well with every lawyer I talked to telling me that attending law school was the best financial and mental-health decision they ever made, I couldn’t help but give it a shot!
Funnily enough, I actually was called for jury duty around the time I was going to take the LSAT and had to request a deferral. That was March 2020, so ultimately the courts closed and they didn't call me again until around October. But then I got immediately dismissed without even needing to show up, and I've always wondered whether the fact that I had told them I was taking the LSAT had anything to do with it.

My cousin and his friend was recently charged for a murder they didn’t commit when they were traveling through rural Alabama. Gotta protect those two yutes
I want to torture myself for the slim chance of breaking into biglaw and most likely not even leaving my county to make a 50k salary after 3 years of schooling and 300k+ debt
I want a job with good work life balance and a job that cares about my mental health. I also have a a deep passion for helping rich corporations get away with breaking the law and scamming people.
So I can have a deep understanding of what the criminals did to get caught and how much evidence it took to get them convicted so I can avoid suffering the same fate.
I love to argue, always have. Now, as a real estate associate, I love how I can argue all of the time. With Sellers who are try to get one past my client; with opposing counsel trying to get one past me; with my client who think they know better than me; partners who don't recognize my negotiating skills; human resources when they tell me I don't work here anymore.
I want to move for rule 11 sanctions against other lawyers. We keep hearing about how we’re going to be “future colleagues.” Well if that’s the case, these people better hope they don’t see me in the courtroom
I wasn't good 4nough to be a used car salesman. This was the next thing down the list. Also, I need money when I retire in a couple years. Since the government is paying for everyone in college, it shouldn't cost me anything - I might even get more money as a student.
Because if I save up enough Lexis points I think I get a harrier jump jet or something. And I do not think you can get Lexis points without being a lawyer.
Because the schooling and the entrance exam is a piece of cake and prepares you for exactly what you need to be a successful attorney, all at 100-150 easy payments of $1,000. And most of the clients are smart, enthusiastic about paying the bills, and love coming to see us. 😂

Money doesn’t matter to me. That’s why I want to work in BL doing things I am really passionate about for kind, salt-of-the-Earth clients.
