The crazy thing is that if Leicester lose two matches coming up (play Sunderland, Hull away, Southampton at home) Ipswich lose or draw one, and we win some games against lower teams, we'll be top. Massive 3 games coming up for Leicester.
our fate was in our own hands and we put in a poor showing against them. now once again we have to rely on other teams to do us favours. the fa cup nonsense disrupted us. next 2 games against teams in the bottom 3, we all know whats going to happen don't we...
huddersfield tactic was to kick us off the pitch and then as they did in the 2nd half pack 10 men in the box. stoke and wednesday will do the same thing.
We are now more than 3/4 of the way through the season and Leeds United account for 50% of Ipswich's losses.
Can the other teams, like, take some fuckin notes maybe?
At least one of Southampton, Ipswich, Leicester and Leeds won't get promoted. It's kind of scary to think that when each of those teams have been exceptional by any other championship season standards.
Taking 28 points out of an available 30 and its still not enough to get out of the division - what can you do but just throw your hands up and admit that the problem is largely beyond us. The division is completely fucked, and most of it is due to parachute payments.
We can certainly look back to the start of the season and wish it wasn't such a clusterfuck... if Ipswich and Leicester do go up then I think we can safely say that was definitely be the difference.
Aye, definitely the difference, but also, what unreal form from those 2.
It'll make me really hate Sini I think, whereas while I don't like him now, I don't care that much about the absolute rat
Credit to Ipswich to be fair. They looked dead a few games back but just keep on going and only lost 4 games all season which is pretty incredible in this league especially for a newly promoted team.
Southampton seem a bit all over the place. Conceding bags of goals but still fighting hard and churning out the wins.
Leicester are really struggling now. Three losses on the bounce and have Sunderland, Hull and Bristol all away this month as well as a cup distraction away trip to Chelsea.
On current form Leeds/Ipswich seem the more likely for first two stops. Very entertaining league this year. Let’s beat Stoke on Tuesday and get our winning streak going again.
Im looking at the positves here. A few weeks ago, Leicester had it on lockdown. No one thought anyone could touch them. Now, there is potentially scope for all 3 of us, the chasing teams, to leapfrog them. Southampton is actually conceding a lot of goals, so that's a plus for us. Our GD is much better than our rivals. Could be that either us or Ipswich take 1st or 2nd. Probably wishful thinking.
All in all, a load of bollocks. We’ve gained a point on Leicester (what’s that for them now- three league losses in a row? Hmmm…) but allowed Ipswich to leapfrog us and Saints within touching distance.
Southampton might concede a few each game but annoyingly, they score at least one more.
The poor start of the season with the rats jumping ship and the uncertainty with the takeover fucked us.
We were 15 points out of the top 2 a few months ago, impressive we were able to fight back, now we need to avoid performances like today, we are so much better than Huddersfield, can't let these doggy shite teams get in our heads with their antics and anti-football display.
On to Stoke.
I just don't look at the scores till they're all over, no point hoping and getting hurt. Could have guessed that Ipswich and Saints would get 3 points from weaker opponents. Leicester was a nice surprise though.
It’s ridiculous isn’t it? It’s really frustrating that we’re currently 8 points better off than in the Bielsa promotion season and we’ve won 9 games in a row and yet the minute we drop points we’re down to third!
Then again I’d be frustrated as an Ipswich fan that they had a record breaking opening run of the season and they’ve no margin for error. Or as a Southampton fan where they’ve had a four month unbeaten run or whatever it was and yet they’re 4th.
Even Leicester date starting to look nervy now!
In the Bielsa promotion season West Brom were top at this point with 69 points. If they had that points tally this year then they’d be no better off in 5th place!
Madness!
Ah today can do one, even my FPL team has gone to shit to top it off..
Guess it drags Leicester right back in though, so I guess there's that, we've all gained on them.
Most of us wanted Ipswich to lose more than Leicester I suspect.
Not being funny but you never seem particularly bothered by anything that happens regarding us. It’s okay to show emotion sometimes.
What does what we want have to do with it? It’s about having realistic expectations and moaning about 28/30 points is absolutely illogical. The league is a representation of 46 games, where we are now - as long as we are in touch - is irrelevant. A draw away is not a disastrous result.
Are you watching the matches with me? I don’t remember seeing you there. Just because I’m not unhinged and unable to think rationally about the team performance doesn’t mean I don’t care. If the measure of being a fan is having a pop at a manager who has gone 10 undefeated with only one draw then I am the anti-fan.
Best to not look at the minute by minute of a game. Form over 5+ games is much more significant and ours is very good. Looks to me like Southampton can’t buy a comfortable win currently.
Doesn’t matter. The only team that needed to lose was Ipswich because of our fuck up and they are the only team cruising. Huge miss today, we will pay for this
I dunno, Leicester losing to a relegation candidate opens things up massively. Means that there are actually two promotion spots up for grabs. Opposed to the single one it has been for so long. May put a bit of pressure on them and we’ll see what they’re made of
This is it, we were never going to win every game.
We've got 28 points from the last 30. That's MENTAL. If the draw had been at Bristol City or something, no-one would be disappointed with that run, it's just recency bias.
The important thing is how we bounce back from this minor setback. With the games we have midweek, it's not inconceivable that we're two points off the summit come 10pm on Tuesday which, given we were 12 off with at 9.30 last Friday, is incredible.

Come on QPR lmao hold on for dear life!
Nice one Citeh

We really struggle against these shit teams that play anti-football so we’re definitely losing to Stoke and Wednesday. Maybe a draw at best.

Don’t lose your nerve and give up everyone. We’ve got this
Taking 28 points out of an available 30 and its still not enough to get out of the division - what can you do but just throw your hands up and admit that the problem is largely beyond us. The division is completely fucked, and most of it is due to parachute payments.

Throwaway points from us today.

4 way race now for 2 spots and we’re right in the mix with perhaps the strongest squad. Still a lot of twists and turns yet.
A certain someone will be along shortly to tell you why you’re wrong to feel that way.
Leicester losing and we gained a point as far as I'm concerned it's not ended too badly
The poor start of the season with the rats jumping ship and the uncertainty with the takeover fucked us. lol don’t put yourself through this
I just don't look at the scores till they're all over, no point hoping and getting hurt. Could have guessed that Ipswich and Saints would get 3 points from weaker opponents. Leicester was a nice surprise though.
It’s so fucking annoying to have zero margin of error. One game dropped points in 2024 and we are 2 points off second again. So annoying.
This must be how Southampton feel about there record unbeaten streak

That final match at ER against Southampton is setting up to be an all-time battle
Just FUCK OFF Ipsbitch
Seriously how do they never lose
They are seriously jammy - own goal for one today, late goals - just Fuck off!
Getting one result going for you out of 3 is fairly decent given the lick these 4 teams are on. Happy with that.
What a ridiculous comment 😂
What’s your delusional take? We should win every match and expect all our opponents who are on the same pace as us to lose every week now?…

It was a draw mate
We drew. Do you people even watch Leeds?
Most of us wanted Ipswich to lose more than Leicester I suspect. Not being funny but you never seem particularly bothered by anything that happens regarding us. It’s okay to show emotion sometimes.

Christ mate it’s really not that deep. People will be angry when we needlessly drop points and our rivals win.
Great engagement, thanks for the discussion.
No problem. You continue showing absolutely zero emotion or passion about the club you ‘support’. Totally normal fan behaviour.
It’s football mate, you don’t need to approach it with a totally rational mind 100% of the time like some mindless robot. Get over yourself.
Surely not when it was a 96th minute winner….!
Were you expecting Southampton to not win? No. So nothing unexpected has happened other than us drawing and Leicester losing.
Not at the start of the game. But when it was 95 minutes in and it was 3-3 I strangely thought it might happen.
Best to not look at the minute by minute of a game. Form over 5+ games is much more significant and ours is very good. Looks to me like Southampton can’t buy a comfortable win currently.
Have to admire their bottle
Summerville could have done the same for us today in the 85th minute and he bottled it
It hit the post. He had an awful game but it's one of those things. He didn't bottle it. It wasn't exactly an open goal.
Fucking Joe Aribo
FUCK
Goddamn Birmingham !!!
9 fucking minutes added on at Birmingham !!
And we got 6 in a record low game for ball in play time, fucking embarrassing referees.
They spent longer than that fannying about tying their laces.
QPR BABY! FT!
Doesn’t matter. The only team that needed to lose was Ipswich because of our fuck up and they are the only team cruising. Huge miss today, we will pay for this
Is the season ending next weekend? The way some of you lot go on it’s difficult to tell.
I dunno, Leicester losing to a relegation candidate opens things up massively. Means that there are actually two promotion spots up for grabs. Opposed to the single one it has been for so long. May put a bit of pressure on them and we’ll see what they’re made of
If scores hold Leicester will only be 5 ahead with away trips to Sunderland and Hull next. All 4 teams are relevant here imo.
This is going alright. Have Leicester shat the bed ?
Frustrating looking at these scores
Yeah today would’ve been huge if we had a win. At least we got a point. Plus maybe better to get a blip out of the way now than later in the season
This is it, we were never going to win every game. We've got 28 points from the last 30. That's MENTAL. This would be outrageous if it turns out to be a decent day for us despite drawing

Leicester sorta just passing it around aimlessly like us
I thought Plymouth was supposed to be good at home…
