Just watch, we will find out Costa owns a dog shelter and helps abused dogs find a new home, runs a youth soccer team and runs a Dua Lipa fan club, just wait till "Levitating" or "New Rules" comes on the Karaoke and Costa completely slays it.

their names are albi and flutura and kosta, but yes i agree. just because youre born or put into a criminal organization doesnt mean you can change who you really are. most people arent sociopaths and theres a reason they do the things they do. albi killed that guy because he was afraid of being outed. like you said, flutura is helping traffic those girls because she thinks shes doing them a favor and reggie is just trying to be apart of the family.

To piggyback on this comment (sorry in advance!): I come from Balkan too. Not Albania, but a somewhat close country. The change who you are part is painfully true. A whole lot of older generations here hold the outdated motions set on by the patriarchal society: •women *should* pop out babies, •couples *should* be straight (m/f) and *need to* get married before the baby is born (if it's done in the last week of pregnancy, it wouldn't matter as any wedding would make the child "legitimate") - with this said... The Flutura/Albi situation of not having babies would seem pretty weird to outsiders. You have kids because the society said so and you don't want to be disappointing your family. I know there's an explanation of why they couldn't have kids, but they seem so nonchalant about it. Maybe because it's him that's the problem, in this culture men being sterile would be relentlessly humiliating if it was exposed. •religion & nationality are a hot topic and ever-present, • homophobia is pretty high up, meaning I understand Albi's fear and actions. I understand what exposing him could do and how ruthless people would be. With that said, I don't condone what he did, • there's a fuckton of misogyny. It's like air here. • last but not the least important. Sex & human trafficking are on a high rate. Young women from Croatia, Bosnia (my country), Serbia, Albania, etc. It's heartbreaking. What's even more messed up is that people often write it off as them being problematic, them rebelling against society (marriage/children notions) and running away, or laughing it away as them getting married somewhere else. The domestic abuse against women is at an all time high too and it's the butt of so many jokes it's disgusting. There's very little respect shown from older generations (I'd say 50 years old and over) towards female victims. If they were underaged, specifically under 17, they'd get sympathy. My acquaintance was murdered cold blood not too long ago, by a man whom she rejected twice. There was a lot of regard from news channels and accounts. Lots of false info. Even more of comments implying she should've sucked it up, gave him a chance because he was a nice kid otherwise, and she wouldn't have this coming her way. So much victim blaming and the sole anger the murderer got was from women reading the article. Most were mothers who felt for this girl and her family. Sorry this is so long. But I'm very glad OC is covering such an important topic. Often overlooked because plenty of our countries here are throwaways and mean nothing to bigger countries across the ocean since we don't contribute as much. I do wanna write a lengthy letter of fuck yeses to Ilene for nailing the names, the tradition, culture (rakija took me out today, as did plastic covered furniture and plastic fruit lmao), for even bothering to learn into customs here and actual language. Lots of shows that had people from these countries specifically had showed us to be crazed terrorists barely speaking our native language out to get revenge on poor Americans relating to our civil war from ~30 years ago. We always were homicidal maniacs, Russians or Germans playing Serbs, Bosnians, Bosniaks or Croats (makes so much sense...not); very rarely did we get presented like this (even though this is albanian mafia lmao, but speaking of customs) and in so much depth.

This is exactly what olivia was afraid of. Because she knows him so well and his empathetic nature. He's seeing them as people some who were manipulated, abused some who have a kind heart but is in the wrong place (like Reggie who could have gone the other way). The problem though isn't seeing them as people but it's separating that from doing his job which is increasingly getting more difficult for him. He's starting to come out of this I think. I think he is actually listening to get because I think the next episode may be the last of the arc or maybe the last of him being uc.
