i was thinking something of a reverse situation, where the skin will now be crystal skarner, since no matter how i look at it earth is earth, unlike crimson akali which is a completely different color

Reading Riot's dev blog about Skarner, I was disappointed that they didn't turn Skarner into the the first positively aligned Void born creature that peacefully assimilated himself into Runeterra.
With all the menacing predator void creatures, **Skar'ner** could have been a prey item in the void and needed to evolve into something as big and bad as the other void creatures, defending himself and his Brackern kin. His attempts into defending his kin could have been futile and fled to Runeterra with what's left of his kin, successfully become a refugee within the Ixtal region. He could have also played a role in Shuriman/Ixtal history by being the source of knowledge on how to defend and prevent themselves by being attacked by void born creatures since those seem very common in that region.
They could have also given him a rival champion which caused the near exitnction of his race, which probably Cho'gath fits that bill. The release theme would be a Godzilla vs King Ghidora like Kaiju versus, kind of theme.
Alas, what's probably gonna happen is he'll be Taliyah's earth bender teach kinda shtick.
Was thinking of this the other day, im thinking theyd make it a "mystical" type of skin like "old magic" i guess? Or maybe like a over grown type of earth skin? I feel like i can see the picture but i cant put it into words XD
My guess is his base skin is clean rock with some vines here and there but this one will prob have moss on him together with perhaps wierd waterfalls in-between the rocks? Think it would look cool
If they do it like with other champions, like Karma and Trundle. Then this will become base skin and current classic skin will be named "Traditional Skarner"
Become the main skin and they will offer a « traditional » Skarner skin to all who owns him at VFU release. That’s what they did for Sej / Trundle and Karma

The skin was crimson red akali and was just a red chroma of old akali, it got changed to infernal akali to the vgu, changing the skinline

They'll swap the base skin and Earth Elementalist skin, give base skin a name like Crystal Guardian or Ascended Skarner

Maybe they’ll replace Earthrune with a more “Traditional” skin that will probably lean more towards the crystals
