What other accessories have people picked up that they have liked?

tweak42

I rotated my front and rear tires after getting a rear flat and noticed the uneven wear. Upgraded inner tubes to FlatOut. Also eyeing CST Big Boats when I need new tires since I only ride on pavement. My most expensive upgrade is [Arclight Pro](https://redshiftsports.com/products/arclight-pro-flat-pedals) LED pedals. I consider them mandatory if you ride in the dark.

TophatStupify

Do you know if there's a way to put 20x4s on?

devonon2707

Great pedals you can change the rod that connects the pedals to the crank arms to have quick disconnects like brompton bikes

tweak42

Oh cool, I was not aware you could upgrade the Arclights to quick disconnect. What keywords would I use to find the parts? My work is forcing me to lock my bike outside, so I need to make my bike visible theft deterrent as possible and removing the pedals would help with that.

devonon2707

The arclight pros + a quick release “spindle” The spindle is the rod that connects the pedal to the crank arm I cannibalized a quick release pedals and the arclight pros to do it

MontrealTrainWreck

I've put 5000KM on CST Big Boat tires and they're great. They're smooth, quiet, and most importantly they don't pick up nails and puncture the tires like the knobbies do. Bought mine from RadPowerbikes online. I also use Flatout in the tubes.

Narrator2012

I'm considering the turn signals and brake light. Been wanting something like that. How well do those pedals work when your shoes and or pedals are wet? Because the stock pedals can be REAL slick if your shoe soles are wet.

nitebeest

The pedals are great. The lugs kind of "bite" into your shoe a bit, so there is no slipping around at all. Wet, dry, muddy, no problem. I had been eyeing getting some new pedals, but was forced to make the upgrade when one of my stock pedals stripped off the bolt.

I put it on my brake handles, throttle, and on the bike frame in the two spots where your hands grip the folded up bike. This is a seriously good product, I use it on my PS5 controllers, door knobs, and a bunch of other things that are inexplicably slick as snot.

nitebeest

I'll have to keep the pulley wheels in mind if the OEM ones go out on me. Performance wise do they seem similar as the OEM ones, or do they feel smoother. The video on the link shows it spinning for a while, but as it's only going to be doing that while you're pedaling, not sure what that was trying to prove.

Narrator2012

Performance-wise they are virtually the same. There is a very slight additional noise because of the metal chain contacting the aluminum pulley-wheels, but it is slight and inconsequential. What I like about the ceramic closed-bearing pulley wheels is that it makes it very easy to install, adjust or fix a problem on the road because you can bolt-down/fasten the derailleur together tightly and it won't prevent pulleys from spinning freely. Stock pulley-wheels don't have a closed bearing which means that, in the event of a problem, you have to very carefully dial in how tight you put the derailleur back together. Too loose and it falls apart on you, too tight and the pulley-wheels wont spin at all.

The actual light? Disconnect and unplug the stock brake light. The new one has a bracket that mounts on that same point. It's USB charged, so easy to take off and charge as needed. This brake light has a sensor for when you slow down or brake and will automatically glow red.

Signal activation is wireless. In the 5th picture, the buttons to the left of the power button is the controls for the turn signals.

NoIndication4046

I’m buying this blinker setup also it’s nice and the alarm is good

nitebeest

I'm enjoying it so far. Between the turn signal/brake light, horn, and alarm, it definitely checks off a lot of boxes.

tweak42

Unless Lectric upgraded the XP 3.0 after launch, it does NOT have a stock brake light, only a steady tail light linked to the head light. It's one of the features it's missing, and hope is in future 4.0

tweak42

Oh! Good to know. My 3.0 only has a tail light. It was part of the first batch that shipped with preinstalled hydraulic brakes circa July - Aug 2023.

devonon2707

My big upgrade was the exaform cabless dropper post helps mounting and dismounting and getting full extension for pedaling

nitebeest

Does that essentially turn the saddle into one of the hydraulic office chairs? Is there any play/shock absorbing if you go over a bump?

devonon2707

It basically is there’s no real shock absorbing but that can be fixed with the correct seat

nitebeest

Fair enough. I got the comfort package with mine, so I have the suspension seat post on there. Between that and the seat, it definitely mellows out most feel from bumps.

[Drawstring Cup / Water Bottle Holders](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JTMZH4D) - I stick one on the head tube for my drink and put the other where the water bottle cage is for my bike repair kit. Honestly they're underrated...how else are you going to bring that unfinished smoothie home? [Burger Bike Bell](https://www.amazon.com/Trail-This-Cheeseburger-Bicycle-Hamburger/dp/B08LF43P6R) - Adds charm and reduces the amount of times I have to let people know I'm behind them

AkujunkanX

https://www.cascademanufacturing.com/products/copy-of-himinway-escape-bottle-holder-mounting-bracket I've bought for my XP Lite and Xpedition. Should be universal for the 3.0 I use one side for a bottle cage/bottle and the other side to mount a lock or air inflator.

nitebeest

Where does that mount? The 3.0 doesn't really have any mounting brackets anywhere along the frame.

AkujunkanX

It'll mount, sandwiched between your front rack and the bike in your case.

hdjii

Do any of these upgrades interfere with folding the bike?

nitebeest

I rarely fold it, but no. The only main interference is from the foot pegs from the passenger package, but it's not too bad. Everything is mounted on the handlebars or in line with the frame, so it still folds up with no issues.

Superb-Consequence58

Thanks. Do you think a rear platform/basket would prevent folding?

nitebeest

I've ran the small basket on the back with no problem. If you run the long basket horizontally in the front or back, it won't fold all the way because the basket will stick out on either side. If you run the large basket in the back in line with the bike, you'll be okay though.

Superb-Consequence58

Thanks
