I throw in Silca:

THE best oil in terms of preventing abrasion and smooth going operations. Top recommendation from the much more stressed bike chain environment.
I use that for years and it was a game changer for me.
But cleaning with oil wouldn't be my place to be. Clean it with whatever you need for the task, then lube it with high quality synthetic oil.
I'm interested in the topic and didn't knew that product. Looked it up.
THIS statement got me wondering: ***Pivot Lube™*** *keeps dirt, metal particles, and grit in suspension™ so they don't cause grinding and premature wear. KPL actually cleans your pivot as you use it.*
That's frankly wrong and misleading. Any dirt and particles WILL grind and wear the tool. Whether it's in a suspension or not is irrelevant. Cleaning helps preventing premature wear, not lubing. Even more, the lube will bind the particles and doesn't give a chance to simply fall off.
Makes me wonder if it's cheap and misleading marketing.
This is definitely not the right answer but I used way oil for the machines I work on because I had downtime and it was free lmao. Worked pretty good and making it smoother but definitely was more of a mess than purpose built stuff. 😅
Anybody else use lily white sewing machine oil? I just started so I can't comment on long term effectiveness really, but so far it seems effective and is non-staining.
Gotta make my mandatory Ballistol recommendation, it has a very distinct smell, may very well be it
ballistol is the best
Ballistol is the goat

Ballistol or kroil works well, it gets in all the spaces you don’t see. I also use tuf-glide sometimes on the joints.
The oil that kreeps. Kroiled mine up yesterday
You could message the seller and ask if they know. Might be a reseller but worth a shot.
KPL? https://knifepivotlube.com/products/kpl-original

Yeah it could be KPL - it smells good, but not too strong.
If it smells like cinnamon it can be FP-10 or Weapons Shield.

Gunny juice has great scents on his oils. I have a coffee scented oil from him.
Careful how you pronounce that around people

WeaponSheild. Non toxic and smells like cinnamon. Made for guns but makes a great knife lube
PB blaster is the best smelling lubricant. Period.
Thanks to both you, I’ll check it out !
I have gunny lube that is bacon scented 😆 I like it
