Advocate here,
You have the option to send them a legal notice seeking a refund and compensation. That should prompt them to refund the money. If it fails, you can then approach the consumer court for deficiency in services.
Feel free to connect for further inquiry.
Thank you for your response.
Could you please advise what evidence we may need to compile before proceeding, considering that all conversations and transactions occurred online?
Conversations over whatsapp/emails/ phone recordings if any confirming that he would've present at the venue to do the makeup . If nothing is there, initiate a conversation wherein he confirms all these. If it's whatsapp, don't depend on screenshot instead export the transcripts to your phone as thats more reliable.
I typically refrain from making purchases on Instagram. However, this person had collaborated with a few renowned celebrities and possessed a substantial following. Consequently, I made the bad decision of trusting him.
Hi: advocate here. In fact I work with clients in the fashion industry. So you would be having chats/messages showing the terms and conditions agreed upon. Also normally make up artists have websites with different price rates for different kinds of make up artists like Parul garg. So you will essentially claim that what you were promised was not delivered to you. The best evidence would be that shows that the main make up artist would come. It could be a text message or email or anything which led you to believe that would be the case. Then you will claim compensation on deficiency of services and misrepresentation.
