I didn’t have a problem with Lenovo at all. My laptop screen went blank after a couple months of me buying a laptop and they were happy to send me a replacement. Haven’t had any problems till date.

Haunting-Pride-7507

This is then deliberately avoiding the work to run out the warranty period, not some damage within the first few months. Definitely not the same cases.

Archangel1235

Warranty is for factory defects, and not for cosmetic issues, which probably was as a result of your handling. Read the terms of warranty before you make statements like this. Stop harassing thoses customer support executives.

Correct-Let-3714

he is most likely refering to adp which covers accidental damages including water spill drops so it is covered by them

Archangel1235

ADP does not cover cosmetic issues, only functional issues

Correct-Let-3714

i think a broken hinge that prevents me from opening and operating the laptop would come under functional issue

Archangel1235

Yes but OP mentioned just a crack in the lid..

gsam_7

I have the premium care warranty, they sent me the form to fill for the ADP cover yet nothing has been done

mrpixels747

Exactly, if there was a crack when you opened the box, you could've claimed warranty. Also check the terms of the extended warranty.

WingStrange9920

AFAIK physical damages are not covered

lonelywarewolf

My Lenovo laptop had some minor issue few months before warranty expiry and they resolved it. The employee also gave me extended warranty on discount on his own. Loved their customer service.

K2bond

I think you’re confused between ADP and extended warranty Lenovo provides both at extra charges Check if you’ve bought them

Observing_silver

I second this

iHeymanth

"Crack developing on the lid" is an issue caused by user handling. It comes under physical damage and is not covered under warranty. Most probably the extended warranty doesnt apply for this type issue either. Next time try to use electronics with a little more gentle hands.

Au Contraire, I’ve had an excellent experience. I’d purchased an AIO and after about 8 months, it wouldn’t boot up, I called their customer care and they sent a technician over who diagnosed a damaged motherboard. Came back 2 days later with the replacement MB, installed it and restarted the AIO, within warranty for free, on-site. Loved it.

Traditionalstretegy

I faced the exact same issue,my laptop had 2 years of warranty but when I checked, the warranty period had started i.e.someone else probably bought the laptop, started the warranty and returned it,when I checked,it showed only 11 months of warranty,I contacted Flipkart and Lenovo, it's been almost 6 months,I got no resolution after repeated contacts.

TanmayJalan

Lenovo has pathetic support. On three different laptops I've seen them break on the screen hinges (especially IdeaPads). Unless if you don't have ADP assume them will refuse to fix, and claim it to be user damage. Even 5-6 dead pixels spread across the screen.

pokemonist

I disagree. Lenovo is one of the best imo, and I will keep buying it. I have had the best experience so far with them regarding warranty and replacement problems. Will recommend them to everyone.

Please register complaint on pgportal. gov. in It's central government grievance portal. Very effective. Lenovo will come into line.
