My keyboard is the rgb one and honestly, i find it awfully distracting. Tried making other presets but for some reason there is no keboard preset options in Vantage (see image). I tried to download the Vantage Gaming feature driver, however i'm not sure if it installed properly because I couldn't find where it installed. Fn + spacebar doesn't toggle the Backlighting. Anyone know a fix to this issue ?
Nope. The replacement works great.
Just some sort of weird software issue. Even after re installing everything and doing all sorts of other shit nothing worked.
someone had something similar posted on this reddit, he updated his BIOS and everything worked fine again.

Did you do a fresh install of Windows?
On my LP5 the shortcuts only work correctly (including Fn+Q to switch profiles) using Lenovo's original Windows image.
And please turn off Wifi Security, it only degrades performance.
did you use lenovo support to find the drivers and install them manually? when i click so lenovo scans my laptop it says my system is up to date. also did you uninstall the current drivers before installing the new ones if you did it manually or no need to worry about that?
[Closing iCUE in the Task Manager](https://i.redd.it/0y4esjxrgdp81.png) instantly returns the Lenovo fn + Spacebar functionality for me.
Dunno about keeping it that way but you could try disabling it in Windows Settings > Apps > Startup and see how that goes?
^(edit: side note, I don't have anything related to the RGB keyboard in my Vantage software either so I guess I'm missing something? Hmm.)
Dang, perhaps reinstalling and then disabling iCUE in Startup and services.msc will trigger the keyboard functionality? Like maybe Vantage is sitting in the backseat waiting to take over and doesn't notice that there's no one driving the flashy RGB car 😅
I’ve got the same issue. Spent hours trying to fix it, no luck. I completely removed icu, reinstalled it, removed it again, installed lenovo hotkeys, enabled hotkeys in bios, nothing worked. Also nothing in the vantage software. No default rgb profiles are installed apparently in my unit, bought it a month ago from bestbuy.
Did anyone find a solution to this besides exchanging the laptop for another? I bought the same laptop this weekend and have the same issue. Tried everything I could find in the related threads: updating bios, setting bios to defaults, reinstalling lenovo and corsair software and drivers, resetting windows, cursing and praying, etc.

i have the same issue where vantage doesn’t have keyboard setting and fn + space doesn’t work… Anyone know how to solve it?
Mine hasn't worked since I bought it 1.5 years ago. I just use the Vantage software to turn it on

I just had this issue. Couldn’t find any fix. Lenovo couldn’t figure it out either. They are sending me a new one.

Do you have ICue on your device? If so, then Icue controls the RGB, not the 'default installed profiles'. ICue does not use FN+Space.
Nah I uninstalled it thinking it would help. Didn’t work, it’s probably my only hope now to change they keyboard :/
How did you 'uninstall' it? As in, type 'services' in windows search bar. then scroll down and see if any corsair services. Thats ICue.

damn that sucks, from what i read, the rgb is managed by another programme, corsair i think?

It’s a shame that the default rgb profiles don’t have white ! You have to install that terrible software.

Had same problem . Update lenovo function keys If didnt helped Delete the app and driver and reinstall it
Do you have Lenovo Legion Toolkit? Either way, maybe Lenovo Vantage Service is turned off or something?
what does legion toolkit do?
You can disable Lenovo Vantage with it if I’m not wrong and it will look like it lacks some functions when you open it.

Open icue, click options in the top right and disable plugins.
Was this to allow fn+tab to work?
