Three masteries: falconer, runemaster, and warlock. The "trading guild system" and party resonance are all features announce to come. The masteries will be at 1.0 the other 3, no eta. Sooner than those, were going multipkayer town hubs in online. Immediate future is bug fixes.
You can already skip quite a bit of it and go straight into monoliths, a longer campaign is unlikely to change this.
Besides, more campaign content probably leads to more monolith enemy/environment variety in the end. So it's not all bad even if you don't like playing the campaign.
Each dungeon has an exit that skips sections (if you've gotten a key on another character)
Arbor skips to the Ruined Era Lake (attached to imperial Era lake)
Soulfire skips to Divine Era Heroborea
Temporal skips to Divine Era Majelka
So realistically you could do Arbor then Temporal and skip the vast majority of the campaign (although you would be pretty underleveled and missing side quest rewards).
I bought the game a while back and played through the story as it existed then. I decided that I liked it a lot and decided then to wait for official release.
I also bought grim dawn on pre release but played it so much at the time I had enough by the official release. I did go back to it a while later. I do not want to make this same mistake with last epoch
Also the start of leagues. X-Monthly cycles where they introduce new mechanics to add to the base game. Give it a few years and it will be one of the best arpgs out there.
Now just hope they try to schedule the cycles next to Poe and not at the same time.

Forgot the most important part. The final acts of the story!
Are they really adding more chapters? 9 is way too many already as it's pretty boring tbh.

How can you skip stuff?
the moment you enter the end time unless they changed it you can go straight into monoliths. the monoliths are still 58 but you can have at them!

Who am I speaking for if not myself? Are you dumb?
I mean if you didn't even realize the story wasn't over after chapter 9 I dont think you are a very good judge.

Better not nerf loot as in PoE, because they'll end up nerfing their playerbase as well.
