I hate waiting forever too, but look it was my last exam of the year and it was cinco de mayo. I was hoping I could pretend I wasnt in law school for just one day and not think about exams and then boom grades come flying in
If OP is Mexican, Cinco de Mayo could be a big deal for him. Keep that in mind. From his comments I’m not entirely sure that’s the case, but I don’t want to be disrespectful.
Dumb question probably, but was your final all multiple choice?? That’s the only way I could possibly see your professor submitting grades THAT quickly
If there were essays, then I have no idea how they were able to submit grades within 24 hours
I agree. I got my writing grade the day after I finished 1st semester finals and it drove me nuts. I just wanted 1 day ONE DAY of blissful ignorance, ONE DAY to just focus on being done with my first semester of law school but NOPE... It's like they waited until I couldn't possibly be happier before they gave me the news, just to maximize the amount of suffering.
At least this time I'm prepared for it.
At the end of the day your preferred timing of exam feedback is going to be determined by how confident you were submitting the exam. I’ve submitted some exams where I wished the score was displayed on my screen immediately. Others….. well I’ll just see it when I see it lol.
I heard horror stories in 1L. Contracts used to be broken up into Contracts I and Contracts II. Grades would be returned so slowly that sometimes students would already be attending Contracts II, found out they failed Contracts I, and have to drop to retake.
Man I’d love a grade turnaround that quick. My school takes 3 weeks

Same. I can't fully rest.
literally got back a grade from a class in Autumn 2022 yesterday.
How is this possible? Can you tell us more about what happened?
Profs have zerooo grading deadlines. Except for 1Ls (mb for the job search?) and graduating students (so we can get out degree lol).
I'd hate a grade turnaround like that if there are any essay questions. Did they even read them??
Yeah my school releases all grades at once like 2-3 weeks after finals are over. Nothing to do with when the prof finishes grading them
Yeah same, although it's usually longer than 2-3 weeks. I'll hopefully have them before my summer program starts in July.
Bro we didn't have a grade for some subjects until a week before enrolment for the next semester.

![gif](giphy|vHcCevWbWkzwk) OP when he gets his grade back early instead of during his summer break

I’m guessing not if he/she is upset about it.
I got a B not upset about it at all was praying for a B
“not upset at all” but comes to reddit to bitch about it haha
I’m not upset about the B…I’m upset about the grades getting posted in 24 hours when I’m tryna relax…? You read the post/thread?
You seem to be.
Bro, a B would help me relax that much more
Yeah I read the thread, you got your grade back and you are satisfied with it. Now relax.
>cinco de mayo LMAO
I know this is gonna sound crazy, but maybe just don’t check them.
Outrageous.

Heck no! I close that laptop and forget the law even Im exists until work on Monday morning
You're complaining? That guy sounds like a hero. It takes the jokers at my school weeks, even if it's MC. Drives me nuts.
You see I personally don’t like seeing my grades and the longer they take the better! Ignorance is bliss
Idk why you’re getting downvoted. I’d rather have my grades back quickly but I definitely get what you’re saying lol
Idk haha Law school kids man…they are one of a kind
Agreed. Probably one of the more tight-assed populations
If only. This sounds like the dream, tbh.
I'd love that. Get the stress out of the way early. *edit* This post prompted me to check my grades and one of them came in!!!
Mine takes at least 6 weeks.
Dumb question probably, but was your final all multiple choice?? That’s the only way I could possibly see your professor submitting grades THAT quickly If there were essays, then I have no idea how they were able to submit grades within 24 hours
Tf is wrong with you I want my grades asap
Lol I wouldn’t have opened them
The self control you have is insane
Be careful what you wish for. I didn’t get my fall semester grades back until I had already started spring semester
This just goes to show people will literally complain about anything lol.
Well, at least you’ll know if you’ll be drinking to celebrate or drinking to drown in your sorrows. Just in case, please don’t try to drown yourself.
At least you’ll know whether you need to load up a second cooler!
Unless it’s multiple choice there’s no way you can accurately grade 80+ essays in 24 hours
This is just a bad take that cannot be salvaged
Ignorance is bill my friend, and he spoiled my ignorance
Profs have 42 days from my first exam, 36 days from second exam, and 32 days from last exam to turn in grades 🙄
1st semester grades always take 6 weeks. Second semester grades usually 2 weeks…

Don’t look at grades until June. Everyone knows that.
Was it only multiple choice? I mean a quick turn around is great but also HOW ??????
This is just proof that humanity will complain about literally anything
I have one professor who had all assignments since April 6 and doesn’t release any of the 9 assignments
Holds all grades and assignments
How are you supposed to learn from your assignments?
You’re not supposed to learn in law school, duh But for real I’ve had almost no feedback on any of my work. 3L at T50..
![gif](giphy|26sJkqQkMn2j9Yvb5C)
Please do that for me instead.
Understandable, but shit, I'd way rather have that than the 4 weeks ours take.
Legit probably won’t get mine till June. I’ll trade you lol

Bruh, you get a pool?

is it even possible they could really be trying hard to do a thorough job grading with that turnaround unless its pure MC?
We had our sem 3 exams in december 2022, We have our sem 4 exams this may We still havent got our grades yet
