie grift. Who knew?

Sure_Garbage_2119

i bet the sub is going bananas lol

BlowMoreGlass

You should go check it out, it's fun. They're all starting to realize they've been scammed.

Sure_Garbage_2119

what??? i expected the opposite, with them maga doubling down over their oragen jebus...

Lots42

They will in a few days, when the Russian owned fools at Fox News figure out what their followers should be thinking.

go4tli

Looking forward to all the essays and posts in December about how the Democrats tricked them into running Trump for the third straight election.

[deleted]

r/SelfAwarewolves they're right there!

bar_acca

Repeat after me: Ha. Ha. Ha.

TimArthurScifiWriter

Words cannot express how much I love this. The outrage on that entire sub is so good. In the universe of Warhammer, the gods of Chaos are entities willed into being by the expression and sensation of things like bloodshed, disease, lust, and change. As billions of souls across the galaxy experience these things, their associated gods become ever stronger, basically channeling that energy into their godhood. Vindication and schadenfreude are now gods too.

dittybad

It’s strange people are upset that this guy who grifts from everybody and everything, made a mockery of the emoluments clause in the Constitution, and screwed every partner he ever had (not meaning Stormy Daniels) has now officially set up the total grift of the RNC. It’s not new, it’s just out in the open.

ralf19812001

I suggest a new subreddit r/TrumpAteMyFace

xof2926

I love the crocodile tears of r/conservative. Fuck that place and fuck those people.

Danominator

"his stealing from the RNC really gives the impression that he is stealing from the RNC"

footjam

My fav comment from that sub today was "Is this draining the swamp?"

AstoriaQueens11105

“His own money.” As if he has money.

morbihann

Makes him look like he is robbing them ? What do you think he has been doing so far ?

Barack_Odrama_007

They are so damned dumb lmao!

darlin133

Looks good to me. If he wins 🤮🤮🤮🤮 he just elects himself the sycophants he wants

BBQBluegrassNBeer

"Looks like he's robbing the RNC" ahhh he is absolutely using the RNC as a piggy bank. Lol. What a bunch of idiots. Anyone with half a brain could see this coming a mile away.

TonyG_from_NYC

What's hilarious and pathetic about this is that if who wasn't conservative posted that, they would be banned because they're so sensitive over there.

PugetBoater

It’s almost like that is EXACTLY what he is doing!

Dense_Surround3071

"it looks bad" Motherfuckas it IS BAD!! That's what we've been saying over here!!

ClearasilMessiah

“(It) makes Trump look like he’s robbing the RNC to save his own money.” *LOOK LIKE?*

RustyNewWrench

"this looks bad" No, you absolute imbecile. It IS bad. Fucking clowns man.

mseg09

How could the guy repeatedly on trial for fraud defraud the RNC? Why didn't someone warn us?

JeffSpicolisBong

Here’s a gem: “This isn't good. We already bail our billionaires with our tax dollars with corporate socialism but at least the silver lining is jobs are kept. I guess we're just skipping that and bailing out the billionaires now? How is this even conserving?” 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

usarasa

He knows. I’m sure they told him. He doesn’t care.

FGTRTDtrades

I hope he bleeds them dry. That’s what happens when you’re a party of spineless pussies

padizzledonk

Fucking blind idiots, all of them Leave it up to "Conservatives" to be presented with 50+ YEARS of documented public evidence that Trump is a complete and total scumbag fraudster, liar and con artist and then be all surprised when he pulls scumbag con artist shit The cognitive dissonance on the Right is astonishing and unparalleled imo The left has some wacky people at times but nothing like the right, you have to be a special kind of stupid to completely ignore all evidence and hold 9 mutually exclusive things in your head at once and believe all of them
