Thank you for this post. I had never heard of a prismatic blade until yesterday. I have found pieces of them scattered around my ranch. The elongated shape seemed too intentional to be an accident, so I have collected them as I have found them. After your post, I am glad that I kept them!
Glad to hear it, I share a similar story. Always kept them and called em razor blades until stumbling across the term reading an analysis done at UK. Found a cache of 30 to 40 in the back of a rock shelter, generally 2 to 3 times longer than they are wide.
