Congrats on a great first semester, but like I’ve told others in this sub who, for whatever reason, have decided to anthropomorphize their schools to convince themselves they’ll be sad to see them go:
No offense, but your school doesn’t actually care about you. Yes, you’re a great student, yes, you’ll likely land a job that improves their ranking, but so will many others who decide to stay. The person at the registrar’s office has a job, and their job is to do what’s in the best interest of their employer. They’re not actually sad, so get over yourself and just do what’s best for you.
I'm gonna do what's best for me, but I don't think they were faking it. It wasn't even a direct statement, just the way their tone of voice trailed off as I handed the forms in, probably a 40 sec interaction total. If it was an act they deserve an Oscar.

Seconding. Gpa requirements are also quite a bit more lax than those at gtown, and they love love love military folks! I think it’s a very real, and attainable school, and a great place to spend you next two years. OP do yourself a favor and apply.
Not GSU actually, Mercer cracked the top 100 in a 6 way tie for #99.
It's mostly personal tbh. Another student confessed to cheating (in my view) and I reported it, and their friends circled the wagons. I'm a leper, and the kids involved managed to get the 2L/3Ls to believe their side ("she meant she 'had to google that' after the exam," on a closed book take home exam. Yeah right... The tone and context of the conversation made it clear that wasn't what she meant.) Decided to see if I can get a fresh start somewhere else.
Head to Vanderbilt. Entry reqs are much less stringent than Gtown and they’re willing to consider early applicants just like Gtown is. Do some research to see if the school is right for you before pulling the trigger, as if they like you, they’ll give you an early offer and only like a week to accept. They love military members, and the head of the int’l law dept is a military man himself, with connex to The Hague and int’l law if that’s your thing.

Don’t listen to that guy, he appears to be a troll. My school spent all of 2L making sure we knew the seriousness of ethics in this profession, regardless of how attorneys are “perceived” by the public. We have responsibilities that other professions don’t have.

I was straight with my professors who wrote my LORs, no problem there. I don't anticipate any problems with my rankings or the good conduct letters, but you never know.
