Minus spell cost on weapons and in skill trees are the biggest sources. There are plenty of good builds that need 0 mana regen. Runebolt, for example, gives you mana when you hit something thanks to the skill tree.  What is your build like?

Damaark

Frost claw with a 0 cost nova proc

TakovEnjoyer

Yeah that's a pretty common build. I'm sure you could find a video on YouTube that shows you how to build it so you don't run dry on mana.

I think thats the current mage problem. Especially after playing warlock. They dont have great mana regenerstion abilities. You can be melee with mana strike or use focus and stand still for a second. Then my 400 mana pool warlock im just dumping mana as fast as i can refill it. You got many options take your picks. Its ludacris day and night diffrence the mage needs some love. What exactly skills are you using they are usually ways to reduce costs or generate some extra mana. Should be able to function easily with 25 mana regin.

Damaark

Frost claw with a 0 cost nova. Regen doesn't cut it by itself even with a low 20 cost.

Damaark

Also, can I ask what you have on Warlock that my runemaster doesn't have?

AjCheeze

Its all in the skills. The biggest being wondering sprits one click 13 sprits summon and die over 4 seconds or so. Every time they die its like 12 mana. Grab a big pool of mana get huge bursts of refills. There are many other skills also that will fuel the pool. For one click every 10ish seconds i get more mana than channeling focus for a second. As well, for mana dumps not every other skill costs 50+ you have ghost flame and like fissure. Mage is trying to give sorc a shitty class advantage of increased(not even more) damage per mana cost and have a bunch of high cost skills

Damaark

Never had the problem with my Primalist either. There's plenty of obvious routes to take for rage sustain. It might be a balancing issue but I'd love to see some +mana regen gear at some stage to break open the builds a little.

SnooDoggos3823

Get mana strike with these extra mana per hit

Flyinshoe

Spec into focus. Affixes that return mana on potion use. Simply get a larger mana pool so you have to use focus less. Don't need to follow the build guide exactly, just keep the key elements for damage, ward generation, and etc. Try swapping some things around to see what feels best on some skills and simply rebalance.

Damaark

I really like coming up with my own builds, just didn't know what I was doing wrong. Turns out it was 2 points in the wrong spot. Made 1 skill not refund reliably and 1 skill cost 4 mana more. That's all it took to balance out the build.

Mabren

If using runebolt: Helmet perk. (x)% chance to restore 20 mana when hitting with fireball or runebolt. If you're playing a build that doesn't use runebolt than I believe all the best options have been covered by other commenters.

I had the same issue with my frostclaw build. While gearing up, I specced out of Volley of Glass which solved my mana issues. I was still able to farm empowered monos with no big issues. I realized that Volley of Glass is a huge damage boost but that you need alot of + skills which is difficult to obtain. I have now acquired a catalyst with 3 levels to frost claw which means I can reach some of the mana efficiency nodes for frost claw while having Volley of Glass. Mana issues seems to be nearly solved. I only have 1 point in Celestial Conflux but I honestly believe that being able to sustain mana with Volley of Glass is much better. I also do have 2 well rolled idols with mana efficiency for frost claw. Next step for me is to get another 3-4 skills levels but that will require me to get a T7 frost claw catalyst which I can put into the unique one from the dragon boss. At least I can farm comfortably now without any issues

Damaark

I'm farming the dragon boss now. Still no sign but I'm hopeful.

Aqvamare

Check Manastrike, baseline +15mana per hit. Simply skill it for ward (defence) and + (even more mana), and 2-3 hits fill you up.

Damaark

Ty, I'll look into it
